Just ordered the 4 section version, currently £37 so a bit more expensive but a bit lighter. Much prefer ball heads though they do add to the cost. Also like that you can angle legs independently.

Great review! I'd like to swap out the head with a Neewer fluid one, can the ball head be removed and replaced with different one?

Hi, does the top bit move for pano shots?

Yes, you can loosen the base screw on the ball head and swivel for pano shots and it has markings on it so you can work out the positions correctly. 👍🏻

will it handle 600 mm lens

Maybe, depends which 600mm. It will support up to 8kg - so check your camera weight and lens weight. You will probably need to support on the lens connector though rather than the camera.

The prices fluctuate a lot for these nat geo tripods. I got the carbon fibre version for £50.
