I replaced my shafts with graphite. Wanted my grips. They were in great condition. I didn't want to spend 35$ for this tool. But I had a brick layers tuck pointer. A little shorter but with solvent it worked perfectly
I’ve been known to use a coat hanger as well. Plenty of ways to get there but this baby was well worth the $$ in its durability and savings on my back 😀
thanks, I tried to get one on my chipping iron and failed half way, now it has to come off but it is very tight - at least now I know it can be done but I will try air first
I need to remove a Ping Man standard grip from a putter so that I can cut the shaft down an inch. I want to use the same grip when replacing. I don't want to damage the grip as they aren't cheap. How do I do that?
The ping man standard grip is rubber so this should work just the same but be a lot easier with no damage. If the grip is old and a little bit hard, a solvent injector would work better to loosen the grip and pop it right off.
Diggin the shorts thanks for the info
Thank you for sharing and also for wearing the apron.
I did this with a Brick layers 8 inch pointing tool it does work, I took a superstroke 5.0grip off one putter and placed onto another , result. 👍👍

Excellent video.
Wire coat hanger worked for me. Put some muscle into it. Took 10 mins
Thanks for the helpful video! I just got a similar tool and am looking to remove one of the newer Traxion SS grips.
The face at the end was the best part. Haha 😂
Yea I’m not the prettiest at the ball, but I can dance. 🥸 hopefully as I get to do more of these videos I’ll find my “you’re on camera, dummy” face.

where do I buy this tool in Europe Ireland)?
The brush you used is that a special brush or it's just a average bottle brush?
The one to remove the tape is a special wire brush. They are sold at Golfworks.com and really help on stubborn jobs.
