Really cool Marc! A single action set up just like you have was high on my list for many years, unfortunately I never got around to it. It would be sooo cool to hunt deer or hogs with a rig like that!! Cool Caliber too!
Looks like a B-Square mount. They can be OK. Best with light optics unless D&T added. Scopes will tend to excentuate any shakes. Beauty Marc CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Thanks, Jesse! I have the .357 and the .44 SBH and this feels just like Goldilocks in the middle. I have some bullets cast and can't wait to PC and load them to see how they do.
41 mag is a great round, I tried to find a nice old Redhawk but they where rare at the time. They do make them again now but don’t need another caliber. 😂
Thanks, UJ! I really should not have taken on another caliber, but this will be fun to cast and load for. Good gun for hunting, carrying, or just fun at the range.
You look and sound happy , always good when you get something you wanted and it meets or exceeds. I had a chance to get a smith model 57 with the presentation box for $600. I passed on it cause I wanted to go to a show early the following year, but that's when covid hit and everything shut down or got canceled. That Blackhawk you got looks to be a good shooter, 41's are a decent round
O, the curse of cross dominant eyes; I feel for ya man! And .41 mag is such a cool cartridge! Had the privilege of shooting my buddy’s Smith in .41 a few years ago and was impressed. Too bad it fell off as fast as it did…
I'm glad you got that 41 mag. This is the same gun my friend has although he put Pachmyer grips on his. I had to do the same with my Blackhawk 357 and that trigger guard just busts my knuckle too much with the hotter loads and the Pachmyer grip add a little cushion to help resolve that.
Thanks Cervus! I just can't stand the look of the rubber grips. The recoil on this is much more manageable than the .44 and less sharp than the hot .357's.
Very nice Marc, that Ruger looks like it handled the recoil just fine. I susoect the prior owner had the Pachmayrs on to absorb some of the recoil from hotter rounds.
Thanks, Halfmile! I was pleased with the recoil impulse in the loads I shot. Nice middle ground. I hope to see the better accuracy with more experience and my own loads. This was definitely a bucket list gun that I'm very excited about!
Marc congratulations 🎊 brother super gellus always want a 41mag or 44mag . I like odd stuff. Factory ammo might be hard to find so reloading is key. Keep eye out for brass.
Thanks, James! I have a good bag of brass and a line on another one. With what came with the gun I should end up with about 4 or 5 hundred pieces I hope.
Yeah, I've been wanting one for a while and finally got it. I think it might be 6.5 inch. I want to try it again soon, but without the scope. I've been shooting with irons for far too long and this just was odd. Thanks!
Thanks! Been pining for one for a few years and always looking. Found it in a local shop, passed on two others at a gun show last weekend, and went in to the shop on Wednesday determined to bring it home.
Good looking Revolver. And the more you get use to it the tighter your group will get. Thanks for the video 👍
.41 Magnum... Yep...im a fan!
I am absolutely in love with this revolver and caliber. Great to reload and I'm shooting it well. Thanks!

Thanks, CW!
Welcome to the Blackhawk family. I’ve never shot a 41 magnum.
Thanks, Jesse! I have the .357 and the .44 SBH and this feels just like Goldilocks in the middle. I have some bullets cast and can't wait to PC and load them to see how they do.
Now that's the smile of a happy man. Nothing like getting a gun that's been on your list for a while. Congratulations looks like it shoots awesome.
You bet! Thanks, Rob!

Thanks, Jeff!
Woohooooo❤❤❤❤❤❤
😁😁😁
Very nice find Marc. I'll tell ya one thing, those wood grips look nice, but the rubber grips help take the sting out of the recoil
Thanks! Recoil was really not bad on this guy. Way easier to take than the .44 😂
Nice I had one back in the early 90's wish I still had it
Thanks!

Thanks JG! I'm very pleased with it. This is one I'll keep and pass to my son for sure. I'm looking forward to casting and reloading for it.
Nice Shooting Marc
Thanks, Mike!

Very nice shooter. ☺
Thanks! I love it!
Nice Ruger, Marc. Enjoy it. I am not a fan of a scope on a handgun, but that is just me.
Thank you, Edward! Not sure how I feel about it. I'm going to pull it off and try the iron sights. What I'm used to...

Nice revolver
Thanks! I hope your hunting season is going well!
@@marcthomas2482 , haven't filled any tags, been a bit warm.
Oh man. It’s in 41 mag. That’s one I have wanted but haven’t got yet. Pretty sweet revolver for sure. What length barrel? 6”?

Very nice. How did you come across that gem?
