my mom will not let me get acrylics, but next weekend is my friends birthday so she decided to let me get some with them. She told me it was going to be the only time, because she doesn’t want to be paying $70 every two weeks. She told me that if I want long nails I would have to learn how to do them on my own. So this is very helpful, thanks a lot!
I just did mine ! Definitely not a professional but they’re better than what they looked all grown out lol. The pollish is super strong smelling though.
I have used this kit and the system lasts longer than the kits I bought at Sally. I have had my nails for about 2 weeks and they still look spectacular!
I am tired of going to the nail salon and paying big bucks when I can do it at home for only 12dollars. And it seems pretty easy and looks so pretty. And secure. Getting me a kit. Thank you
I have this kit. I don’t need the tips but I’m going to use the dip powder sometime today. I’m nervous! I miss getting my nails done!!!! Edit! It’s done and for my first time I think it looks pretty good!!
Firefly yes base coat, but i also like to always keep a structure gel on them or a few layers of clear dip powder to make them extra strong since i have pretty weak nails :)
Excellent tutorial. Wonderful sequencing, smooth video, calming voice, Couldn't be better. Now, I think, with a little practice I can do this too. Thank you.
Thats why i got it just now if it work well I will b so happy im a stay at home mom and I HATE asking my husband for 30+ dollars to get my nails done. I feel so selfish especially during these times Idk if i even can get them dome tbh. so before covid i only got them for special occasions this will legit be like a present that just keeps on giving lol.
the best thing i would recommend doing is keeping them protected with product! this is how i’m able to grow them out strong. also apply cuticle oil daily!
That's a pretty periwinkle blue. I'm gonna try this kit instead of spending over $100 on Kiara sky, I don't need nail tech size bottles, just for occasional personal use. This one looks like a winner for my needs! Thanks!
It's not too hard. Used this kit yesterday. However, you have to let nail dry for like 15 seconds b4 you dust off powder or you will get ridges in your nails.
I’ve been keeping up with my nails during quarantine, it’s been very therapeutic. I wanna learn the dip method because my regular nail polish only lasts about a week.
Love the silver holographic you have on your thumb - what is that? I'm assuming it isn't a dip nail. Do you have a tutorial for that? Enjoyed your tutorial for dip nails! Thank you.
You explain everything so perfectly! And thank you for the info about the makeup brush, I was struggling getting the powder to dust away with the provided sponge. Wonderful video, your nails look so good!
Yes. Its definitely something Special about kiss nail dip. But I'm really enjoying these nail tutorials. It makes a big difference and we can have pretty nails at l times. Thanks everyone.
Excellent video. Ty for the info. I really like how they came out. I normally do my dip nails on my natural nails but I had to cut them back drastically. I have had good success with leaving the top/base coat off and just using my favorite top coat of regular nail polish. For anyone who was wondering.
Late to the party! But I just bought this kit because I have very very long nature nails and just broke off my thumb on one hand and pinky on the other so I wanted something to replace them until they grow back. Question: if you wanted to could you paint normal nail polish over it after you are done with the dip?? Wondering because I have my favorite Ella+Mila nail polishes and I’d love to be able to do that!
yes you can totally apply regular polish over dip! i would either recommend buffing the surface of the dip powder super smooth before polish application, or applying a gel top coat on top of the dip before polish application. both methods should work great!
Also helps if you point your finger downwards while applying. So the gel/polish speads down the nail, instead of seaping onto the cuticle if that makes sense. Just something that has helped me
Okay so I’ve done my nails three times with this kit. Every time I can’t seem to get my cuticle area as neat and they always end up bulky and on my skin. You are making me want to try again now lol
if that’s a struggle for you, i would recommend taking an orange wood stick or a small dotting tool and running it along the cuticle area after dipping to remove any on the skin and make a nice clean line.
I take a cotton ball soak it in acetone and wrap it in foil. It took about 15 mins to get all the dip off from this kit. But there are a lot of videos on how to get them off. Oh, file the top layer off first.
