Hey! What do you think you do differently to get 3 weeks of wear? I just bought this & have a 1 1/2 yr old son, so I am trying to make these last!! Lol
Tish Mechelle’ I made the mistake not buffing it enough so give it a go, but make sure to seal it with activator. You may have done too thick of a layer so that's why it may be thick
@@CathyR-z7y uh no! Yes its important since it kinda just seals everything in place. You can try to not use it but maybe your results might not last as long 🥺
@@chathupama1429 its totally up to you! If you want to use alcohol or not. I sometimes skip that step. If your nail polish remover has acetone or alcohol in it just use a small amount
I was thinking about getting these and if I do I will definitely watch this tutorial!! Ttsm for the tutorial! I have a question.... can you use any colorful polish and paint them....?
Thank you! 😌 & yes there is but depending on where you live it might be a different stores. I bought a glitter powder at Walmart when I travelled to the US.
Hi! So I recently tried out this kit and this was my first time ever doing my own nails with a kit. I used my sensational (the brand name) UV nail lamp to do my gel nail polish after the last step of putting on activator. For some reason after i finished all the gel nail polish steps with the lamp my nails were still not dried down and I continued putting it under the lamp but it was still a bit tacky... what’s your order when it comes to putting on a gel nail polish color at the end? Do you put a base gel coat on, then UV, then the gel nail polish, UV, then gel coat, UV? Sorry I’m still learning so hopefully this wasn’t too confusing.
mmmay hey so firstly I made sure my nails were fully dried after using the activator. So depending on the gel polish sometimes ill use a base coat cure, then use the colour I want and cure..then last a top coat if required and then cure. Hopefully that gave you an idea of what I generally do I’ve never experienced what you did.. it is possible you did it too soon after and the acrylic wasn’t fully dried yet sorry to hear that 😖 I have also realized some gel lamps aren’t as strong and you may have to cure for longer than recommended . All the best moving forward
xoStylingwithSarah thank you for responding! Those are all really great points!!! I never thought about the lamp playing a part!! I’ll have to try curing it longer next time 💕
For longer wear Skip the alcohol to cleanse nails after buffing use 100% acetone then use 2 coats of Red Carpet Manicure's Prep Max Adhesion Sanitizer waiting in between each coat so nails turn chalky DO NOT TOUCH THEM DURING THIS TIME!! I also add a third layer of brush on gel/glue and another layer of powder, activate, file go easy on the drill here its very easy to take too much off, then activate again, here I add a step wipe nails with saturated alcohol pad to remove excess activator because it will make the gel/glue brush harden. If you're using the tips which you did do add extra gel/glueand powder where the tip meets the natural nail this is your apex and main stress point. Also make sure cuticles are trimmed and not ragged as the gel/glue will lift straight away if it gets on skin so definitely use the manicure stick they give you!
STORM Thanks for this tip! I'll definitely use this next time. I personally don't like to trim my cuticles lol it makes my stomach weak 😂 but maybe I'll try it to help them to last longer 🤞🏾
Yes of course! It would definitely work 😊 just be sure your nail tips you have on already get filed/buffed a bit so they have a better surface to adhere to
@@CeeDubz yes apply the nail tip as you usually would. It will just make the nail tips a bit stronger when you use this kit. Is it a tip similar to the ones shown or just a full press on nail?
I mentioned how long it lasted for me at 6:34 . Everyone's experience will be different though..You can get away with a week or more but theres many factors to consider. Life style..work..nailbed.. nail prep
Jennifer Bowers I dont see why not, I do have a colour powder as well now I dont know if its the same formula but if it says its acrylic then it will work

It really depends! Some people it may last longer then others. Daily activities play a factor as well. It lasted longer then a week for me maybe 10 days :)
Hey! I haven't experienced that happening only until the very end like after a week of having them on. They would eventually start to chip from wear and tear. In the case its chipping or cracking early on that means theres about 2 problems. Cracking - the layer wasn't thick enough and maybe you filed it down too far or did thin coats . Chipping off - could mean there wasn't enough activator or glue. If it didnt set long enough could be a factor too. It has weak spots since the activator holds and seals everything together you must put enough on. You always want to make a strong enough nail . If it feels and looks super thin it probably wont last. I hope that helps :)

Before painting them with polish! Just make sure you always add the activator after buffing. It will seal everything together
You are awesome thanks again
💕💕😊 aw so kind thanks girl !
can you do this on your own nails without adding fake nails
