The bigger ,anti spin open loop ,for the hooklenght,is a very nice touch,Mick! I usually tie my loops super super small,or attach the hooklenght with a water knot or figure of 8 line to line knot. I guess discretion is not that critical with longer hooklenghts for cage feeder fishing .
Does the feeder go directly onto to the clip bit? The hooklength onto that 5" bit u tied via cutting the loop in half and tied a fig8 loop at the end. Sorry 40 yrs out not helping Mick.
Hi Mick. Do you use a piece of fluorocarbon ever ,instead of the twizelled bit. I.m relearning all of this newfandangled stuff - so different to the late 70's/ early 80s! Could you not just tie a piece of much stiffer say mono between 2 small swivels instead of the twizel bit and just go from there. I.m guessing this latter suggestion would create a kink maybe. Cheers fella - great to be fishing again ...soooo much more shared savvy out there today ( youtube etc) than back in the day where in my neck of the woods ,it was all a bit secretive! Mind, my dad would only fish for tench back then. Carp were as rare as hens teeth - and peeps who fished for them with aminos were deemed freaks!! More carp today than you fan shake a stick at. Take care ...and great win,!!! Ooph,!
Mick explains things so well.makes it easy for us

Think even I could do that rig. Brilliant mr vials 👏👏

Great idea for anybody like me who struggles with the 'twisted loop'rig.👍👏
👍
Brilliant explanation. Thx
Do mine similar but do a twisted boom of the doubled up line and leave it
Amazing, thank you.
Think I prefer the German version 😂😂😂👍🏻great post Mick @ Nufish !
Thanks for sharing this rig Mick, can I ask what make and size of snap link swivel do you use on this rig?
It is a sample swivel we are looking at. but there are lots of good options from other brands
My hero love it 😍
Nice little video again. Do you ever use this type of feeder set up for rivers at all?
Yes it works well for rivers also. A nice option is to put another rubber bead above the feeder to act as a bolt rig effect

Hi , yes the feeder clipped on via the snap link swivel , then loop to loop the hooklentgh onto that length of line
What fishing line and diameter was used to build the rig?
This rig can be used with any diameter , that is the advantage to this rig , but this is prototype line in 0.20 diameter
Neat

Give it a try. We often just use a straight piece of line nowadays
Dont get why you put a knot into the line when knots weaken it.
It provides something to cast off
