Car of my dreams.
NICE :-)
In a way, somehow
That's the color of my dad's Impala SS. He's currently in the process of getting it restored.
Hi Kyle, Happy to read this one has the same color as your Dad Impala :-) Hope it comes out the way he likes it, Lou
My Grandmothers last new car. She ordered it with the big 409 V8 and a 2 door hardtop in light steel blue and white top. Loaded. And yes, that rear was a speaker as an option and that was a big deal back in those days. Beautiful cars, and they were worth every penny.
Hi Jochim, Happy to read this car brings back memories of your Grandmothers last new car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
My Grandfather’s last Chevy! His wasn’t the SS, and it only had the 283, but it served him well (even if it was slow as hell). At the same time he had this, I had a Chevelle that also had the 283, and it was just as slow!
Classicly uncomplicated design, beautiful blue, well optioned, automatic and original. Jet-Smooth SS!
This is my favorite.
Thanks for posting.
Hi solemandd67, Happy to read this one is a favorite of yours :-) You're welcome, Lou
I'm graduating until the summer of 2025 I'm getting a 64 Chevy Impala whenever I get done at school

Nice to see this beautiful 64 impala SS. I love to see nice original unmolested cars. My first car was a 64 Chey, albeit a Biscayne, but friends and i still had lots of fun with that car.

Hi Lou, thanks for another winner! So many of these cars were lowrided and modified, it's a real pleasure to see a beautiful original! That "turned" aluminum trim on the sides and over the taillights was exclusive to the Super Sport, and was used by Chevy from 1962 through 1964.
Hi gojoe283, Happy to read this one is a "Winner!" :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing your knowledge, Lou
My parents bought and Impala SS new. Unfortunately it only had the 283 two barrel. A major embarrassment for a kid whose friends knew all too well that the lack of flags on the V meant that the 327 was not under the hood.
Hi Bill, Happy to read this car brings back memories of your Parents car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
After 4 years in the Air Force, last one at Thule AFB, I saved almost $2,000 and went Chevy shopping. Local dealer had THIS CAR in the showroom with a 283/Powerglide and soon I drove it away for $2995. Great car, great memories; traded it for performance: 68 Malibu 327, added Michelins (huge improvement). Still love driving Impalas - '13 LTZ (Michelins of course).
Thank you for keeping memories fresh.

Hi Greg Fair, Happy to read this car / video brings back memories of your 1st car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
I bought this car with the 4sd in 1973 for $365. The next night we out ran a 68 roadrunner 4sd 383. Same color. Not a mark on it. Miss that car.
Hi jr, Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
I sing in a barbershop chorus, and we just learned 409 by The Beach Boys about 6 months ago. I've been educating our director (who's a Ford guy) about the 409 Chevrolet Impala. I told him that the 406 is the Ford alternative to the 409.
Hi Daniel, Feel free to share this one with him :-) ruclips.net/video/UCFboLFgHfc/видео.html
If he's stuck on the Ford 406 you can share this one. ruclips.net/video/UCFboLFgHfc/видео.html

I had a friend years ago that has two 1964 Impala SS's 409 4-speed !! -- And a plain one with a 327 for spare body parts.
Hi Robert Smith, Sounds like you have fun Friends :-) Lou
Nice view Lou!!! Being born in 1967, obviously I saw several of these through the years. They never stood out. But they would now!
Hi Jed Clampett, Glad to read you're familiar with this car. You're right, you'd remember this car now for sure :-) Lou
@@loucostabile I meant that I was born in 1957, not 1967.

That was my 64! Same color combo. Mine was a 409 4 speed. Otherwise same options ( not many) as was the norm in those days. Beautiful car. I ask had a white 62 SS blue interior. 327-300 HP Powerglide with Factory Air and power windows. Never had a car with A/C that cold. I loved both cars but the 62 is the one I wish I still had.

One of my favorite 🚘
Hi David Terry, Glad this one is a favorite of yours :-) Hope you see many more cars on this RUclips Channel you'll enjoy, Lou
Now that is one car I wouldn't mind having - that is one beautiful '64 Impala SS! I really love that engine turned trim on the dashboard and on the sides of the car. And those spinner wheelcovers are so attractive! Some neighbors of mine had a '64 Impala SS many years ago, back when I was small, and this car brought back memories of it. This car may have "only" a 327, but still, I'd take it in a heartbeat, 'cause there aren't many of these left! And the ones with the 409 are priced way out of reach, and those are even harder to find! I have always wanted a '64 Impala! Hopefully, I will get one before I leave this earth; I just need to come up with some good lottery numbers! (3/12/2021)
Hi Geminisixtyfour, Happy to read this car brings back memories of the cars in your neighborhood :-) Hope you're behind the wheel of the right one for you soon. Lou
Sweet, my dad had a 63 SS in gold. It had that same roof and the car had factory AC. I learned to drive with that car.
Hi Dudley Holllister, Glad you enjoy this 'sweet" car :-) Sounds like great memories with this one, Lou
I’m restoring a ‘64 and it’s nice to see a car in its original form so I know what mine is supposed to look like! Thank you for the video!
Hi Jay, Hope your comes out the way you like it. My pleasure sharing this car with you. You're welcome, Lou
@@loucostabile One question if I could Lou, do you know what tire size is on the car? Thank you!
Very Nice. But I believe this car was repainted (re-finished) Original as far as refinished to its original 1964 But again its beautiful!
I love the red Impala station wagon in the book.
That's a fun car too.
Nice to see this old girl still original and unmolested. I really enjoyed your review of Mr Nagle's '64 SS (love all his cars as a matter of fact).

My dad had a '64 Bel Air. Traded in his '61 Plymouth Fury when he bought it. Roomy cars back then!
Sounds like Dad had some nice rides :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing.
A 1961 Plymouth Fury is a rare car.
@@SpockvsMcCoyNow yes, but not back in the mid '60s. My Dad's favorite car (daily driver back -and-forth to work) was a Rambler American. Owned 2 of them, a 1960 and a 1964. 3 on the tree and great mileage.
@@19580822 Compared to a 1961 Impala or 1961 Galaxie, few of the 1961 Fury were actually produced due to the bizarre styling. The 1960 Rambler American has a cool funky look...which bodystyle?

I didn't see any A/C vents on this car. The engine insignia on the front fender with no numeric designation indicates that it had a 283 V8. The 327 and 409s usually had the number over the insignia.
