I would like to just tap it and toggle between layers....always great to get these updates. they're like gold dust but worthwhile.

We'd love to add this functionality in the future for Logic and will keep trying to find a way to make this happen. Can't give any promises right now but fingers crossed. The reason we were able to implement this for the other DAWs was that a system already exists to achieve track colours via VST3 extensions.

Hi, and thanks for this explanatory video. (I've been using SSL consoles since the first one arrived at Power Station.) One question: I noticed that the solo and cut buttons on my UF8 have changed color with this update. I liked them the old way! Can anything be done about this?

So the UF1 can't control sends in the DAW Plugin Layer? Anyone? Bueller?
Please SSL add to all of the ,,fader" channels of the BIG SIX hardware insert points, because these could be used as direct outs while tracking with another audio interface. This is the main reason why I still did not buy one.
Ive noticed in Studio One the colour white doesnt reflect in SSL 360, the odd thing is...if my S1 template is already whit, it shows in SSL, but if I change a channel to white it doesnt work....I tend to have all my Bus / folder tracks in S1 in white, is this a bug in SSL ?...I notice I down see the Zoom function either, does this only appear when using the SSL hardware ?
If they add support for reason 12 that would be wonderful. I could bypass reason 12 "ssl"
Is there any way of using track config in Cubase when in 360 mixer layer??
why you can not see the track colors in the regular layer ? I mean whitout having the pluggin mixer enabled ? that would be a great idea since I do not use the pluggin mixer too often . Anybody knows about this ?
Agree
Because there's no mechanism to do this via MCU unfortunately. But the Plug-in Mixer's capabilities is growing, so definitely worth checking out.
Any chance of supporting FL Studio in the future?
I noticed change in my ASIO Drivers for my SSL 12. Is there a changelog for the update?
I've just installed the update and seems to be having issued with my SSL12. As I'm unable to make any buttons on SSL 360 work after starting Logic. I have to restart my Macbook Pro M1 Everytime.
Awesome! Does it still work in mojave?
How do you get vst3 daws to work? I have pro tools and I want to use ssl 360 sends but I don’t see them in ssl 360 mixer channel under out I only see solo clear. can you please help me
is there a template for Digital performer 11 please?
But only with UF8, plugin mixer doesn't work?
So does it autobank in cubase or not? I cant tell by your language that it does.
No it doesn't
🔥
Plug in and DAW buttons are not visible in SSL 360 so am unable to control DAW faders within Live - Everything's updated, rebooted. Any ideas?
Hello, I’d like to know if when I select a track in the Daw, UF8 auto bank on the selected track? (Only Luna does it before.) do the other daws do it? Thanks a lot. It’s for me the only way to go to UF8
Yes - this is true for LUNA, REAPER and Logic (MCU Layer). It is also true for other DAWs via the Plug-in Mixer Layer.
HI, how can I set my uf8 meters color to red or blue, thnxxx
Can you use the plugin mixer without hardware?
Yes.
I really like the track colour feature... I am confused as to whether this is available to Logic UF8 users... have I missed something? Is this only available if you are using SSL 4KB and/or Channel 2?
I fear to say that this is just a feature while using the plugging mixer with the ssl 360 pluggi. Would be nice if they just add this feature in the regular DAW layers , not only while having the pluggins enabled
@@christophpetersart3803 Thank you for the reply! I wonder why that is. IMO, it would be cheeky/unfair to hold this feature back from non-plug-in users if the ability to implement it for everyone is there.
Unfortunately not available for Logic users at this moment in time. Technically, it is not possible to implement colours via MCU (as well as a few other things), so for this reason we took the approach of using VST3 extensions. Hopefully in the future we can find an equivalent solution with Logic.
That would be a game changer for me in Ableton paired with channel select, as I get lost in uf8 from time to time and this would seriously help
"Improved CHANNEL scrolling behaviour for MCU DAWs" - Does this function as shown for Cubase/Nuendo?
Yes - this is for all MCU DAWs
HUGE MISS not including Logic Pro in these updates. Call me disappointed. Enough so that I’m finally considering selling my UF8 and UC1.
13:59 atleast they have included follow track
Sorry to hear that Andrew. We're always looking to bring improvements to as many DAWs as possible. This particular update did bring follow selected track to UF1 Logic users, as well as soft key colours, MIDI CC, control surface brightness and other Plug-in Mixer improvements for your UF8 and UC1.
@@andyjackson88follow focus for UF1 only? Why not UF8 as well or am I misunderstanding. Hope this isn’t just to sell the UF1. I can see no reason for it only to have this feature.
@@masterpref84looks like Only for UF1. That makes zero sense to me.
It’s for both UF1 and UF8. Now go update, and stop posting factually wrong information. Do your homework before criticizing.
ssl please just make the ssl daw! why not?
Anyone tried these units with harrison mixbus? I am thinking on purchasing a uf1. I'm just wondering what kinda control I will have?
Lots of control with the new dedicated Mixbus profile - check out the UF1 user guide for more details
Thank you! Just set everything up tonight, I gotta say, wow! Lots to learn but it sure is nice, really look forward to figuring this out... working great though so far👍
