- This band, with Jack White and Brian Muldoon (of The Muldoons),made only one single, with three songs. Title of the single was; Makers Of High Grade Suites.
Released 2000. This is the only song Jack White wrote for this single.
Every single thing Jack White touches is amazing!
Even at this young age you can hear his style
before jack white was jack white
The white stripes already had an album out
i wish they did more than 3 songs i love them
Any fan of Jack White can tell he is playing the guitar.
I'd love to watch Jack aplolster a piece of furniture in a video now that would be cool as hell I do love your music but he'll why stop there So Smart love what u do enjoy jw❤ 1:50
Okay...
1. Jack has been in multiple bands before at once, and has been associated with many acts. As a teen he was in the Fuck Ups, he also performed with the Hentchmen and The Go, was with Goober and The Peas, The White Stripes THEN The Upholsterers while STILL IN The White Stripes. Then came The Raconteurs and now The Dead Weather.
amazing! like if you found out about this song through the film 'it might get loud' :)
I like everything that Jack does. He's amazing!!!!
The drums are awesome..
while you are correct that this isn't the "beginning" it was a very early example of Jack's song writing. Goober and the Peas was technically his "beginning" but he was just the drummer and had no creative input. while I agree that "The White Stripes" released in 1999 is the most pure example of Jack's early song writing and performance art, this helps to illustrate the versatility Jack display from early on.
I wish Jack was my Best friend
doesn't everyone wish that
This song shows Jack White's style for the rest of his career
yah but its prity much the same sound as the white stripes onless the other guy helps rite the songs. i donno your proably rite
@iluvjackwhitemost jack was playing with brian for a while before they released this single, so yes even though the white stripes first album was released a year before this was, jack was playing with muldoon before he and meg made the white stripes
fuck 2 star tabernacle, the upholsterers had their shit together
oh sorry, i forgot, gettin mixed up. he drummed in goober and the peas once. all those detroit bands are confusing
thanks i wanted to know but why did jack start this band iff he had the white stripes???
kinda reminds of the kills
ah sorry i got them confused for goober and the peas which is the band jack drummed in
If they would've continued, the upholsterers would've been a success
i like to see where it all began
love the disc grinding on metal at 43
It's interesting to hear Jack play with a more flashy filly drummer, they should get back together again and record.
This isn't the full song, but download the three song EP if you really wanna hear the whole thing. Also, why is this song so fucking incredible! I wish he would play it these days, it's such a goddamn excellent song.
some parts sounds like nirvana aneurysm a bit
Now there are three dislikes and your comment is three years old.
Why is this the cut off version? That sucks. The original version is 2:45 long.
1 minute 49 seconds....just a pure distilled killer song. no filler or frilly bits....just a legit song hitting you upside the head. love it!
Too fucking short
f you guys are looking for other rare Jack White stuff, check out a band called The Hentchmen -album Hentchforth Five, Jack mostly playing bass, really cool 50s punk sound
@CitrusBurstCreations without 2 star a few white stripes songs would havenever been made or the white stripes for that matter not to mention blanche is a good showgazer band
This record isn't as early as some of you guys think. It came out in 2000, the same year as DeStijl. The White Stripes formed in 1997. The confusing part is that Jack and Muldoon were in an earlier band called Two Part Resin. This Upholsterers record came out after The White Stripes had become a popular local/regional band with some buzz around them (but hadn't hit the national/international big time yet).
So at this point Jack had already completed his apprenticeship with Muldoon, then. This is just them making music as friends
This sounds so much like early White Stripes. The drums are a bit more intense though. It's not too hard to see the continuity in Jack's musical style from this to the Dead Weather, though.
God he was kick ass even then, he should get back together with Brian and put out a new record, not that he doesn't have enough bands already... just saying
this is from The Unholsterers album... before the white stripes even started. H eformed it with his friend when they worked togeather as upholsterers... xD
Silver like the moom,
Silver like a spoon
he also drummed in the go for a short while
fine
realy wicked man his druming gos perfict with jacks guitar why did they only make 3 songs?
No, that's not what he meant. If you hit a guitar string hard enough, it will go slightly sharp and/or flat, which you can hear here. So fucking intense XD!
@Meta1Head91
Oh, Okay, Yeah, I understand what your saying, and Yeah, You see It might get loud?
hes a guitar god, love jack!
jack knew what would sell better !
Love the Jack.
BRIAN RULES!
I prefer Meg White's incapably simple drum beats instead.
the song is incomplete!!! where's the final fuckin amazing part?
Then why is kirk hamment playing guitar for this band.
Mhm mhm. Nobody! I repeat does it like Jack White. Genius.
i forgot to thank you for tell me about that now i love the hentchmen
Carreers take the wildest turns...
this is cut off, the real version goes to 2:50
why can't i be best friends with Jack White?
Sounds kinda like Metallica to me.
Jack is the drummer of this band.
jack white is badass
THIS ROCKS! I WANT THIS Mp3 MAN!!

We it all began . .
Sounds a little like NEU!

I can't believe it's not butter
dayum
@broninion No
I cant believe I'm just now hearing this.
same
JACK needs to abandon all this alternative rock bullshit and just embrace his punk rock interests.
this is like white stipes with better drums
The first White Stripes album was released in 1999 this was released in 2000. not the beginning man
