happy to see you uploading again. fav mustang channel on yt👌
Man, that means a lot! Definitely missed uploading and can’t wait to elevate the content. Greatly appreciate you sticking around and the kind words 🙌🏻
@@SVTEvan absolutely man!
Had to like and sub, fellow illinois guy here, i have a 14 track pack, mt82 roush blower car and got it for the same purpose as you pretty much, also been watching alex since like 2013. Love the content!
Where in Illinois? If northern Illinois, I’m sure we’ll bump into eachother at local events! How do you like the roush blower? Between that or going Paxton/Procharger down the road.
Hey Evan I have been watching you for awhile now and I love the content and am so glad you made a video on the 2011-2014 mustang I am going to be looking for one soon and wanted to ask if you could help me look for one because I have a hard time knowing what to look for and no one to help
Me. Anyways keep up the great work Evan!!!
Thanks man! Where you located? I can keep an eye out for you on any good deals I run across.
Great video!
Thank you!
I have a 2013 mustang Gt premium with track pack & also the Glass Roof packing in Deep impact Blue. With 60k mileage according to my Marty’s report, my car is 1 of 271 in my color and the packings that I have. I love my car
I have always loved the gen 1 5.0s but I am terrified of that mt82 lol. I like to enjoy my cars and I don’t want to worry every time I wanna bang gears
A couple of months back i bought a 15 GT manual i really wanted a 13-14 but before that had a 11 v6 and loved the body style but only went with S550 for that updated interior and independent suspension.
bought one a few weeks ago and man this car is so much fun
Congrats! Glad you’re enjoying it
I'm at the point where I just want to get one of my dream cars so I can play with it haha for a mustang I have been dead set on a 13 or 14 but due to the lack of options available unless I want to drop 30k (CAD) or more I have been contemplating maybe going with an 18 or 19. If I'm gonna spend close to the same amount of money then might aswell just go with the more modern and in general better performing sports car that is more likely to not be completely miled up and also unless I'm just not looking in the right places it's either very expensive or impossible to find gen 1 coyote crate motors to replace a potentially blown up/high mileage motor. Kind of the dilemma I'm in for the time being until I'm actually ready to make that purchase
The newer S550’s are great cars. They just don’t have the same retro styling and “raw” driving experience as the S197. Although they’re certainly more refined and better in almost every aspect. I think the 13-14 is only going to go up in value over time.
Nice car like the wheel what
size and brand of those nice wheels and tires
Thank you! Forgestar F14’s. 19x9.5 front and 19x11 rear. 305/35/19 rear tires and 265/35/19 front.
In between buying a 2014 or a 2020. Manual
yes you should.. That's my dream car.. i would consider switching the front bumper to the gt500 bumper, that;s my take but what a very beautiful car..
This car will eventually get a gt500 front bumper :)
Hello would you by any chance know what the spring you would have seems to be low. But nice
BMR drag springs. It’s actually typically even lower, just on uneven ground. The thumbnail shows the natural stance better
Thank you for the reply .you do have a nice car. I guess you have 3.15 gears original tires height is 27.68 and yours i think is 27.44 was asking was wondering how it feels with bigger tires in the back if it you think it s slower on the quarter mile with those big tires. More rotation mass or you feel the difference.
Me personally im not a fan of the 5.0 raspy exhaust note but something about the gen3 5.0 sound a whole lot better, after i have a lil fun with my 3v definitely going with a 5th gen camaro ss as it still remains that muscle car exhaust note
All depends on the exhaust setup. If you got catless, it gets downright disgusting. Resonator delete + roush is the perfect level of volume and tone. My flowmaster outlaws were less raspy but way more drone.
I disagree I think gen 1 sound better than gen 3 but the old mod motors sound better than both. Also coyotes sound better in pre 2005 mustangs for whatever reason must be the exhaust routing.
hell yeah you should, just off the looks alone
i have NO plans on selling my 2014 drop point-o, especially since i picked up mine for $27,000 with only 7000 miles on it back in 2018
🤝
I've got a 14 gt premium with 13500 on the clock I'd be willing to part with if the money is right..
I’ve had my first car for about 6 years now and I really really want this to be my 2nd car I’m saving money rn I pray I make it and get my dream car❤️
Keep grinding and you’ll own one before you know it 🤘🏻
Bought a 2014 two years ago. Got it for 31k. It's a ruby red mt82 gt convertible premium with tech package. Had only 18k miles and completely untouched, windows were never even tinted. I had a s550 but I prefer the s197; the perfect mix of retro and modern. Looking forward to future s197 content. Cheers 🍻
I’m jealous of your mileage. I’m sure it’s like brand new! Sounds like you’ll keep that one forever. Appreciate the sub and kind words 🙌🏻
@SVTEvan I definitely plan on keeping it. It's my summer only, old man cars and coffee mobile. 😄
18k miles is craaaaaazzzyyy
@@grid426 right on man 💪🏻
The answer is always YES my friends!!
