It’s tricky to copy a recipe when the measurements are “some sugar” and “the rest milk”…. Is their an actual Measurement for this recipe?
The Portuguese make a delicious varient on this. Instead of sultanas, they add lots of orange zest to the custard. Then more cinnamon on top (shaken through a paper doily to make a pretty pattern) after its baked. Very fragrant!
Measurements would be handy!
