I always use a twizzled boom, however your .method with the second twizzled boom to act as a bolt rig is genius. Fantastic videos as usual. Happy fishing..🎣👍
Can you please say what mainline your using, moving from carp this winter, to silvers , thinking maybe 10lb mainline, love your videos, thanks, very informative.
I usually stick to 8lb/10lb Daiwa sensor year round 👌🏻 I will just use a lighter hooklength if I’m really struggling for bites. However I honestly believe it doesn’t matter too much !
I'll give that extra twrzzel section a go next time I'm out as I normally run the feeder on the tag end and loop it off so it kick's the the hook link out a bit more, and just wondering what's the make of the tackle box your using and who it's made by
It’s just a cheap ESP tacklebox off eBay ! Good quality though I’m impressed with it for the price 👌🏻 comes with the foam spools to wrap hooklinks around also 👍🏻
If you add a small shot up the line to help as a self hooking thing, i take it that s deemed bad practice today as the lead/ feeder couldnt just drop off if snapped etc. Sorry for being a pain.
How do you change hook lengths as where I fish depending on how strong the tide is and if it's ebbing or flooding I change the hook length maybe every 30 minutes anything from 6 inches on slack up to about 30 inches at the fastest part of the tide and as it slows shorter again
You could attach your hooklength with a small quick change swivel I guess. But I’m not sure this rigs very good for fast changing of hooklengths. Could be fiddly !
@@WestysAngling on some occasions I have lengthened or shortened the hook length every few minutes adjusting to the height of the water so I would need to have a hook supply in two or three inch lengths
Would a heavy feeder push the bead over the knot on casting? Was thinkng to give it a go on the river but not sure if it would work fishing with heavy feeders
Hi ...could you pre - tye the boom bit so you could just attach it to your main line ( with another small swivel)rather than retying the whole thing everytime ? Any help appreciated.
Do you mean already tied onto your rod line ? I.d defo kp hook length separate like you said. But can the twizel bit be kept as a rig and added later to your main line as reqd with a swivel or something? Sorry , i.m a bit not with it! Cheers!
@@SensitivityIsland yes all made up rod line etc you could ad d a Swivel but it then would stop it being a running rig and could be unsafe for the fish you would have to experiment with it 👌🏻🎣
Just a thought in relation to Mark's question. Would making up the rig, minus the hook length, with a quick change run ring to attach the feeder on. Then this rig could be attached to the main line by loop to loop. You would need a larger bead as well, possibly a rubber one. The run ring would pass over the loop to loop maintaining the safety aspect. Or am I not seeing a pit fall. Have not yet made one up to try it. Barry
L idea di lenza è buona ma secondo me va messa una girellina sulla brillatura , e uno sgancio rapido per collegare il finale per evitare torsioni . Si vede anche dalla madre lenza nel mulinello che si arriccia solo a guardarla

Superb tuition. Great Help. Keep going.👍👏
Come on Westy lad, it's about a foot? 🤣 You've got a ruler in front of ya Murt 🤣
Cracking tutorials keep up the great work and Tight Lines Brethren 🎣☕
Hahaha ! Don’t need the Ruler Ian … it’s fishing you have to do everything by eye 😉😂 even if there is one in front of you 😂….
Great video once again 👏
If you don’t tie the loop at the end of the twizeled loop it can close up making it hard changing hook lengths

Thanks for the reply, watched a few of your videos yesterday and subscribed, great presentation. Very clear.
Very good, i'll be giving this a go👍
Let me know how you get on with it Chris 👌🏻👍🏻

@@WestysAngling cheers for that mate I'll have a look for it and the foam sounds handy as I tie my own hooks

@markandrew8938 that’s correct! it’s only in case your mainline snapped, it’s why the little knot is perfect 👌🏻 it can go through but only just.
Ahhh ...the small knot ...get it now ...cheers ...thanx for your patience!
Class mate I'm partial to this set up myself when fishing rivers. What are you normally targeting using this method?
Anything that swim’s usually Darryl ! As long as I’m catching 😂
@@WestysAngling same mate I can't afford to be choosy 🤣
😂👌🏻

It will work fine buddy, but I honestly don’t think it’s needed on the river, usually a fish will set the hook against the flow and feeder weight 🎣👌🏻
@@WestysAngling thanks for the reply. Great looking rig

I keep mine made up in a rod bag minus the hooklength 👌🏻

If you had used a yellow line, it would have been clearer.
Still don't get it.
What a crap!! What a stone age!! Lots of useless pile of knots!! 100% of tangles guaranteed+ pile of weakest point on line!!
Constructive and well written, thank you 😂
My only comment is - Don't knock it until you've tried it!
