Hello Nathan. Very cool. Tried several of these rations, just not this particular one, or one this new. Looks solid, and, typical of Asian rations. Some components, are different, agreed! Veggies, fruits, sides, always light, rice, noodles, always plenty. I like them . The FRH'S are nuclear, agreed. Glad you enjoyed most, and had some fun. Cool review as always. Glad to hear from you. Peace, John.
Circa 1979 we were given a pallet of C-Rations during a hurricane. In the selection was something my Hillbilly Grandma liked but not one of us Marines would touch which was "Scrambled Eggs & Pork Brains". The date on all the Rations was Expired 1956. The shade of gray those brains were was the single worse looking food next to fermented/rotten fertilized duck eggs I saw in the Philippines.
Very interesting ration! If I recall correctly the Chinese troops are actually issued chopsticks. The spoon is essentially a back up in case they lost their chopsticks. The chopsticks are part of the mess kit they get issued, kinda similar to how the WWII US troops had stainless steel utensils as part of their mess kits, and the K ration came with a wooden spoon in the ration box as a backup. As to what their chopsticks are made of I’m not real sure. Probably plastic like the spoon is made of to cut down on production costs.
Pretty sure this is designed like the Canadian ready meals -- just a single easy to prepare field training meal, not really designed for combat. Its filling, but assumes you have a breakfast and dinner at the mess hall later.
My best guess that wasn't beef I guess you could call it mystery meat cuz no one is really knows what it is I mean I've got my suspicions but that's just me but I definitely know it ain't beef
Ole mister steveareeno is why mre sourcing is so fuken difficult and ultra expensive these days. When someone watched him and everyone and their grandma decided to create a mre review channel was the beginning of the end.
Knowing a bit about Chinese quality control (or rather lack there of) the term "Fresh" is somewhat ironic and shouldn't be taken seriously. Actual Chinese food is pretty bland and that's coming from a British guy.
I think the rice, meat, egg and cucumber were meant to be combined.
😂right? And the sauce
I kept thinking that too.
Of course it’s obvious
Yao, Nathan is a typical American
Knows nothing about the world
I don't think I could have eaten that, well esp the "egg" lol love your videos !!!!!

As others have said, I’d assume that everything other than the soup would be condiments for the rice.
I'd squish the rice a bit while its in the pack before opening and pouring it out. That should fluff up the rice so it doesn't look clumpy.
Haven't watched your reviews in a while. Great reviews, name of the knives you've used, they look amazing
That has to be the most unappetizing looking MRI that I have ever seen!

This is for public camping, not for Chinese special forces. Anyway, I enjoyed it.😎👍
Nah for public camping we bring along self heating hot pot things they're much cheaper at 40-50RMB for a big black plastic pot of hot pot.
Nice one Nathan 👍
Was watching another channel. They ate the dehydrated soup as a cracker in the MRE they were reviewing.
The Japanese FRH's are the best . Too bad they dont sell them on the civil market , they would make some money .
You can buy them from the Japanese shop in London. Microwave rice that can be boiled in a mess tin and curry sauce, various flavours.

Mix it all in a bowl with the soup make a stew
nice blade!
"INTERESTING"
TEE-SHIRTS with your logo on the front, and this word on the back would be GREAT!👍
The “yellowness” is probably turmeric
You can use the translate app and camera feature to read the text in real-time
I have done that in the past but im using my phone now to film so I had to take a pic and print it
Seeing this, I would pass on this MRE. Just not to my preference.
I watch this guy's BMW channel it's pretty good
What's his BMW Channel? Does he fix BMSs? He doesn't even put a link to his BMW channel.
Mix the entire mre into that white box tray. Including the soup. Yup. Try it again plz :) but I know you won’t. Thanks anyways. Glad to see it.
The packets all had to be heated together and mixed🎉
Honestly, that looks like a bug. You pulled out the rice 😮
That was his tracker.
That mre might get your blood pressure back up
;)
Love the hi end catholic cafeteria tray.
Where can I get one ? ❤️
Ebay
Tray looks the the ones you can get at Target.
2:54 the water packet was inside the heater bag I think.
The quail eggs don't look anything like they did in the last video I watched of this exact meal! Those were 3 small eggs and not mashed up.
My best guess that wasn't beef I guess you could call it mystery meat cuz no one is really knows what it is I mean I've got my suspicions but that's just me but I definitely know it ain't beef
We all have our suspicions lol
Think your to dump everything in the rice and make chop suey

Actually the fda ruined it
No chopsticks?
Not enough food
Glad I am not a communist.
What no chop sticks?
Does the guy reviewing this not eat Chinese food? That stuff goes inn there, the hint is the big cardboard box.
😮
This guy is complaining too much. He loves cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.
Given the scandal of “gutter oil” making it’s way in to PLA rations you’re a braver man than me. @Nathans MRE
I think thats in India not china
@@MrJackfriday then you don't know what you're talking about. I wasn't making guesses.
I don’t think I could eat anything produced in the PRC, I’d be afraid to get lead poisoning or some form of illness.
I dont eat chinese food anyway, that looks awful

Looks horrible
I love the "not enough food" comments. Folks not everyone is a 300lb American that needs to consume 8,000 calories a day.
