When the chipped area dried I put super glue in, after it dried I cut the excess off with a razor blade. I did this after snowmageddon six years ago,,, the chipped area has not grown into a larger crack....
Coffee filters clean car or home windows without streaking or leaving lint. One might need a few in your hand at once, but they're cheat. They can be bought in a dollar store.
And For Windshield Wipers You can get an Old Sock and turn it inside out to where it's rougher and then spray WD-40 liberally on it and then clean your blades in a simple up and down fashion & you'll see Alot of Black at 1st and that's what you want to see. This is only for blades that are not split, cracked or otherwise damaged. This has always brought mine back to a like new condition
DO NOT USE COOKING OIL ON PAINTED SURFACES !!!!!!! I have tried this hack years a go. It removed the bugs, but also removed some of the paint on the hood of our minivan.
I bought a 1998 Isuzu rodeo in 2001 with 46,000 miles on it. Here in 2021, I still have that rodeo. Granted it's only got 161,000 mi on it, but all I ever had to do was change the oil, the serpentine belt, and now after 20 years, I do have to replace the rack and pinion assembly and the radiator. Those two latter expenses though, beat the hell out of a car payment especially these days!
I used rubbing compound on my Headlights on my sable. What a BIG difference and it worked awesome!! Put some on a cloth and rub in circles, wipe off! Takes a few minutes. They were pretty bad too!
Alcohol will eventually cause your wiper blades to crack and fall apart! If you apply a small amount of rainex to a microfiber cloth then apply to the blades it will do the same thing without them falling apart sooner! My husband, a mechanic for over 30 years, does this often to ALL of the cars we have ever owned!
When it comes to cleaning my windshield wipers, I do that whenever I wash the windows at the gas station. Washing down the windows, I gently lift up on each wiper, sponging them down GENTLY, then set them back down on the window. Cleaner wipers, clean glass.
Part 2 - The music is fine for the first 3 minutes but then gets a little louder. At 8:20 the music becomes too loud and the narrator's vocal volume goes down a little. At 12:50 the music returns to a low volume and the narrator's voice is louder again and stays that way for the rest of the presentation to 21:13. Interesting!
Drove semis for a living. Windshields got dirty, got coke shook up squirted on windshield. Turned on wipers, clean, bugs etc. 85 year old road runner. 🐻
Truck driver? 85 years old? 😂😂 You might have your CDL, but 85 years old you are not. After you shake up the Coca-Cola, how do you get it on your window without getting it everywhere else? It's not necessary but why not just purchase tar and bug remover from the truck stop for $5, and squirt it on your window? You do know that, truck stops have these things called squeegees, which are placed in 5gal buckets of window cleaning solution at every fuel pump station? That's done in order for truck drivers to quickly scrub their windows while waiting for their tanks to fill, or whenever they want to just clean their windows. Did you know water is abrasive? Just look at how much rock it carved out from the grand canyon...
When traveling thru an area with a lot of bugs some people take a damp dish sponge to spread dish soap on the front of their vehicle, when they arrive at their destination simply take a hose spray off the bugs and soap.
Great info and useful tricks. However, the music is so loud and the tapping...makes it VERY hard to hear what's being said. Would be much better minus the techno music. Thx
Do not spray wd40 on glass. WD40 is a petroleum based product spraying this on say your windshield will cause fogging on the glass or a thick grease texture that turns white and blocks your vision while driving. Do not apply nail polish to the gass. Think about it before you paint it. your windshield is transparent even with a crack in it. Paint it with nail polish and you lose your transparency. Do not use vaseline on your leather. Vaseline is a petroleum based product. unless you like grease stains on your clothing its not a smart thing to use on your leather seats. instead use saddle soap to clean and protect your leather. Do not use hair conditioner to make your car shine after washing. Lanolin is not the ingredient responsible for making your car shine. The carnuba in the wax is what is responsible for making the car shine and a lot of elbow grease... hahaha! Do not use rubbing alcohol on wipers. Windshield wipers are made from rubber or silicon rubbing alcohol dries out rubber and silicon and makes it brittle over time. Do not use olive oil on the interior olive oil will darken your leather and like vaseline stain your clothing as well. Saddle soap which is mad for your leather will clean and condition your leather and not stain your clothing.
Vaseline is indeed a petroleum product and might stain, or darken, some seat coverings. But if you're going to detail the interior of the car, you're probably going to do the entire surface(s). So if you do it correctly, the staining will be even all over and only serve to make the leather (or whatever) look new, or re-newed, at least. And, because it's waterproof, it might even last longer to boot. Again you are correct about alcohol drying out rubber (though I'm not sure it has that affect on silicone). It can be used safely however. The narrator should have said to wipe the wipers with clear water afterwards to remove any alcohol residue. Although he might have realized that, unless you live in a place like Arizona where it rarely rains, the next rainfall or shower will easily wash any residual alcohol away. That's not even taking into account the use of the wipers when it's raining. That quick sloshing movement will wash it away as well. Lastly, the use of hair conditioner is probably suggested as a cheap and easy alternative to the name brand products. It's also--again something he should've mentioned--most likely a somewhat temporary fix. At the very least, it probably won't last as long as the 'real' You certainly made some valid points. I hope people get the message you sent rather than just disregarding the whole thing. Of the many ideas he put forth, a lot of them work very well and for a fraction of the cost of generally used items. Thanks for your input. Have a good one!

