You guys ought to do a video on how to make videos. I watch a lot of them and I judge yours about the best-clear and detailed instruction, fully explained for any level of audience, great camera work. Gives a lot of us courage and ability to do good stuff. As for suggestions, might you consider featuring some customers’ bikes, detailing interesting and creative things they’ve done. Start with Todd’s bike, I love the look of it, would be great to have a close look at it when he gets it done (or even before!).
Videos should inspire people to do better videos, we can't hold peoples hands though ahhaha. as for the suggestion about bike features on customers bikes we will try and look into that, no for certain we will but we will look into it. Cheers.
This video couldn’t have come at a better time. Just purchased the strut kit, and fender mounts. Thanks for all the detailed videos they are so helpful.
You guys are stars! I emailed Lowbrow last week and asked when this video was coming out. Got a reply from Todd saying it had been made but was being edited! What a nice surprise to see it tonight! And whats even better, they used the superb bullet proof Gasbox Fender that I'm using and the same brackets! :-) I learnt a lot from Tyler, so thanks a lot! God bless you guys! Cheers from UK
Christopher Smith ..... Dont mean to hijack your post, and I echo everything youve said. Im Uk too, can I ask where you are picking up Lowbrow goods ? UK or direct from Ohio ? was talking to the good folks at Lowbrow re UK suppliers and things are changing as far as distribution, and they dont as yet have anything in place for us Brits. I gotta say i was blown away that they were even discussing any of this , and talking one to one with customers. Respect.
@@barrythornton9947 I buy from their site. Hardtail, Rear fender, mounting brackets.... loads of stuff. All arrives quickly and safely! They answer emails and questions promptly! I have not had better service from any company ever! No one even comes close to these guys! If you want to chat about your build it's twinchrissy at gmail dot com.
Great videos, hopefully you'll make more this type of videos. Really helps people like myself who knows only a little on this custom world things. Cheers
Thanks for such in depth tutorials. I just ordered your hardtail kit and this was some valuable info to get the fender mounted correctly. Tyler and the Lowbrow crew....you guys rock!
On an inside corner where I want a radius I will typically drill a hole of appropriate size, sometimes I'll even use a holesaw to get the size I desire.
Awesome video I just mounted a gasbox fender to my sporty project and it's funny to see how similar my mounting procedure is to yours. Keep the great videos coming.
Hi guys love your channel 💪 I’ve been building bikes for 45yrs and this is just a heads up and Todd’s gonna hate me ! But the king link in any chain should be round end in the direction the chains going! There’s no way it can come off if something touches it ! Keep it up guys your Rad 👍
Thank you for showing all of the detail - very helpful. I think you missed a marketing opportunity by not having close-up video when Tyler showed the various Lowbrow products being used in this build.
There is close ups of everything we use part wise in this video as he talks about them in the beginning. 00:40 - 01:49. Not sure what else you were looking for but we do have 4 other videos on the fabrication of this build, from battery box install, to oil tank, solo seat mount, and banana gas tank install. Check out all of them here on our channel.
Great video guys... one little thing though, I noticed the chain's con-link clip was on the wrong way around... I realise that the chain is only on there temporarily, but I found that it is a good habit to always put it on correctly, with the open end of the clip facing the trailing end so that if anything was to hit it, it won't come un-clipped... As I stated at the start, you guys do fantastic video-info's... Thank you...
Nice unit bob. Looking at that same tank for an XS650 project. Nice detailed video that explains what you are doing, and zooms in to really give a nice in focus on the action. Lots of videos you cant see shit, not yours.
I love your videos. Please accept this in the spirit it was intended- Please don't store your chuck key in the lathe chuck, I have seen disastrous results.
that's some nice hardware. I wish that stuff had been around when I built my chopper. you had to make brackets and spacer bungs yourself. the parts that Taiwan ted had were mostly garbage.
love your work and videos, would deal with you more often, only freight and cost is a killer in Australia, is there an easier way? regards Lobby, (Mark Lloyd)
You can do that easily with this set up, just put a jack under the bike and remove the wheel with out having to remove the fender. The reason we mounted the fender this way not using through bolts, was so that the bolts won't possibly back out into the tire causing you to have to take the whole tire off to tighten or repair. It's easier this way to tighten all the hardware. Cheers
Excellent video. Question for you, is it much different putting that fender on a softail? I wanna put it on my breakout. I kno it can be done. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
@@lowbrowcustoms thanks. Only big thing i really see is the seat not being able to attach to the rear fender any longer. Would you ever consider a softail install video?
Do you offer any videos on properly allignment of the rear tire w one of your bolt on Hardtails ? I'm currently working on a build and having difficulty getting that exactly right. Any help or advise would greatly be appreciated.
have you tried giving our tech support a call? 1800-935-5050 and ask for Todd. Be sure to let him know what make and model of bike you are working on and what hardtail you are using and he can help.
Is this fender offset from center about 1/4" to the right? (Can't really see a straight-on back shot). Are Triumphs typically offset to right? I know Todd like to get the tire "centered". But how close to "centered" can you get? The sissy bar has got to look even also. Does this require replacing the hub offset so the tire then moves to the left? I've got a 4.75" Stingray fender on a 5" stretch hardtail I'm ready to mount. Thanks.
Difuder! love this tutorials, they're fucking great! The level of detail coming from someone that knows whats is doing... Greetings from Brasil, man! \M/
Any reason you couldn’t have lined up the right side chuck’ horizontal location using the first rod as reference while it was resting against the first chuck before you cut it? I don’t trust my “eyecrometer”
Critical Question: I just bought the GasBox lower end sissybar bungs. What amp setting and tungsten tip are you using on the weld across the top of the bung insert? The edge is very thin and I don't want to blow it out especially with the thickness of the 1/2" rod. 60 amp max and then throttling the heat? Do you need a filler rod?
Could you have just metal shaped the chain space and then reprofiled it ,be stronger that way and you wouldn't get work hardening from vibration. Food for thought next time.
Just a little advice you're probably don't need it or want it. If you keep the guard on the grinder you wouldn't spread your spark and grinding material all over the place. Now the guards on grinders are easily movable and removable.
You should have a guy on a trumpet, a guy on a guitar and a guy on drums in the corner of the garage that you point to only at the end of the video and say "ok guys that's a wrap." Maybe your bro,Todd and Wes! They can act like they were playing. Funny.
Great job but.. To make your life easier take a thick metal wire ( i don't know how is called in english sorry) and bend it exactly where you wanted and then bend anything in these measaurments. Also don't have the torch near the gas bottle and always remove your tools off the power ( bad experience). Sorry for my english, gret video!

