Your complaints are rather negligible, honestly.
No offense to s550 owners, but the 11-12 5.0 actually looks like a Mustang. S550 has aston martin fusion hybrid front end. Looks to eurotrash to me. S550 2018-19 rear end looks great though. But the 11-12 IS BEST BANG FOR BUCK. Take your Gen 1 shortblock and forge it, then add Gen 2 heads and cams plus a Roush or whipple on e85, and you have 800wheel solid axle practically indestructible monster good for 9's and last 150k miles. Sorry i am partial to 11-12 5.0. But it still looks like a mustang man👍

I've owned my absolutely mint 12,000 mile 2012 GT for about a year now and I can't imagine ever getting rid of it. It's a Kona Blue 6 speed coupe 5.0 with a saddle brown interior. From what I can find out there was probably only about 100 of those cars ever made with that paint code and interior so it's a pretty rare combo. IMO the 11-12 mustangs are the perfect looking mustangs. They're the best overall look and blend between retro styling and modernity. 412 horsepower is nice too.
I actually dont mind the cup holder position, i can rest my arm on the cup while shifting lol
I drive a jeep wrangler. I'd love to have the "terrible" fuel economy of a mustang

This is my favorite gen of the s197....when I was out trying to get one, but prices were so high, I was better off getting my 2016 GT for so close of a price....still hoping to get one while still owning my s550
I found one cheap with the automatic sport shift and low miles. If I was ready I'd jump on it.
I have a 2012 and honestly am surprised you didnt say how bad the transmission sucks!

Mt82 is fine. Just notchy when cold. Take 700wheel easy
I have the mt82 with a Hurst shifter and it works great, maybe you just had some bad luck.
With the GT premium you could’ve got the custom leather option, it does make the seats and door panels look better.
Garrett McKie I don’t mind the look, it’s the lack of bolstering. Even the base seats on the S550 are way more supportive than these.

I have owned several fox and sn95 cars over the years the "issues" people have with these newer stangs aren't an issue at all for me. the interior is plenty nice for what it is. the trans is fine with an upgraded clutch (most of the problem) and proper shifter upgrades. the tranny itself has been known to take 600+ wheel hp no problem that is way more than the older trans were capable of so to me it isn't that bad of a trans...the issues lie in the stock clutch and shifter. I'm gonna get one of these when I pay my fiesta st off in a couple years the st will continue to be my main daily the stang will be my fun warm weather car I love these coyotes. I want 11-14 prefer 13-14 but 11-12 are almost as nice to me and can usually be had cheaper so we shall see. the ideal one I want is a 13-14 track pack premium coupe. I love the color on this one in your video it looks awesome. I'm gonna run a 17x7/15x10 forgestar drag wheel setup on mine you can shed a ton of weight, it looks awesome imo and it obviously helps alot with traction and launching not to mention tires for this setup is way cheaper than 18-20 inch wheels

Dude, all S197s have cupholders behind the shifter. All you do is put the cup in the furthest one back toward the rear seats if the cup is in the way lol. Also I don't have those brake problems, might want to have a shop take a look at it.
Dennis S even in the further back cup holder it can be awkward if the cup is tall/has a straw. I really prefer to drive with the lid closed.
I have since bled the brakes again and realized I had two seized caliper slide pins in the rear so once I got that situated it felt better. Thanks for watching!

My 13 gt pp is daily driven and sees New England snow every winter, drives better than any other car that does not have snow tires, no chains even needed, not even in 6 inches of snow. All around great car. But the cup holder to me is the most annoying thing!

+jennifer rice the reason they get that rep is because people try driving in snow on summer tires or some shit sll season if you have proper winter tires and can drive halfway decent it isn't an issue at all. just gotta change speeds according to the conditions...just be smart you can put snow tires on stock wheels and run different rubber for summer if you want it to be a year round daily. I plan to get one of these when I pay off my 16 fiesta st but it won't be my daily year round that's what my st is for.

Yup. Cup holders are annoying. Seat motors are trash. One of the motors went out few years ago in my seat so now seat cushion does not raise up or down in the rear section.
I guess the main thing I don’t really like about 11-14 is how unsupportive seats are. There is literally 0 bolstering on sides and when cornering its a slide show. I have TMI seat covers with new seat foam and it’s pretty much same result. Recaros are the way to go, but impossible to find and when you do find the price will be absurd.
I think this is the best year Mustang. It sounds a bit better than the 13 and 14 and honestly some people might hate on these cars but try daily driving a 2002 2 valve GT and then come back to one of these and you'll see why these cars are still so amazing, so honestly I think you're just being overly picky because I happen to love everything about those Mustangs. They are not filled with technology and in my opinion they have the perfect mix of modern and classic. The 11 to 12 Mustang GT is my dream car and I cannot wait to own one.

