If vingegaard was 100% this tour would’ve been so entertaining man. Sucks but it’s a part of cycling, hopefully they both make it to the next tour safely.
Pogi also said in the interview that Urska hates the course, because she knows that he will take risks and he loves to descend. When they ride together, he casually steers the ride in the direction of recon climbs and rails the descents much to her dissatisfaction 😅
Pog descending at 93kmph and on the extension bars!, the moto cameraman even filmed motorbike speedo as it was with disbelief! Thanks for the best commentary on the Tour. 🙏
Will also be interesting to see how much Tadej can improve as well, now that he is apparently taking his training seriously for the first time in his career.
Imagine telling someone at the beginning of the year Pog would win 12 grand tour stages (could've been 13 if he beat Jonas in that sprint) and would beat the runner up in the Giro by nearly 10 mins and 6 mins in the Tour. His season is insane to think about: 80km solo win at Strade, 4 stage + gc at Catalunya, 30km solo attack at LBL, 6 stages + gc at Giro, 6 stages + gc at the TDF. And there's a chance he's not done; he still has opportunities at the Olympics and Lombardia.
The way Pog mentioned the chips attack in his speech and the Peter Sagan remembrace celebration with the cup in the end were the highlights of the day for me
Despite the crash, a great TT by Mateo and a fantastic Tour overall. This season has definitely proven that Mateo is a true force to be reckoned with in the future.
Remco had a really good tour. Rode disciplined throughout. Mostly rode his own tempo in the high mountains and avoided cracking. Finishng only 3 minutes behind Vingegaard is very very good in his first real battle with the two galacticos. Makes me feel that Remco could likely challenge them for real next year. Pogacar was superhuman this year. The most dominating win I have ever seen in the 35 years or so I have watched the TdF. But there is no guarantee that he will be this strong next year. Kudos to Jonas for giving it his all and finishing second despite his terrible injury. Hopefully he will be at full strength next year to challenge Pogi.
Has to be said: absolutely horrendous coverage today. There were no time checks on screen for T1. We saw Jorgenson and Gee maybe five times total. Jorg's crash wasn't live as we were watching guys warming up. Ciccone, fighting for a top 10, had an absolute shocker and the only time we saw him was in the background of Gee at T2. We watched Bardet hydrating after he'd finished for about five minutes. A dreadful viewing experience.
@@NASCARorbascarpeople He started taking his training seriously this year, for the first time in his career. You're seeing him at 100% of his potential. Also, Jonas had a massive accident, was in the ICU for two weeks, then had a very short prep time leading up to the Tour-yet he was able to absolutely crush everyone else except Tadej. That seems like a far more suspicious result than someone who's just always been better than his peers since he was 15.
