Haaa i wish
Let's give this man credit, he got lots of us into cooking back in the day and honestly, he brought all kinds of pro tips our way and we have bragged with the opposite sex and friends and family thanks to him so, a big Ole shout out to the OG, thanks Jamie. We love you dude. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Guys, try it the portuguese way. Salt the sardines quite generous on the outside, grill them on charcoal for about 3min on each side, then fillet it with your fingers (its easy, the flesh comes right out) and serve it on top of rustic bread made out of corn. You see, sardines have a lot of fatty oils that are good for your organism. When they start to release those oils to the bread, its just outstanding. The flavour is amazing. And the bread helps you swallow any fish bones that stay in the flesh. Eat it and drink some red wine. Then say "caralho que é bom"
Sounds delicious. Would grilling in the pan be preferred over the oven in case i don't have access to charcoal?
@@googleaccount4578 I've eaten them made in the oven and it's manageable but the flavours are not the same. Never tried it in the pan though
There's this Kerala recipe that I absolutely love to bits. Do all the same things to prep the fish. mix up one or two green chillies, three or four cloves of garlic, knob of ginger and a bunch of coriander leaves, one or two shallots and salt and turmeric grind to a fine green paste and then marinate fish. After two or three hours, just dip each marinated fish in some fine semolina and fry off in a pan. It's absolutely beautiful!
this reminds me of the old jaime at home episodes....i love them....you inspired me to cook sir....i love you, and hope you are blessed both spiritualy and financially. i brlieve you care about people, and hsve a pasdion to truly help them. life is not always cotton candy and roller coasters. you will triumph because of your humility. God bless you sir

I adore sardines, fresh sardines from Aegean Sea! I love this recipe!
most people think sardines are simply those little fish in tins.
Real sardines are good.
The ones in tins are good lol
They're great for cats.
Real sardines are good, but Jamie's oven is going to smell like fish for a week.
Everytime I make sardines, I make them outside and each time, the neighbor's cat pays me a visit hahaha
@@AbduCola for sure! Even my dog eats tinned sardines :-)
I like mine on toast with shoyu sauce.
The fresh ones are just better.
No less than mackerel
I loved the sound of chopping pepper, just like music
The coolest chef ever. So natural. Genius i must say.
I have never eaten sardines, but when I see how Jamie prepare it, I think it's time to change it!😘👍

Hot oil..Super-oxidents (acts just opposite to what anti-oxidents do in the body)
I do like sardines. Thanks for the recipe. I've not made pita bread before. I suppose I should give it a try?

Mr Jamie! How lovely is that recipe and your cooking!!! Looks delicious and even better so healthy. You’re my favourite. 👍
Fennel smells like anise, so ouzo or tsipouro or raki might be a good choice for drink. Ah! Summer!
Very good, simple recipe. Bravo.

Demais, fabuloso e apetitosa receita ou mesmo jantar. maneco - Porto Alegre-RS -Brasil.
Classic dish here 🇬🇷.
We have the best fish recipes
Fennel seeds? that's an excellent idea! I think it will be a nice change from sardines with tomato, garlic, olive oil, oregano in the oven. Sometimes we put the whole sprig of fennel to give the aroma, but had never tried it with seeds.
2:09 "Cut the tablespoon." Love it.
He said, "couple of tablespoons."
My grandmother like sardines and the EGYPTIAN 🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬 olive oil is the best ever in the world
Where do you get sardines that look like that? As an Island - Ireland has remarkabley few fishmongers.
Wonderful video Jamie. I have a Pomegranate bush in the front yard and this yard I'm harvesting the fruit. Thanks for the tip on removing the deliciousness from the rind there as well. Cheers!
Настоящий вкус можно оценить только в простых рецептах приготовления, качественных свежих продуктах и желании готовить.
Ps
Jamie - один из лучших современных рестораторов, знающих отлично своё дело.
Да не такие они у него и простые.
Huh, I can't find the 'Full Whack' setting on my oven. Guess I can't make these :(
He should've been more precise. "Full whack" will be different depending on what kind of oven you have. I did "Full Whack" on my electric oven 230C for 10 minutes turning halfway and it didn't even come close to looking like the sardine in this video.
Under the grill or in the oven?
Looks fabulous, certainly one to try. Back to the tennis now, COME ON FEDERER.
Haha I’m doing the exact same thing. He’s in a little trouble at the moment!!
Looks yummy, so simple and easy 😋
Nice recepie! I wanted to suggest the moroccan sardine recepie with moroccan spices and coriander , it's going to take you to anothet dimension !
I think it’s better to season the sardines with a paste which I make with fish stock cube and olive oil.
Marco Pierre white you referring to?
Ish...
But no marko schit allowed.
How do you prepare the fish? Do they come from the store cleaned and gutted?
amazing -thank you -good hop
Sardines ,,you have to go to Portugal to eat easy, tasty simple sardines in bread; fried or roasted;made in 5 minutes:

So hungry!
Looks like young jamie, the mullet coming back?
Def will try that! 😋
My favorite chef
Where the hell can the average person i.e. living on the 16th floor of Nelson Mandela house in Peckham get sardines THAT fresh? and let’s be honest fish is all about freshness.
That's what you call a fresh sardine ? You should really come to my home city and see for your self
Global Citizen EXACTLY!!! 🤣
What a healthy meal!
Much Love from the USA(DC Metro)
Love this ❤thank you for your sharing .
I love sardines
Looks so yummy
Very similiar to our roasted Sardines in Tunisia just use the Harissa with the herbs and spices
Sounds delicious, Harissa is nice.
I love sardines I'm actually going to grill some today I'll skip the chilli though

Fennell and sardines? interesting thank you Mr Oliver
Most outstanding!!!
This told me nothing.

Very nice thank you very match
I'm gonna try it, probably with canned sardines though.
If u make a few cuttings on each pieces it would b more tastier.
That actually looks damn good
Best fish dish I’ve seen on Food Tube
Just tried cooking it for 2nd time using Fennel seed, it taste so weird. Fennel seed is Adas Manis in Indonesia. For me better without fennel seed as in my 1st try on this recipe last week.