Great video! Would love to see more XS650 build videos!
love this type of video . love Todds engine builds , wish they were more often .
Great video, just like everything that comes out of Lowbrow Customs. I hope you guys are around for a long, long time.

About to install a rear fender on my bobber project, thanks for taking out some of the mystery!
Hey, really liked the video; also wanna give a 'thumbs up' for giving credit for the music used
This video really helps me out cuz i had no idea what i was doing. THANKS!

ps- will you and the crew be out at Bonneville this year?

Very cool. well explained. The part about grinding and torching right next to the O2 tank added to the excitement.....lol.
Dude , awesome work! Makes me want to do some fabrication work myself..
Magnifique travail ,grand respect

just mock up stages bud. thanks for the heads up though
Love that bike. A springer front would do some justice though.
I wonder if the broken wrist had anything to do with the pogo stick in the corner. Great video and a beautiful build.
unironically thought the same

You spent way more time on that fender than I would have😜😜😜

Dont let my high school shop teacher see that. Mr. Wyse would make an example of you and you wouldn't like it. (Hi mr. Wyse!)🤪
cant believe that no one has commented on the lathe chuck key in back ground , As a machinist it kills me to see that .
i did mention it

Hey Mark, unfortunately we already have the shipping at the cheapest we can possibly have it!
Might you have an in line twin bobber/ chopper frames. Ones that require no welding, that are more in line w plug n play?
always da COOOLEST motorcycle shit on here!!!!!!
✊😎
What is your tig setup. Tungsten and filler rod? Thank you for your time. Love the videos.
Did you have to readjust the spacing on the brake so that it doesn’t hit the strut when you push down on the brake?
This is really great, love it! Have you thought about how to remove the wheel/tyre without having to unbolt the fender?

What kind of bench grinder/belt sander combo is that? Thanks
Good idea to remove the key from the lathe chuck...alot of people are killed by them. Ken MetalTek Socal
Excellent video. Question for you, is it much different putting that fender on a softail? I wanna put it on my breakout. I kno it can be done. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
yes you have to account for the swing arm moving. so you have to mount it so that it can move properly with the swing arm.
@@lowbrowcustoms thanks. Only big thing i really see is the seat not being able to attach to the rear fender any longer. Would you ever consider a softail install video?
@@JoeRusso-yr6ey we are in the beginning phases of starting to develop a bunch of stuff for evo soft tails
@@lowbrowcustoms that's great to hear.
Is that the lowbrow customs hardtail with 4" stretch and 2" drop?
yes
What about the rear brake lever being right up against the left side strut? Not enough clearance to apply the rear brake...
Please advise. What is appeal of Triumph bobber...chopper? Not familiar with engine? Cool looking.

Wouldn’t be going to far with the joining link clip put on backwards like it is...

we know, its just a mock up at this stage, by no means a final assembly. thanks for the heads up though.

good
split link fitted wrong way round
Time for some aluminum soft jaws.
If you need instruction on how to fit a mudguard (sorry, fender), what kind of motorcyclist are you anyway?
You can get metal fever from breathing metal dust in. It sucks.
You left the chuck key in your lathe, go stand in the corner for the rest of the day.