Absolutely love Kiss products and for years now I have used the Kiss full nail glue ons.. Either the clear and apply polish or Pre painted. Mine last several weeks no matter what I'm doing with my hands they never pop off. I've learned the right amount of glue to apply and I prepare my nail bed like you do for acrylics.. So I get a good adhere with no bubbles. It's about $8.00 a box and I'm able to use the smaller sizes left over, on my toes! Apply same way and trim down to perfect length. I get compliments all the time on both. People are shocked when I tell them they are Glue ons! I get them at Walgreens or Walmart. They are strong and just as tough to remove as Acrylic or dip. I used to do my own acrylics but was so time consuming. These are perfect and take less than 30 Mins. You can apply a different color over them if you want a change before needing to remove them and you can also just let them grow out and use dip to fill in the growth like you would at a salon. I do my daughters nails that way also. Saves Money, Saves time and nice alternative. Makes it easy for treating yourself to something pretty without breaking your budget. I do not use any of the Press on one's with glue tabs those don't stick well. Only use Kiss glue also. I always have nice and very sturdy nails. 💅🏼 Beauty on a budget. 😉 Kiss products are excellent.
I really appreciate you making this video! the instructions are well done and really easy to follow. I have a big problem with my eyesight, and I just could NOT read the tiny tiny print of the paper instructions. Thank you for reading them for me and doing the review/tutorial!
Just finished using this kit I used the with tip and they are awesome, I normally use the kiss brush on gel kit, I found this one the smaller size tho at family dollar it only comes with the gel, activator, power and Xtra brush..$7..I am very pleased..I stopped salons about 6yrs I just order my supplies
Best tutorial on RUclips. Thanks so much. I had issues with the powder being thick and blotchy when I used the color powder. Also when I try to wipe off excess I had issues with color coming off on the sponge. Any suggestions?
Ro Go thanks so much! when using the color, make sure to apply a nice even thin layer and that will help with the uneven spots. as far as the powder coming off on the sponge, i recommend making sure the nails are fully dry before wiping over them, and also possibly using a soft brush instead because it is less likely for the powder to get messed up if that makes sense. hope that helps! :)
Ive got the same kit but it didnt come with the powder since it was empty there was only a bit for one finger so than I figured it out 9n my own without the powder but also awesome video!!
I like your video. Its so amazing how your nails turned out. I tried out the kit as well and I think its definitely worth to buy it. I mean the nails turn out great and its so easy.
OMG they're so pretty. What's the pink color you have on at the beginning of the video?? It's gorgeous 😍. Btw this kit is what I'm starting out using to do mine at home. Hopefully they turn out as pretty as yours. TFS 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
So I guess I forgot to buff mine out after shaping. I reapplied the base coat as it said but they are dull and not shinny look really bad. Can I just put a clear coat of regular polish on it? To make it shinny?
@@katesnails thanks I went back and buffed out the nails and applied the first polish and it works good I am pleased for my first time thanks for the advice
Your natural nails are sooooo pretty!! I wish I had nails like you 😫🥰
my mom will not let me get acrylics, but next weekend is my friends birthday so she decided to let me get some with them. About to try this, day 15 of quarantine and my Sns manicure nails have grown so much that is time for a change
I had to take mine off. Now I have sad nails :(
I tried this. The glue was super strong for me😷. First try was a super fail, but I will try again tomorrow.
Renee sanz facts I’m fina go get it now
I just did mine ! Definitely not a professional must better than what they looked all grown out lol. The polling is super strong smelling though.
I just did mine ! Definitely not a professional but they’re better than what they looked all grown out lol. The pollish is super strong smelling though.
I LOVED my kit! So easy and fast and 12$ instead of the 50$-70$ I get my nails done for
How long did it take for both nails?
I just tried this dip set. I used clear and left them natural. They turned out beautiful 😍. You did a great job here with color 👍👌👏
Am I the only one who like loves her voice? Ik it’s kinda weird, but ur voice to me is so satisfying and relaxing 😅😂🤣💖
I went to a salon and got this exact color last year and hated how it didn’t look as natural as yours ugh , wine 🍷 Netflix and diy from now on !!!
I have used this kit and the system lasts longer than the kits I bought at Sally. I have had my nails for about 2 weeks and they still look spectacular!
you’re natural nails are goals and beautiful!
You alright
This is the best tutorial you've done since I've been watching you. It was very thorough. Every step was explained. I really appreciated it. Good job.
I am tired of going to the nail salon and paying big bucks when I can do it at home for only 12dollars. And it seems pretty easy and looks so pretty. And secure. Getting me a kit. Thank you
Save your money girl! You could use that money for clothes or food
@@evansky8317 or nails 😭
I do this all the time lol love saving money, but you taught me something new I didnt know Walmart sold the colors, new subscriber here 🙋♀️
So before the different colors did u just do polish on top ?
A Perez i was wondering the same thing are we aloud to do polish on top or does it have to be powder
I have this kit. I don’t need the tips but I’m going to use the dip powder sometime today. I’m nervous! I miss getting my nails done!!!!