I love my newly acquired 11gt standard. Have brembos, and 3.55s out back. Hate cup holder but usually carry 16 oz Dew bottles so I deal with it. Have beige cloth manual seats and they seem to keep me in place better than my previous toy. (67 2dr. post chevyll bench seat with floor mounted Hurst shifter😂
My only real issue is that after attending a Ford Takeover in Jackson,TN 1/8th mile, my stupid airbag light came on and has stayed.🤬 It only has 17K miles but way out of warranty 😢

The snow chains are a must you never know where you're going to wind up what job you're going to have can't always have multiple cars
For your brake paddle going to low when trying to BREAK it could be your pump that runs to that pedal maybe upgrade it might get better

Base model, non-GT Mustangs typically do not have power seats. The driver’s seat motor failed on my 1995 GT, so I replaced it with manual seat rails in place of the power assembly. On the newer Mustangs, do the base cars still have manual seats? I was happy to lose the failure-prone power apparatus on my 1995.
the 05-09 drivers seat is power passenger is manual, the 10’+ are all power

2011 was the last good year.. more balanced than my bmw at the road track. Premium kona blue with beige leather seats, sunroof, brembo brakes, nav.. FULLY loaded... I remember after I ordered it, I had to wait 3 months to get it when they first came out.... longest 3 months of my life! I think it was 40k out the door then? now it's like 50 or 60 for a mustang fully loaded. Do they have the sunroofs anymore? it makes the car complete.
I don’t think a mustang has been sold with a sunroof for some time. I think the glass roof ended with the s197 as well.

I hate the cup holder placement. The fog light, stock headlights and tail lights lmao I prefer the 13-14 head/tail lights. I swapped my with after market lights

I have the premium GT and my came with brembos and navigation I added 4:10 gears and Mbrp exhaust with cat delete with a chip and air aid intake that thing untouchable out here and sounds good I’m having wheel spin if I get on it to hard
First off old men be driven wit coffee in car so you're good if you're not old. Second you can get an automatic if you have issues with having coffee cup in there lmao.
4:17 Don't wanna be that guy, but couldn't this be the brake lines themselves? Or something else in the brake system? I have new braided stainless steel lines, drilled and slotted rotors with 4 piston calipers from Powerstop and they feel perfect.

Still like my 2011 GT, but yes, the seat switch on passenger side went intermittent, sometimes works, sometimes does not. WTH, it is hardly ever used and it stops working.
What do you mean seat switch? Like airbag light for passenger or electric seat adjustment? Cuz on my 2011 premium passenger seat is manual forward/back and no adjustments up/down.
@@NPDrives Electric seat switch for up/down and forward/back. It was offered as a comfort option for passenger seat, also heated.

Apparently I didn’t do my research to figure out that was an option. My tune got rid of the skip shift but I would have liked to get rid of it sooner haha

I don’t expect that but it sure would be nice. It actually can do pretty well on the highway if you stay out of the throttle but I can’t help myself
You can achieve about 24 if you do enough freeway driving and don't break the law.
I get 24 mpg on the highway in my '15 5.0
I average around 20 mpg with my '12.
marco zr I drive a 16 Camaro as with 455 and with the cylinder deactivation I can get up to 28-30 on the highway with cruise on so yeh I think that’s exactly what he wants

That's why I'm still driving my 2014 premium coupe and am looking for a low mileage one so I can get looks that don't make me look like an old lady because I'm an old man. seriously folks them new s550s are ok from the rear but look too much like every other car out there from the front,toyotas and fusions alike not to mention Lexus. BORING!!!!

Camaros have the same cup holder design. I guess they couldn’t think of a better way.

Great Car but there is little room for leg movement .and I'm a average sized man and I had a problem snapping my seat belt in .If there was more room for your legs .I definitely would of purchased a 2010 mustang yesterday ..

Dont give a rats ass about interior comforts and heated seats...etc..My car is set up for drag racing and i drive it daily. Its pure muscle car. I am all about performance. But my cars exterior is well maintained cause i still wanna look good in a fast car...
These 11-12 cars are practically bulletproof to 650wheel gen 1 coyote. Now if you want 800 wheel you need to forge your gen 1 shortblock and add gen 2 heads and cams, plus more than likely toss mt82 and add magnum t56 and Eaton trutrac in rear. Then you have bulletproof 800wheel street drag car that will last forever. Ford made these 11-11-12 cars tough as fcking nails man.

Eibach makes some nice springs that lowered mine almost 2 inches. Sure there's not alot of suspension in the rear because of it. But still worth it

Scott Zenewicz nah, this is my first. It seems like they are finally starting to improve on some of these things in the s550. Especially with the brakes and seats. Transmissions are still pretty garbage though.

Bro does your 11-12 5.0 burn oil. My 11 roush tvs 5.0 burns a quart every 400miles. But i drive like nascar daily. My shop said they all burn oil, and more on blower cars. Oil is sucked through pcv system big time he said. This car is best bang for buck.

I have never had to add any oil to any Ford motor. Something is wrong if you do. You need to find another shop if that's what they say because they are 1000% WRONG! Engines that are built right will NOT use enough oil to even notice in 5000 miles.
@@charleslum2438 Actually Fords acceptable oil usage is 1 quart every 1k miles. If you are running 15lbs plus boost you will use some oil too.
My cammed fbo gto was getting 12 mpg when I was driving like a granny so be happpy your not 12mpg so be happy I you can still drive fun and get better gas milage than that

This is why aftermarkets parts exist and are available for everyone's needs, some they just like stock models. You just got another Thumb Down
