Here is how I remember the tach's. It was standard on all 4 speeds with 300 or more horsepower. It was an option on the 250 horse motor cars with a 4 speed. IIRC, you could order it on a power glide car at extra cost as well.
Heck no, I had one and it had 88k miles on the clock 2nd time around when I sold it !! Wish I had all of my Impala's back. Mine was identical to this one!
Awesome 64 SS. A buddy bought a 64 Impala SS with this same 327 and 4 spd. in around 1968. No great speed demonstration, but loads of fun to cruise in. Here's a car that will no doubt, we'll cared for and maintained, appreciate in value. Love this color! Another friend ordered one new this color (327 with 3 spd. column shift) ... These cars were great at giving many years of dependable service. Love seeing these original cars kept this nicely! Kudos to both of the previous owners for loving this car as they obviously did. To add a note, watching her spin under the lights, I had never noticed until now how much the 64 Impala resembles the styling of her sister Pontiac.
It's a beautiful car I've always loved my high school car was a 1963 Chevy Impala SS hardtop 2 door I paid $300 for it and 1974 lots of fun lots of memories
Gourgeus stunning superb chevy impala, from the batcave 🦇 🦇 thanks Jay grams president of volo auto museum and russel for perfect photografy from tom your friend now and always 🤩 🤩 USA 😎 ☀️ 💎
I have an old abandoned 1964justlike this one on my property in thestates. Itsthesame red thoughvery faded. I think thwcar is too far rotted to savebutits a cool landmark
Had a black 63 SS 327 300HP wide ratio Borg Warner T 10 4 speed with a 355 posi. Ran really good. No, it wasn't going to beat a big block Chevelle or GTO but it was not a sled or slow by any means. Got a rush every time that Carter AFB was wide open throttle and slamming through the gears chirping the tires on every shift.

Can't go wrong with a '64 Impala! 👍👍

That 327 300HP was a great motor!
This was my grandma car, even same red color. She promised me that car but sold it to new boyfriend's daughter. Maddening!
I had a '63 SS Conv 327-300 4 speed. Let me tell you, that engine is superb.
You are so correct! I think that motor went on to the 67 Camaro as well friend of mine had that in his Camaro and that car

This is the car Dr. Dre used in his Let Me Ride Video! (Rollin’ in my 64!)

My first car was a 64 SS, red with black interior, 283 3speed, I dont know if it came that way but thats how I bought it back in 1972, $600
I don't live very far from the Volo Auto Museum.
Great stuff...
Nice, this looks like the biggest of all super sports
The first car I can remember my father owning was just like this one except it wasn't an SS. I'd love to own this. Too bad I'm poor 😁
same brother what color would u get it in. my dad first had a dodge challenger
That exhaust note screams, "Ms. Jackson!"
Stunning! There is nothing quite like a 327.
Love the colour!
1964 IMPALAS MAKE GREAT LOW LOWS, ESPECIALLY THE SUPER SPORTS
Jay - You continue to put out great cars at an affordable price!! Keep it up!!
How in gods name is that an affordable price?
@@TheLambertusif you don’t mind me asking how much was it going for?
High school best friend had one identical except the wheels were replaced with Keystone Krome Klassics.
The tach came with 300 HP engines.
Yes, a 250 hp or 283 four speed would not have had the tach
My dream car 😍😍
Fabulous car 🚗
❤BEAUTIFUL IMPALA❤
It’s a CARRAS 🙏
I had one my favorite
What color? Engine?
Buda çok güzel zamansız araba yapanların eline emeğine sağlık. Teşekkürler.

Is this car still available
I found an abandoned old car rotting away on some property, turns out it's this exact same color and model.
Wow !!❤
For some reason, and I can’t put my finger on it, the rear of the body, behind the tires, looks different, like something is missing from the body.
🤘💯😝💯🤘
I’ll take it 😂
Nice car but the dash and interior looks like it’s been smeared down with Armor All or Vaseline!
A 283 was a 6-cylinder?
That 327 300 HP is going to be a dog trying to haul a big sled around
Your wrong! That 327 has plenty of power!
@@TheDRUM2112 it will be a dog Haulin that old sled
