    Wow! Amazing info on this channel for Coyote swaps. I have subscribed! I am going to Coyote swap my 91 GT with a Gen 2 Coyote motor and 6R80! I've owned my 91" Mustang GT since 1998 at 16yrs old and never sold it. I've had it in my garage since 2007 when the old 306 motor broke a crank bearing so I pulled the motor and transmission but she doesn't have any rust. Your channel is motivating me to get the Coyote swap going now and made my decision that a Coyote swap is the way to go. I also watched your Header and K-Member video also, so not only am I learning a lot, I'm also going to be saving money doing things you've verified already work together. I love it, thanks again!

    i'm trying to research this for my 2006 mustang gt if I need to replace the motor one day and want to keep the car. seems nobody is building 3v's anymore. I keep seeing you have to modify the timing cover for the alternator or something. sounds like a real hassle. I don't even have AC in my car so seems like it should be pretty easy. So just getting the motor to run is pretty straight forward, but getting the stock gauges to work in my 06 will be a royal pain?

    Does the Coyote control pack include control for a 4R75W?
    I've been (very seriously) mulling over swapping in either a Coyote or a 7.3 (Godzilla, not diesel), but so far as I can tell, neither has a control pack that includes control of the 4R75W in my F150 to replace the 4.6 3V.
    Kind of irritating.
    I've never done a standalone transmission controller either so not a lot of confidence in that area.
    I get a lot of "BuY A nEw F150 WiTh ThE 7.3 iN iT aLrEaDy", but the used and new car markets have exploded, so yeah...

    • @ralphellis4569

      @@marcosaceves972 Not really. Lots of standalone controllers but nothing to seamlessly integrate the 4r75w with the 7.3 godzilla or coyote that I can see.
      I would already have a 7.3 Godzilla out of a wrecked carcass in my 07 f150 if a combined controller could be found.

    • @bullet9564
      @bullet9564 24 дня назад

      Why a Coyote control pack include control for a 4R75W? You'd have to get a separate controller for that

    • @ralphellis4569
      @ralphellis4569 24 дня назад

      @@bullet9564 The mapping for factory specs would be incredibly easy for Ford to do and would provide a true drop-in management solution right out of the box. It's wasted opportunity.
      If it has a bellhousing that fits it should have a configurable mapping option for the electronically shifted transmissions.

  • @ditrekbegin183
    @ditrekbegin183 2 года назад +2

    I've got a silly question, what would stop you from just using the actual computer from the donor vehicle? I've decided to go this route. I already have a means to delete PATS I'm just wondering what else. I imagine may need a custom fuse box, and I'm also after using the GT premium dash cluster in my SN95. Have (I'm pretty sure) everything I'll need, and I have some fabrication skills. Just wanna know what would stop me otherwise

    • @turbinatorlou
      @turbinatorlou 2 года назад

      Spend the money on a controls pack. You’ll save yourself a ton of headaches in the end. I promise this won’t be the last time you’ll hear it.

    • @ditrekbegin183
      @ditrekbegin183 2 года назад +1

      @@turbinatorlou I've seen it countless times, but no one has actually told me what these "headaches" are. Honestly I'm pretty determined to use the donor PCM, and when I get it to work I'd definitely like to tell the story, but I truly can't find anyone who tells me problems with it I haven't thought of. I know I must run a return-less fuel system, and find a proper fuel pump, I have the whole wiring harness and even the gas pedal. I have a means for a pats delete, too. The control packs have only gone up in price, but I can even run cruise control and have a 2013 GT premium dash cluster, with the factory PCM. Even have the buttons. I've done a lot of research, but I want to find someone who dealt with the headache and I want to learn. What are these headaches? Why does everyone fear it so much?

    • @turbinatorlou
      @turbinatorlou 2 года назад +1

      @@ditrekbegin183 Everything in those harnesses are intertwined. That’s from door locks, anti theft, airbags, cruise control, guages, traction control and possibly a handful of other components all these newer cars come with. I’m sure it’s been done before but it’s just one of those things that won’t be worth the headaches. Personally I’d save up for a controls pack. It simplifies the wiring making it a much easier swap. Trust me I’m not trying to give you a hard time, just trying to make life easier for you. As far as fuel systems go you’ll need to decide what your ultimate plans are with your build. If your keeping it n/a on pump 93 octane you’ll be able to get away with a single 340 lph pump on a stock style hanger and factory fuel tank. Definitely has to be a rerun style so you’ll need new lines, and a fuel pressure regulator.