G.E Xo just maintenance and i always make sure to have a protective layer on them!
@@katesnails protective layers? like base coat?
Firefly yes base coat, but i also like to always keep a structure gel on them or a few layers of clear dip powder to make them extra strong since i have pretty weak nails :)
G.E Xo I know right
@@katesnails Thank you for the idea,i've been trying to find something to strengthen my nails now I know 👍
I've been wanting to try dip nails. Just bought this set today based on how well you explained the process!
Excellent tutorial. Wonderful sequencing, smooth video, calming voice, Couldn't be better. Now, I think, with a little practice I can do this too. Thank you.
I’m planning on getting this bc getting acrylics every month is just too expensive when I can just buy this kit

Such a good, easy-to-follow, instructional tutorial! Love! I’m in the mood to dip some nails now!
I love how you explained everything so happy can't wait to try this!!!
how do you keep your nails so healthy? This is really giving me motivation to stop biting my nails cause I really want to do them like you do :)

Is it just me or her voice is really soothing and aesthetically pleasing
EL MEJOR yes. My cat and my dog fell asleep to her voice. Lol
I was thinking the exact opposite. The way she chops the words apart is annoying to me.
annreeves77 I think it’s her inflections. The way she ends her sentences goes up. And she goes up at random points in her train of thoughts
It’s like every couple of words has a high tone to it. So annoying.
Y’all sdfu , did y’all come on here to be judgeful or for a tutorial please make me remember 🤔
OMG that’s looks great for 12$ ME:I going to buy that kit now
mine was $5.98 at target
Ditto
This stuff ruined my nails ! It will be next fall before my nails recover
Eyes knows all what happened
I literally just ordered a €30 one that had half the stuff this one has

Absolutely beautiful nails!! I love them!! Thank you for showing us how to do our own nail tips! It will save us a lot of money. ❤
I can’t believe I’ve been buying press-ons!!
That's How I feel
Same lol I just purchased this kit yesterday on amazon
Same I just bought this kit from cvs
I agree that they turned out great, especially considering the price point!! Question though.....how the hell do you get them off?
File the top layer and wrap your nails with an acetone nail polish remover for 10 minutes. Then scrape off the polish and repeat till done x
I clip the length off if they are long and soak them 15 min in soak off from walmart.
I love the Kiss dip system. I need to get the blue. I love the red and silver. They are both really pretty.
Your presentation was great...your step by step was very easy to follow, and your style was excellent!

When I do mine at home I can never get the part near the cuticle as neat as yours! Any tips?
Desira Langley try to be as precise as you can, keep the layers thin, and try to wipe any product off the cuticle area before dipping :)
Also helps if you point your finger downwards while applying. So the gel/polish speads down the nail, instead of seaping onto the cuticle if that makes sense. Just something that has helped me
Not sure why this video is in my queue but I love the intro music. Super cool.
I’m on lockdown now because of the Covid19 right now. My nails are a freakin mess!! This looks perfect! Thank You🙏🏾
Great video this kit is my favorite...it works really good for the price 👑
how long do these stay on? also does the light pink come out as a light pink?
update: I got the kit and have had my nails for a week already!
they last around 3-4 weeks and the light pink is a very sheet almost clear tinted pink color. so it isn’t completely opaque.
katesnails thanks sm for replying!!!! i am thinking about getting this kit!!!