I'm sure we all know the sauce will stain pretty much everything if not cleaned up right away. Well I grabbed a small handful of baby wipes and I dabbled, blotches, rubbed rinse and repeat.

Well now that was a interesting and informative video some very good tips. Trying to find newspaper to clean your windshield with is difficult today nobody takes a newspaper including myself.
Here is a little trick that professional window washer uses. Occasionally a razor blade is needed to clean something off. To help prevent scratching the surface such glass, counter tops, etc. This will help... spray the item with water, or any liquid first. It acts like a lubricant and it takes the "scratch out". Also when you wash your windows on you car, tap the end of the blade first to knock the water off the blade before you make your next pull of the squeeze. It helps on the final wipe when you are done cleaning windows. Here is a random tip for all those pot scrubbers out there... try using a table spoon. It helps take the burnt food off a lot easier. Just don't get too carried away and scratch up the bottom of the pot. Food has a place to stick to next time. Why try harder? A scratch will make the job harder, every time you clean the same pot. Damn that's loud
You lasted longer than I did. I killed it at 9:15.

Thanks for an informative video! I drive a Hoopty, but I try to take care of it! Thanks for the tips!!!
I use rubbing A. to wash my windows and mirrors No Streaks !
Rubbing Alcohol to clean windows? I’m going to have to try that.
Instructions not clear. Rubbed my wife's A and now she's pregnant.
Use coffee filters.
@@whidoineedthis Why are my comments to you right to left? neat trick. I used to have to wash huge store windows and was told to use newspaper. They said it's the best material for cleaning glass even though it has news print, which don't come off somehow.
@@DivergentDroid i clean houses and agree newspaper for glass and mirrors work great. Another thing ANY CLOTH THAT'S BEEN WASHED WITH ANY TYPE FABRIC SOFTENER.... is BAD! ONLY makes you work twice as hard getting streaks out.
WD40 works like magic for both bug and tar removal...the shine is a bonus. You can spray on and wipe off before the trip.
Thanks for watching!
I was thinking spray or wipe on that Tar Remover
Oil so bug as don't stick..or tar.
I agree with everyone else! Music is way too loud!
Another great way to clean a window is use 0000 steel wool cleans & will not scratch at all. Works on chrome to.
Damn that music, I'm O U T !!!!!

And no one should hang there garbage from your gear selector that's terrible for your car. And unsafe
Since the music drawn-out the voice, I'm bailing at 11:00
Yeah me too! Wish youtubers who decide music overlay is a good idea, should do a playback before launching the finished product. 🤔 ijs
I'm absolutely in love with a 2015 Subaru WRX
Why?
Monitor your background music! It is overpowering at points in your videos!
Awesome,..I would like to remember them all. But I'll screen shot so I can look up again....
