Gotta say, I bought Koala over the Christmas period after dismissing it as a toy a number of times. How wrong i was, Koala is absolutely brilliant. So intuitive, powerful and inspiring. The only thing i don't enjoy, it must be my age, is using the touch screen to perform. So just this week I've been mapping the FX and samples from Koala to my Novation Circuit Rhythm. I love the tactile feel. So I'm currently thinking that my live rig will be Koala, Circuit Tracks and Circuit Rhythm.
Great stuff. I guess you’ve found you can get the sequences to trigger at sequence end, or on the next beat, or immediate. And mixing/adding sequences together. You can get a whole track into one sequence if you really want, as many bars as you like.
Its not going out of sync, i think, it's your last notes being held from the previous sequence. If you have them as one shot, they play through. If you have a long note, it plays through.
@@Waxadisc its fun stuff FX wise, the sidechainer is really useful for house/techno and using the compressor & limiter on the output buss can give your mixes a more even feel.
I went from Ableton/Push 2 to an MPC Live 2 for a more tactile and mobile experience (Push 3 wasn't out yet). And while the MPC Live 2 is an amazing machine in terms of what it can do for a groovebox (basically everything) it's definitely a bitch to get the hang of it. Then going to Koala Sampler was a breath of fresh air. An intuitive and superior sampling workflow compared to the MPC, which is supposed to be the king of sampling.

yes I thought that until i got into it. I just plugged in my ableton push mk1 and it works fine.
Hey!!! You made the mapping?? I have the rhythm too and need some ideas on how to map it to koala
Love your video remember now we have the feature play until sequence end so no probs with different length bars . ✌🏼
Excellent. Glad that's fixed. I need a video on how to sync it via android tablet to my korg volca as I'm having major issues

Thanks for sharing this, I'm pretty new to Koala & it was helpful seeing how people have their sets set up!

How would you do live sampling / looping by recording incoming external audio in a DJ performance with a midi controller?
Sweet idea, thanks!
Top!!!!!!

Yes i see now thank you .
I bought an SP 404 mk2 but I need to learn Koala as it is very powerful.
It's ace. You can do many things in it. Also add a physical hardware controller too. I add the Ableton push and it works
Have you tried the new FX bus updates yet?
No not yet. any good? Im on android so if its a mac update, im outta luck for now :(

its so quick and easy , you can get to the point very fast.
Why tho? If you want to perform loops maybe get remix live