I would have to agree! Although I’m slightly biased ;)
@@SVTEvan I'm definitely biased! there's just nothing like the feeling of ripping a straight axle car that's fighting for traction and looking for a crowd to dash into😅
9:23 😂
😂
Also video was nice also and what kind of camera
Thanks! Used my iPhone 13 Pro Max for this video :)
@@SVTEvanI’m in Elk Grove CA
@@SVTEvanI don’t have enough at the moment but am trying to sell my 08 v6 convertible mustang that’ll be a big chunk towards a new one
So you said you got yours in the 70k mile range. I’m looking at a few with like 50 or 60k miles on them. At what point will you say these cars stop being reliable? I don’t want to get myself into a mechanic nightmare
car don’t become unreliable because of mileage cars become unreliable when you don’t drive or maintain them.
The coyote platform in general is very reliable. I wouldn’t let mileage scare you as maintenance is a bigger factor in overall longevity/reliability. Replacement parts are a dime a dozen, so even if something does go wrong, it won’t cost a fortune.
If you’re specifically looking for a 13-14 like I was, they’re now 10+ years old. So the average mileage per year is 10-15k. So anything under 100k is technically “low mileage”. I’d say anything 75k miles and less is a relatively safe bet.
You can always do a PPI (pre purchase inspection) to ensure you’re getting a solid vehicle.
Mannn keep these mustangs a hidden gem😓😓
They’re awesome. I’ve been enjoying it more than I thought I would.
Yes, I’ve driven every modern Coyote car for a good amount of miles and the Gen 1 feels the most “Mustang” and I have the most fun.
Glad you agree!
Then drive a special one like a Mach 1 HP. It's not even a quarter of the car. GT350 Tremec, 350R suspension and wheel/tire spec on Sport Cup 2s and Magneride...it'll out grip and out perform a lot of modern supercars on a race track/twisty road.
@@Stealth_Rider91 for handling, absolutely the Mach 1 or gt350 are better. Two completely different cars with different purposes. They just both share the Mustang name. I prefer more straight line fun rather than road course/twisty roads. But there’s nothing wrong with either way.
@@Stealth_Rider91 yea, the HP Mach’s are a great track car and the GT350R is my all time best Mustang, BUT the S550 feels almost foreign as compared to a Gen 1, Fox, or even a New Edge and most people say it doesn’t feel “Mustang” that being said I’d pick an S550 as a daily being that I have one and the creature comforts are very nice to have.
@@SVTEvanSolid axle is better for drag racing but Steeda makes a stop the hop kit for the IRS. I prefer as much grip for twisty stuff. Not trying to sound like an asshole hater, but I only started buying Mustangs because of the focus on handling in 2015.
💪
🤝
my take on the looks:
05-09: boxer
10-12: pitbull
13-14: bullmastiff
Good analogy!
Ill save you 10:45. YES!
👍🏻
Im looking to buy a 2012 mustang GT with clean title 140k miles automatic. He wanted 12 i got him down to $9500 good deal?
Yes
I paid 17 for a 11 premium with 96k
@@b3ntl3yB thank you. I'm looking at a base model .I'll put leather seats and a sound system eventually
Good deal. Go for it
I got it
i wish they had a coyote in the 05-09 body. i prefer the 05-09 body. 2011/2012 mustang gt with manual trans pop up for around 15k around me with pretty low miles.
The end goal for me is to swap a coyote into my 05 4.0. If you can get into a 11-12 with low miles for 15k, I’d jump on that deal.
@@SVTEvan that's what I thought. But man. I just can't get over the 09 body. It's so good.
But yeah. I've found multiple 75k mile 11-12 GT with manuals trans for 15k. I don't have 15k cash so I haven't tried to buy one yet. But even if I did idk if I would take one of them over an 09. Such a hard decision
If you're doing a coyote swap go for the gen 3,2,1 set up. Just Google it and you'll understand.
Buy an early s197 and coyote swap it.
You can even find one already swapped for likely less than most 11 up coyotes
After having my 10 v6 I for sure want a 12-13 gt
Keep working hard and you’ll get one 🙌🏻
@@SVTEvan that's my plan man been subscribed to u for a while! Keep up the fire content 🔥
I have a 2024 HPP ecoboost and I love the body lines along with the other bells and whistles, but the 11-14's just have that original Mustang look that everyone knows.
Agreed! How do you like the HPP ecoboost?
@@SVTEvan it’s a lot of fun and has plenty of power for around town/highway use.
:)
😘
Plz stop buying so I can get one 😁😁
lol I won’t be buying more cars anytime soon
Dude with all do respect why did you get a Mustang GT with an automatic
Because the mt82 is trash and I prefer an automatic? If I want to drive manual, I’ll drive my 2003 cobra.
I had to go the route of auto for my 2012 gt cause it was the only one with 36k miles - also being in Atlanta makes stick shift hell, coupled with nerve damage in left leg😒
What happened to an upload a week🥲 I need more videos pleaseeeeeeee
I’m lazy lol. I really need to upload again
