Wow. A huge 140+ mb update fix for Android just now. They're usually only 11mb or something! That's worrying. Plus the Play store says version 14098 but my device is still on 14097 _after_ the latest updates. 🤔
Oh man. Koala isn't just an app, it's a cultural movement. It's a piēce de resistance. It's an ancient weapon to fend off aliens. It's... I dunno, it's really handsome and great to cuddle with. Thanks for the update. My favorite app by a long shot.

Koala is taking the sampling game over. The thing is that Koala can definitely turn any cheap mobile Android or iOS device into the best sampler on the market, which means that anybody can have it for a very, very fair price. To me, that is one of the most incredible and appropriate aspects about the developer who has been and still is creating a sampler for the history books. He is creating a masterpiece a sampler program that can't be denied by anyone who is a sample beat maker. With that, I finish by saying thank you so much for creating Koala and for continuing to make it grow into what a sampler should be. 🙏 Shout out from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷."

My second favourite Quokka. That is no reflection on the synth, which is brilliant, it is just that quokkas are so god dam adorable.
I'm so happy that Koala now has a synthesizer. If you’re already familiar with sound design on DAWs, this is so nice since Koala can now be integrated more in electronic music production and not just only in chopping pre-made samples and finger drumming. Koala is getting more and more. Love it so much 🦇!

Holy SHIT! I can‘t believe how much you guys keep putting into this app, the more time passes, the less reliant I am on outside apps (even though I adore sampling into Koala via AUM) and this is just another piece to the puzzle. Thank you all SO much, I will have a tonn of fun with this thing!!!

I'm loving this synth. I've sample it into my keyboard and the signal is as strong as the keyboard's samples. Plus, I like the way the setup lets you put a few notes in a sequence, and craft a sound from left to right to save preset, all while the beat plays in sequence. Also, Koala has an intuitive feel that DAWs don't have. I like how you keep everything pretty much streamlined and free from annoying learning curves.

This is SICK like fr you could have sold this synth separately and it would have held its own amongst its peers. But to just have it added in an update to something I already owned is wild! Thanks so much for your continued work - I feel like I don’t have an excuse now and need to start using this is the tool it is instead of just as a toy (I usually bust it out when I'm out of the house, away from my synths and want to make short silly little sample things for fun). I really love the visualizations you have added too, and the UI is very slick.
This is incredible! Such a sleek & ergonomic small synth, I'm all admiration! Sound, layout, visualisations - thank you ever so much. Really. Not wishing to appear greedy, the one thing that would hurl me into total bliss would be a really loooong delay, 20 or 30 seconds, for some looper-style use
Oh wow, I totally failed to notice that the delay in the mixer tab can be set to a maximum of eight bars (not: beats)! When the project can accomodate a tempo of 60 bpm, that amounts to 8 x 4 x 1 second = 32 seconds. That is serious looper terrain… :-)

congrats on making an ios app that makes people who have sp1200’s, mpc’s, and other vintage samplers use what you created over their prized possessions. never thought i’d see the day when an ios app was inspiring. but it is here. been using koala since day one and it’s so f-ing dope, thanks marek!❤

I always love the simpler layouts of an app. It doesn’t have to get super fancy or overly confusing and unnecessary. This is one of the reasons I love Koala Sampler. Keep it simple and all business. Thanks Marek!
I'm a primarily synth/keys based musician, so the synth caught my attention and this is just amazing overall. I tried Koala today for the first time and upgraded fully after messing with this app for 5 minutes.
I'm absolutely blown away. This is such an incredible tool for portable creativity, which is huge for me lately. Koala is gonna be a big part of my portable music making process.

Was looking everywhere for this as a new app only to come to find out this is a free update if you have samurai. You guys have literally changed my life in so many ways is isnt even funny, for an insanely low pricetag and updates that are free or also low cost. Just.. thank you? This app has been such an incredible learning tool and full on studio for me so many times over.
The auto name* feature for presets is such a nice addition. I make so many beats..... I need this for all of my files lol
Thank you Marek! Wouldn’t it be cool if you could add the Filter, Envelope, and LFO sections to the chromatic sample section - click the piano icon and be offered the scale, filter, envelope, and lfo tabs at the bottom of the screen. Just an idea.
It is so good and I love it. I just wish the portmanteau would also work on the octave selector.

I bought Koala when it was first released, and also bought the Samurai add on; really appreciate supporting great apps and the developers behind them, even when it ends up sitting on my iPad, mostly unused. At a time when I'm slowly working through learning music production, Koala just impresses with all of those additional features, in addition to its base functionality as a very capable sampler. Now, we get a synth, and the design looks so great for me to craft sounds from scratch, especially for a guy like me learning sound design. So, so great...definitely the best value add out there, and a true labor of love. Respect.
Are you kidding me, this is….this is ridiculous. This is already the best music making thing I’ve ever used, over any daw, sampler, cello, guitar, whatever, and now it’s just….you can just use it all alone. To be able to generate its own sound at all is RIDICULOUSLY powerful, but of course you had to make it intuitive, powerful, flexible, and fun. I just think you should be rich and happy for the rest of your life and in the afterlife.

Please make it possible to show the keyboard at the same time you tweak the synth

God damn it man, one thing is that amount of functionality you keep adding but another one is the sheer amount small UX friendly things like swipable drop downs or the lfo indicators on diferent tabs. F*cking bravo.

If you could find a way to load a sample into the oscillator spot then this would be the same functionality as an OP1.

You guys are killing it! I finally got Samurai the other day and this was a huge bonus. Quokka is extremely intuitive. I learned one or two new tricks from the tutorial but mostly I figured it all out immediately from digging in. I already had way more than 4 bucks of fun and using a crappy Android phone to boot. Thanks!
On Android I couldn't find Quokka so I uninstalled and then reinstalled and there it is. Thank you for the update!

Thank you! I’m having a lot of fun building my own presets already. I noticed some of the mixer bus effects are updated like “mix” in the flanger, thanks for that as well! I hope that you will consider adding some type of sample based granular synth in the future.

Awesome!!! Can we get an update in the sequencer to filter the view by bank, like only see/edit bank A etc , A&B , or A&C&D etc.. . Would really help with accidentally editing notes in the wrong bank cause of touchscreen
And If possible a "save as" option that auto names it from like "project1" to "project2" to "project3" etc...

You need to update the app to get it - update from App Store or Google play then reopen koala. If it’s still not there, reboot device to give your os a kick up the butt

That logo at the end that looks like a device? I would buy that in a heartbeat! Oled pads that show the waveform? Physical knobs? Usb C, 3.5 midi, Bluetooth? audio in, out, mic, all the size of an iPhone? Yes please!!!!
