- Introducing my NEW small travel tripod for travel - the Manfrotto Element Traveller. It's super compact and lightweight, yet has a decently high max payload to support mirrorless cameras with telephoto lenses, and smaller cameras.

Fantastic review, pro's, con's and a demo. no added filler! Appreciate it!
I look forward to both the backpack review and your other tripods’ review.
I love your thorough review of Manfrotto Element Traveller Tripod! I was looking into Manfrotto Element and Befree tripods, and your review helped me to understand the features of Element. Thank you so much!
which one would you suggest for international travel for a hobbyist/enthusiast photographer
I replaced the Manfrotto clamp on my carbon fiber version with a Sunwayfoto DLC-50 lever release which also has an adjustment screw. It makes putting on and removing the camera just a bit easier.
It is a great combination.
Thanks for clarifying your preference on carbon vs aluminum!
Thanks a lot for this video!! So useful 🙏
Thanks for the video, will go with that one :)
Metric units as overlays would have been very helpful though :P
Great vid thanks!
Thanks !!! Great video
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it.
Nice review, it looks like a good compact tripod. I still use my Manfrotto travel tripod I purchased over ten years ago, it still works well. But I have thinking about getting the Peak Design Travel Tripod, just because it's very compart. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you i have the same tripod
Excellent review. I received this tripod for free today from some random guy at a shooting range. He said he didn’t need it anymore for his spotting scope. Go figure. I had no idea about the tripod and your review enlightened me. Thanks!
Wow, lucky! Hope you enjoy it.
@@Gemini_Connect It was missing the Manfrotto 200PL for mounting cameras/etc, but I found a replacement on Amazon. It is a solid tripod and I will use of for a variety of cameras or spotting scopes.
Nice review. Will this hold D5?
Great video looking to purchase my first tripod this looks perfect for what I’m looking for and more easier to stomach then spending over $300 for the peak design aluminum
Yes, I'll be doing a video about the Peak Design tripod soon. Bottom line is it's great, but Manfrotto offers just as high quality products at a much better price.
If bought a velbon ut series tripod, because they get very short and still goes high. Travel height of about 30cm and max height is 155cm (ball head incl). That also means low weight limit (less than 9lb)
FLM, has nice travel tripods too
Is there a video head that you (or anyone in comments) can recommend for this tripod?
I have 2 manfrotto tripods, this one and another that is basically the same design with a few small differences.
I want to start filming the surfers on the big winter swells, hence why I need to either get a fluid head for one of these, or get an additional tripod for video as I need the nice smooth panning option.
Some video tripods are literally thousands, but if there’s a half decent head I could get, that would be ideal.
Can it hold it for long exposure of say 13 seconds ? I have a similar one but not sturdy enough. Thanks
The tech keeps getting better.
It does! Especially camera tech, I feel like it's moving at such a fast pace. Hard to keep up.
@@Gemini_Connect good times. Lol. 💯💯💯
Have you tried Peak Design travel tripod? I just bought the CF version and it is seriously the best tripod I’ve ever owned. Just make sure you buy the universal adapter and put a different ballhead on. I chose an Acratech so it looks great, and works amazing.
I have the Peak Design tripod, but have been a little underwhelmed by it, because I also got another tripod around the same time that I've been preferring to use instead. But the PD tripod is great! More to come on all of that soon...
Agreed. The PD is much smaller and weighs very little. It is a dream to pack and carry.

Hola amigo, ahora hay subtítulos para el video. Tarda un poco en aparecer. ¡Perdón por el retraso!
How does this compare to a Manfrotto Compact Action or COmpact Advanced Tripod?
I bought one three years ago and it never left my bag.
Check for Rollei Compact Traveller tripod, it's the same model and probably cheaper
Great information, always follow you, please advice me what is the best gimbal that has battery for my gopro. Thanks
Inkee Falcon Plus, or the Zhiyun Crane M2S if you want to use cameras other than GoPro on the gimbal.
@@Gemini_Connect Thank you so so so much. God bless you and your activities , God protect you in every journey you make.
Nice review! I'm still contemplating between this and the Benro Slim Travel Kit which folds to a short 33cm in length. There isn't much review on it though, wondering if you can help recommend me one over the other? My criteria is small, light and as compact as possible. Thank you very much, subscribed!
Nevermind, i just realized its only 32cm folded, getting the manfrotto one. Cheers!
Update to anyone interested: i ended up getting the sirui traveler 5cx as it was on sale (AU$180). Very lightweight and as this video mentioned, the carbon fiber one might be too lightweight even. When i use the tripod it gets a bit wobbly unless i hang a counter balance at the bottom. Overall im very happy with the purchase.

Good One Mam..I like it..I am a huge plan of telephoto lens..I am planing to buy a camera and a telephoto lens..I think i will buy soon
I love telephoto lenses too! Definitely takes some time to save for them 💰
@@Gemini_Connect ya🙂✌️
@2.59 mins I had a marvellous idea; how about having an Arca Swiss ball head attached to the top of an actual water bottle........brilliant or what? (Lima Oscar Lima).

How does this compare to the peak design carbon fiber travel tripod? I've been using it and find the compact size of the peak design very good.
it dosnt compare. peak design is better in all aspects.
I have the Peak Design tripod. I like it alright, but there are some downsides. Comparison video coming soon!
I think the cost differential between aluminum and CF travel tripods doesn't justify spending significantly more to save just a few ounces. It's a different cost/benefit ratio for full-sized tripods.
I totally agree. I've only splurged on carbon fiber once, and it honestly wasn't really worth it IMO.
Nice tripod but I'm 5'11 so need something taller. Anyone with a recommendation?

Peak Design travel tripod is the most compact tripod on the market, diameter is as small as a soda can. Yours is mot elike a big soda bottle or more. But a con is it does not have a ball head. So if you get that you have the perfect tripod.
I have the aluminium version.
I have the Peak Design tripod. This one is lighter and a lot cheaper. Will talk more about PD soon!
@@Gemini_Connect ok, nice. I got mine on a sale, got a good deal on it. But not tried others. I wanted a compact tripod to have in my backpack when riding my mountain bike. I have inside, but it also be in side pocket like you shown. But I try to not have the wight too Muc weight on one side. The carbon version is just few grams lighter, but I guess the Manfrotto element might be popular choice too due to the weight.
@@Gemini_Connect Peak Design alloy 1.56kg, carbon 1.29 KG.
Element Traveller Tripod Big aluminium 1.6kg, carbon 1.4 kg.
Manfrotto Traveler Small carbon 1.05 kg. Small aluminium 1.49kg.
@@mtbboy1993 Manfrotto Small alu is 1.15kg not 1.49kg
❤❤
i dunno, its so small
"It is very small even when it is fully extended " where did I hear that frase? ...ah...I remembered, my wife keeps saying it 😢
You are begging for pain running a large telephoto on that overly extended too small aluminum tripod. Really …stop thinking that smaller and more compact is better..it’s not…that’s your camera support! Ball heads are only great if you don’t care about making fine adjustments on each axis…best advice suck it up carry some extra weight, the one on the right side of the table was the right size for that telephoto, using those too small low capacity tripods at full extension will get you broken glass and a camera repair.. it’s not worth it.
