I just broke up with my girlfriend of two years, and we've both been going out and meeting new people and this song is exactly how it feels. You want to get over someone by going out and trying to forget them with someone new, however, it doesn't work that easily. You put this front up as if everything is alright, but underneath it still hurts to even think about them.

@@josephl6289 I wonder if they ended up getting back together. Otherwise, I hope Phil is okay after all this time. The pain of losing “the one” can last for decades. I’m happily married for almost 30 years and I love my husband fiercely, but there are still times when I think of my ex from my 20’s and get a stab of pain in my abdomen. I go back (no pun intended ;) to a little box of memories that I put into the back of the attic of my mind. I don’t ruminate on it, It lasts a few minutes, I shake it off and realize how blessed I am, and forget him again for very long stretches of time…
By the way I’ve probably watched this video 200 times, it doesn’t remind me of him, but I understand that feeling. This is Kenny Chesney’s best song in my opinion. Take care.

This song is timeless. I admit this is my favorite Kenny Chesney song. I keep it on my play list and for years play it daily. KC'S vocals, writing, musicians and management ser the bar in Country Music. I tell you, you have to tune in to Kenny's music. This music is pure, and full of life.

I keep coming back again and again to this song. The studio version hurts just as much. It's that moment..... That moment when your by your self and that song comes on...or your sitting somewhere and that person comes into your mind....that late night on the couch and that memory comes back...again. It pulls at your heart like nothing else. For a moment there is no air in the room. You can't breathe. That moment when your with that crowd and they come into your mind and then move to your heart. And you realize...that you missed it. You let them slip away. That they were....at that moment. The one. That's this song. It takes my mind to that moment...when I miss them so.

This song brings back that feeling. Like you get punched in the stomach and you can’t breathe. But nobody punched you. You just remember all the good times. When you didn’t know that they were good times and down the road in life you would miss the fun and sex you had and the joking around just being carefree.

Wow!!!! I was on my way home when I heard this on the radio - made a u-turn, went into Wal-mart and purchased the CD. KC keeps me confused - first I thought "Me and You" was my favorite, next it was "Back Where I Come From", then it was "A Lot of Things Different" and "Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven" and now this. He brings to life whatever he sings. Such a beautiful talent.

I can't get enough of this song...makes me sad yet happy at the same time. I've never had a song bring tears to my eyes, but this one did it. I want Melissa back. I'm 18 and we went out for 20 months. I don't care how many people say i'm too young to know, but she was the perfect one for me. I'm somewhere with her even when my eyes are open.
