Great effect and tutorial. A hint on the airport pellets; use a clean shipboard to vacuum them out of the piece and the. Pour them into your bucket. It keeps them from going everywhere.
Every one of your videos I've watched I've called you a 'big dummy' in my Fred Sanford voice. You are a perfect mix of information and goofy comedy and I love it. Thank you!
just found yer channel... LOVE IT, really great ideas... also as a father of four, your girls are gonna thank you later for making ( letting ) them help😉🤟😎
Can you do a tutorial on the Kreg pocket hole jig?? I'm not sure why I'm letting it kick my tail...yet it is. I also bought the rip guide, I took it back, I do better with just eyeballing it with my line drawn, my circular saw, and me! In the market for a nice table saw now. Just started building 2 years ago. I have almost remodeled my whole home since then. I learned everything by watching RUclips videos and just having a pretty good sense of style. Your channel is awesome! Love it!!
I've poked myself in the eye with a leg (or is it an arm?) of a pair of glasses. Not deliberately but then I wasn't making a video and wanting to add a bit of humor. My first thought when you brought out the green pellets was you were going to put them in the table. Good idea to see how much epoxy you needed. Nice table. Never cared much for marshmallows and wondering if if it tasted like smoky oak. A funny bit of humor for the video. Nothing like a nice fire on a cold day, right? I've been wanting to do some epoxy pours but some of the stories I've heard and videos I've watched makes me a little skittish. I like the Shou Sugi Ban look. I've done some the fractal burning but not Shou Sugi Ban. I'll definitely be trying that out.
Love it! I did my whole deck and pergola in shou shugi ban (real deal w/ Lin seed oil and everything.) I did not have the same results witg an oak whisky barrel, but that looks great! Nice work
Is the linseed oil put on first and then lit and that's how the wood is charred? I had no idea linseed was used until you mentioned it just now and thought it'd be cool if it's used as an accelerant lol
Some epoxies you can let sit for 10 min or so b4 applying and most bubbles gone like the liquid glass you used. So why did you use a different epoxy on wood to start with and not just use the liquid glass?
Just barely. I made sure as I was burning it to burn both sides enough to keep it to a minimum. It was small enough that it didn’t matter because the mold was thicker.
So I love the look of this and plan on making some shelves with this same idea. I have shelf brackets that can hold a 1" thick board. How thick would you suggest I plane my oak boards down to, to make sure the wood plus epoxy does dont exceed 1".
@@HAXMAN hey man is there any way you can make me a table 5 foot length and 25 inches wide I’ve been trying to find a place near me but no one around me does this burn kind of table

@@HAXMAN thank you thank you rockstar! You rock! Also which one is the other drill at 8:35!?!? Doesn't the Milwaukee right angle drill do the job for that? Pls excuse my ignorance! Also maybe you could suggest the best all-rounder all-job cordless drill, if one could have just one and only one drill to do everything with! Thank you thank you so much for everything that you do and are! Imma big fan!
@@Maddyfmech721 Thank you so much! The other drill is just a basic compact drill. Most people will never have the need for the right angle drill. Those are for use in tight spaces. That drill just happened to be handy for me at the time. Without knowing exactly what you want to do I would recommend this drill. amzn.to/3q2pkVY It's a nice compact drill that will do almost anything you want. It has the added function of a hammer drill which is good if you ever need to drill concrete. If you were going to do something were you would be drilling all day an 18v drill might be better for you. I might do a video explaining the differences with drills. I'm sure other people wonder the same thing. Thanks again!
Why are all these middle aged acting the pRiCk now pack it in it's not Nickelodeon you doughnut you're showing adults some quite dangerous stuff, you do really explain things well so there's not need to over do it. Just saying!

That is an unbelievably good way to estimate how much epoxy is needed with the BB's. Never seen that before, but thats an awesome method. Thanks.
That’s a great shitter seater!... 🤣😂... love the epoxied bunt wood effect.✨✨👌👌👍👍👍👍🇦🇺
I’ve been dabbling in epoxy and this boosts my confidence knowing that you don’t have all industrial grade tools. Great video!
The Ruger box in the background completed a great video. 👍
Nice piece of furniture though 👌 👏
Haha I was gonna say the same thing. 10/22 out of 10/22 would recommend.
Been looking at making a bedside table and I think I found the right design, thanks! That looks excellent
Having used epoxy for knife handles, parchment paper releases much better than wax paper. Awesome table! Wife wants me to make a river table.

Danke! Very kind of you to say!
Awesomely sick...great job. Tnx👌👍
That came out pretty cool. I was holding a straight face the whole video until the end. A preserved outhouse seat 🤣
Amazing table! very impressed!
Oh my goodness, you are soooo funny. Love it!
The projects are great, too. :)
This guys crazy 🤣 I love it
Awesome build. Thanks for sharing - I love it.. 👍🙂
🔨 its the haxman
This would look pretty sweet trimmed in walnut and the obligatory LED but orange and yellow. Like a volcano 🌋 ties into the charred wood!
How did i miss this one?! DAMNIT!

It's an awesome what would the cost in resin be if you had to guess for just that table?
Great video, very entertaining and learned a lot from your effort! Thanks!

Do you not find it necessary to seal the wood with a thin seal coat first?

What’s that music when you start constructing the form for the deep pour?
Don't stop acting " normal " in your videos & keep them coming! It's good to not only watch diy videos but also have to pause sometimes to laugh!
Preserved out house seat.. ok im a subscriber lol.
1:26 the glue would melt when charred! Trust me, from experience, that’s the reason.
Top quality toilet seat right there.
Can this be done with plywood?
Looks great, was looking for some ideas and found your channel subbed.
Thanks!
That's some good hot sauce! If it did that to a out house seat. : ) Cool video.
😂 Thanks!
@@HAXMAN Come on ice cream😜
I think it came out pretty good. Question though was there any warp to it the next day after you drenched it with water ?
Just barely. I made sure as I was burning it to burn both sides enough to keep it to a minimum. It was small enough that it didn’t matter because the mold was thicker.
I've always liked the blue pigment with charged wood. But I like the clear look now also it give a 3 dimensional look of the grain . Nice job

I would say depending on how much epoxy you use, 5/8" to 3/4" thick boards would be good.
Cool
I already have the wood for this in my garage roof.
Holy shit bad ass !!

I wanna see this done to some gun furniture

Looks like a terlit seat.
I am sure it turns out looking great but right after the burn it looks like you recovered the seat from an outhouse fire.
Please tell me which drill that is at 8:10min to 8:20min!
