    Hi loves!
    Wanted to share my quick go-to meals and snacks throughout the day. With tight schedules and not the greatest cooking skills I always opt for meals that will energize me and fill me up.
    Im not big on restrictions or any crazy diets- once you educate yourself and learn what your body needs, food will become more of a fun experiment rather than a confusing world.
    Listen to your body, Be mindful when eating and don't forget to MOVE!

    Lunch:
    Sweet potato boats:
    Instructions
    -Preheat the oven to 400F.
    -Cut the sweet potatoes in half, lengthwise. Place the potatoes on a baking sheet.
    -Drizzle the potatoes with the oil. Sprinkle each potato with just a pinch of salt.
    -Flip the potatoes over, flesh-side down on the baking sheet. Some oil will spill over on the sheet pan--that's normal and okay.
    -Bake the sweet potatoes, uncovered, for 30-35 minutes, until the skins begin to look soft. Remove the potatoes from the oven.
    -The baked sweet potatoes should be slightly brown and caramelized on the top of the flesh and soft throughout the potato.
    Tuna salad:
    Green onion, Tuna, sea salt, pepper
    Veganise (vegan mayo)
    Berry Smoothie (snack):
    1/2 cup Activia plain yogurt
    1/2 cup almond/coconut milk
    1/2 cup frozen papaya
    1/2 cup frozen bluberries
    1 unsweetened Acai pack
    Dinner:
    Crispy bean and cheese burrito:
    INGREDIENTS
    Brown rice, salsa
    1 avocado, chopped into 1/2 inch pieces
    1 Tablespoon lime/ lemon juice
    Soft whole wheat tortillas
    Shredded Mexican Blend cheese
    1 (15.5 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
    INSTRUCTIONS
    Cook brown rice according to package directions.
    Drain and place in a medium sized bowl. Add the salsa and mix well, set aside.
    Put the chopped avocado in a bowl and add the fresh lime juice and toss well. Set aside.
    Place the tortillas on a plate. Sprinkle shredded cheese in the center of each tortilla .
    Top the cheese with black beans.
    Then place rice mixture over the beans. Then divide the avocado over the tortillas. Fold up opposite sides and then the bottom and roll up to enclose the filling.
    Heat a large non stick skillet over medium-high heat* OR use a panini press.
    Serve with a side of salad/ veggies
    *if using a skillet spray a little cooking oil on the skillet prior to placing the tortillas!
    Dessert:
    Coconut mango popsicles:
    1 cup coconut milk (I used the canned one not the bottles one- better consistency)
    2 Tablespoons maple syrup (optional)
    3 cups mango chunks (I used frozen)
    INSTRUCTIONS:
    Puree the coconut milk, maple syrup and mango in a blender until smooth. Increase speed to highest and whip the mixture for about 1 minute.
    Pour the mixture into freezer pops, freeze for about 6 hours or until solid!

    sorry, but Activia doesn't work (especially for damaged gut)....there are much more better things (like fermented sauerkraut) for the gut :-)

      It is similar. I prefer sauerkraut, because it is much more cheaper here in Germany and has the same effekt as kimchi :-) You can do it also by yourself and it is really good for the gut :-)

    There are several studies that say that Activia is not better than any other conventional yoghurt. It might taste nice and be healthyish as yoghurts anyway are quite good for you (I prefer dairy free ones as they aren´t inflamatory).

      duisan and they have prebiotics (atleast used to ..also sugar) that aren't good if you hsve ibs for instance

      Yup! Totally agree. I’ve read studies on yogurt since it has these big claims (most of them had probiotics but disappeared during the processing process), but i prefer to get my probiotics from fermented foods or coconut yogurt because they don’t have that high sugar content and are more beneficial to my body since I’m lactose intolerant and can’t have a ton of dairy.

      Morgan L what are some good coconut yogurts and are they also a source of protein? I put yogurt in my smoothies for creaminess, good bacteria and protein. Any suggestions? I am veggie but trying to eat more vegan

      Meredith Murphy I like Silk cultured coconut yogurt. There’s an unsweetened version that’s perfect for creaminess in smoothies. It doesn’t have much protein in it at all (only 1g/serving) but does have healthy bacteria. I tend to add nut butters or seeds (chia, flax, etc) to get in protein and often, healthy fats. I hope this helps.

    The sweet potato idea is so good. I don’t eat meat, but using chickpea salad will work just as well! I love seeing what you eat. Super healthy and simple.

    Hey Valeria! I'm a professional Nutritionist (studied 5 years plus 2 years masters degree), just to let you know that having collagen as a supplement is not going to help with your collagen production nor will it go to your joints, it doesn't work like that so I'd recommend not wasting your money on that supplement. Just as a comparison, if you eat brains it doesn't mean you'll be smarter, the body just doesn't work like that :) And as several people have mentioned already, Activia is no better than other yoghurts and because of the amount of sugar is has, it's simply not worth it. There are many other way better options for probiotics :D I do like your video btw, I'm a regular on your channel :D Just thought I'd voice what I know about those subjects :)

      I so agree! My doctor told me that with my IBS, the abundance of processed sugars in yogurt like Activia would actually bloat me even more

      I use collagen in powder form and because i was overweight i noticed very fast an improvement in joint pains especially the entire lower foot area that had to carry so much weight...also a good example of how collagen works is to see how long term vegans look compared to omnivours that have the same weight and height....the proof is in the pudding 😂

    Though you do adopt some holistic practices, Activia is not a holistic nor healthy yogurt to consume. Keep doing your research! There are other healthier probiotic yogurts to choose from! Coconut yogurt is a lot better.

