    The Eagles are legendary. I remember hearing their music in the 70s and not knowing who they were but the songs were on the radio and always soothing. In the 80s as a teen loved Glenn Frey and later realised he was a part of that band and got reintroduced to their music again. It brought back memories of my fav aunt who died in 1990, she was a constant with her nieces and nephews in the 70s and 80s so when I hear their music and bands that had hits then, the memories come crashing back on me. It's so soothing to remember those times with her and my cousins

    Timothy B Schmidt. That voice, clear, tender and romantic. My favorite “Eagle”. Joined the band in 1977 after Randy Meisner quit, as bass and vocals. Quiet gentle man. He stands on the left end of the front line… steady, honorable, loyal and so very talented. He also wrote and sings Love Will Keep Us Alive, from the Hell Freezes Over tour. You guys would love that one. His voice and style is unmistakable.
    RIP Glenn Frey.

    • @ErnieDouglas
      @ErnieDouglas 2 года назад

      Yeah... Timothy Schmidt sings "Love Will Keep Us Alive" but he didn't write it. Paul Carak (solo artist/singer/songwriter/keyboardist, Ace/"How Long", Squeeze/"Tempted", Mike & The Mechanics/"Living Years") wrote it with Jim Capaldi & Peter Vale.
      Paul may have the best male pop voice of the 70's & 80's. He's sung lead & back up, and/or played keys/Hammond organ on too many other great artist albums too count. I saw last fall he was playing Hammond organ & singing backup vocals for Eric Clapton when he went out for a short tour.

You two are onto something on the interpretation of the song, and I would like to add to it by saying along with his unconditional love and loyalty, .. he's TORN. He talks of all the pain and discord going on but he can't get himself to leave. Torn between the logical, the loyally, fear, hope ...etc. Either way he can't tell her why ..like a NO WORDS kinda thing...it just is 🤔 Yes definitely an UNCONDITIONAL thing💝. Anyway good stuff!!! They had multiple singers in the Eagles group. Singing lead on this song is Timothy Schmidt, but I'm a fan of all the Eagles songs/music and solo projects! ❤️🤗

    I really appreciate the way you folks listen to the lyrics. To me lyrics are the song and the melody just helps set the mood.

    This was the only song I ever had the guts to sing at a Karaoke Bar. And I was completely sober! Put my heart into it and even got a couple of compliments.
