    Wow you're able to walk again fast! 🎉 great work! I'm 7 weeks post op from tibfib fracture and ankle dislocation but I still cannot walk without crutches. Range of motion is still very limited either

      I was putting a lot of hours of pt in (I’m an exercise physiologist) so I made sure I kept on it!! 😂
      Are you in a boot still??

    I started walking 11 weeks after broken ankle and op. It was really scary. Remember to use the crutch on the opposite side. Wg my left ankle was injured, use the crutch in the right hand side. At 12 weeks I was walking without crutches. It is scary, trust yourself.

    This! This is what I have been looking for! I see so many videos of people walking with zero difficulty and I just want the reality of it.
    I just got the clear yesterday to start WBAT without my walking boot and I'm doing it, but it's helpful to see someone else overcome these difficulties.
    Thank you for this.
    Note: March 14, 2024 I suffered a Trimalleolar Fracture with Dislocation, ORIF on March 26, 2024 (1 plate, 9 screws), walking in boot fully unassisted by 8 weeks post op with no pain....but this directly on foot this is tough.
    Much like you I just tell myself to stop being a little b!tch and get it done. 😂 No, really I constantly remind myself to not listen to my mind, to trust my ankle, that I can do this.
    Thanks for this video

      Casey!! I wish you the best! Sounds like you and me were going through a bunch of similar issues. Make sure when you start walking that you are stretching your big toe back as much as possible. Also look at your calf does it seem to be firing? And what I mean by that is does it seem to be working when you go into a calf lift?

    I had surgery this day 4 weeks ago. 7 bones fractured. My mental health is not good as I am non weight bearing also, stuck in bed as my wrists started getting sore using crutches and living alone up a stairs I cant get down. That looks so painful, not looking forward to that. Hope you are doing a lot better now

      @TheHealthyYinzer Thanks for replying. Still in a bit of pain scared that the bones won't set right. Did you worry about that too?

    I had a weber c fracture ankle dislocation when someone mf tackled me from behind in soccer. Its been 12 weeks and I’ve been non load bearing yet. I’ve been told to start putting load slowly slowly and i have begun it. Its too difficult and ankle just don’t have any range of motion. I feel awful.

      Damn we are basically dealing with the same thing. I was hit from behind (slide tackle playing hockey) of course I was going full speed and he smashed into the lake that was on the ground. How’s your progression going so far?

      @@TheHealthyYinzer I walking with kane right now. When i wear shoes i walk without kane. Physiotherapy is going on. I guess ill be walking without kane in next couple of days. And i guess my limping will be 95 percent down by next week. Im hoping to recover as fast as possible but it depends on my ankle to. It pains a lot when there is lots of strain on it. So i don’t go too rigorously in it. What would you suggest?

    I found this footage in my old iPhone and tried to splice it together. I was also high on pills filming (hence my face being cut out of half the video and the dopy look at the end) lol. It is what it is...

    Brother i have trimalleolar surgery before 1.5 month when u have full weight on your ankle after surgery??

    • @TheHealthyYinzer
      @TheHealthyYinzer  3 месяца назад

      You’ll have full weight in a couple months but the issue is going to be full impact on that specific ankle joint. That’s where the issue lies. How does it feel right now?

      And how are you today can you walk for long distance

    • @TheHealthyYinzer
      @TheHealthyYinzer  4 месяца назад

      You will be able to walk again. It it’s important to give it time! You need to heal. Running is no longer an option. If I had to I guess I could but it’s nothing I want to do. The pain is there every day but it’s not as bad as what you are feeling right now