    Hi Valeria,
    Sorry to say that but Activia tastes nothing like real yogurt.i have been making real homemade bulgarian yogurt for years and the difference is huge plus i'm 100% sure there are more probiotics in homemade yogurt than any of these artificial yogurts will ever contain

    Valeria, I really enjoy this video but in regards to Activia yogurt: they use modified starch in their products and some other not so good ingredients. There are a lot of natural yogurts that are much better for the body.

    Love you Valeria but was surprised to see this video. Even though I heard that Activia is good for you because of the good bacteria, when I looked at the label they were full of added sugar so I never buy them. I know you try to eat natural and healthy foods... Do you recommend just the plain flavour?

    Activia is nowhere near to healthy, it’s UNhealthy.
    This video “challenge” just make people buy this bullshit tons, nothing else.

    Eating yoghurts especially in the winter is not a good idea.
    If You like to enrich your body with probiotics try fermented products.
    For example: kimchi or sauerkraut.

    Everyone is ragging on you for eating flavored yogurt and tuna, but you still eat healthier than 99% of people do. Yogurt is full of probiotics so long as it's not been heated or frozen (so not an excuse to eat B&J cherry garcia froyo?? Awww rats :p )
    And tinned tuna a few times weekly is not too much mercury for a healthy person who's not pregnant. Also vegan /=/ healthy, it's far harder to thrive on a vegan diet for many, not saying it's impossible, but even ensuring adequate amino acids can be hard.... plus you could eat very unhealthy as a vegan, ever had vegan silk cake? It's strangely good but also no spa food (neither are Oreos which are technically animal product free...)
    I applaud people who are willing to make that sacrifice, but being vegan won't magically make you healthy and slim as many people seem to think-- if it worked for you, it worked for you, everyone's different.
    I bet you eat and are healthier than a lot of the people who are overly critical of you. I like that you aren't neurotic over your diet either-- being scared of eating "bad" food is called orthorexia, and I think a few people need to look it up. You clearly don't suffer from it, you don't allow a few grams of sugar scare you (and admittedly sugar isn't a health food, but all carbohydrates break down into sugars anyway...). Some models have serious eating disorders, and it's nice to see a model who is living as example of a balanced life without food neurosis but still very healthy and slender. More power to you ✊✌

    I like Valeria, but I would question some of her ideas. I'm also a holistic nutritionist and I doubt that there is much benefit to consuming Activia in terms of probiotics. Isn't it pasteurised? Heat destroys probiotics. It's better to eat raw sauerkraut. Also, protein (tuna) and starches (potatoes) do not mix well together as they digest at different rates. Google food combining. Nonetheless, I think her choices are very good overall - better than 80% of the population.
    I also think that it might not be the best to consume so many meals a day (e.g. each time you eat the blood sugar goes up). Food is not the only fuel either. Everyone who has ever fasted for more than three days would know that. Oxygen and resting are important, too. Give your digestive system a break. In order to stay youthful you won't get around incorporating some form of fasting plus plenty of raw foods. It doesn't have to be 5 days of fasting in a row, but intermittent fasting. It's a fantastic way of reducing the burden of digestion (takes up a lot of energy) and it works. Please look up Tonya Zavasta. She's living proof that raw foods and fasting work.     Valeria I have a question. I really hope you respond. You said you take collagen becasue you have weak knees? I have heard you say a couple times in your videos that collagen can help your joints. I'm asking becasue I personally suffer from knee pain and joint pain. I am 25 and I've been dealing with this for years... How do your knees and joints feel now? I would like to know your testimony. Thank you ♡

    Not to sound like an ass, but I have 2 questions.
    1) If gut health is so important to you, why do you eat gluten, dairy and beans? Which are all inflammatory.
    2) Aren't probiotics a live bacteria? And wouldn't they get destroyed in your stomach acid, completely getting rid of the benefits of them? I do really love your attitude and your videos regardless of my questions.

    You have so many meals a day but smaller.. I have breakfast at 10.00 in the morning, then later at 15.00-16.00 I have dinner. I also eat a little bit of fruit at 18.00 and that’s all :O my meals are way bigger than yours though. This is how my diet has been since forever and it helps me maintain my weight.

    Hi @valerialipversky can you please make a video about choosing the right vitamins to take daily. Also is it best to take them early morning or after a meal. Just a video explaining what vitamins are best for young women. It would be really helpful!

    I'm doing no added sugar, no oil, plant based and no animal by -products except chicken stock (broth). I'm having a hard time keeping my salts down, but it takes a minute to adjust to how bland some food seems to taste now.

    Taking colagen does absolutely nothing for you :/ it's what my doctor said. You need to produce colagen in the specific areas you want to improve. Taking colagen is the same as a placebo.

    Do you follow a certain dietary reference for your nutrition and supplements? Do you take more than RDA? You follow any meal plans or foods that are staple in your diet( like the lemon drink)? Lastly, how old do u recommend is best to start taking collagen?

    Valeria your videos are so inspirational.
    But milk producs are not good for your health.Try to replace it with almond milk or pure coconut yogurt.

    You should use a metal straw for your lemon water! I learnt recently that drinking acidic drinks through a straw doesn't hurt your teeth as much :)

    Hey Valeria! :)) I always thought I can't put the collagen powder into hot food or beverages (I thought the heat would kind of destroy the collagen). And now I see you putting it into your tea! So you know for sure that the heat doesn't do any harm to the powder??? I would love to hear your opinion/advice about that!!❣️ And thank you for being such an inspiration❣️❣️

    Lemon water before brushing? Nooooo! - acidity in lemon softens enamel, and the mechanical movements of your toothbrush then remove the softened enamel = tooth erosion
