The quiet peaceful atmosphere of the forest is what we love the most. It never fails to recharge our batteries. Come along with us, and feel the power of nature for yourselves 💚

Hello Peter and Tommy. I really appreciated this walk. I’m physically limited so I don’t get to do this as often as I’d like to but this allowed me to enjoy the foliage. Right now it's 30° C here but when I saw Tommy's face with his feet submerged in cold water it gave me chills.
Stay calm Peter, we all managed to feel the smell of the autumn air, only Tommy couldn't.

i love so much this nature videos my favourite part of our Europe is fact we have so much green areas. And it is is so safe, only danger are wild boars, wolves or bears in some areas. or to get lost.
Yes, and often we don't even realize it. Only when we were in Canada or the US and there were mountain lions, so much more bears, to the south rattle snakes and I don't know what, only then we realized that people often speak of danger in nature and stuff like that. There is so much more wilderness, big areas without phone signal, crazy weather, people get lost and they just die somewhere... Our nature is like walking in fairytales 😊
@@tommyandpeter yup and no creeps around, no serial killers and stuff.. you have more chances to be abduct by aliens than harmed by other human in our forests. Ok lets face it parts of Croatia and Bosnia are dangerous, mountain Forrest's and mountains, from Bob cats to bears and wolves. Some river areas have cagljeve (something like coyote) and coast and some islands. But that can only happen if you stumble into their "living room" or walk during night without proper equipment, otherwise nope nothing can happen, but still nature and wild animals ask for caution and respect. Here wild boards can be dangerous.

What a wonderful fall walk you guys shared with us.
The fruit you guys talked about. Reminded me of the sugar pears that grew on my grandparents' farm. It had freeze on them. Or you could break a tooth off. Plus, they had no flavor at all. But once we had a freeze. They became soft and as sweet as sugar. It was funny as kids we waited all summer to eat them. But they were terrible until fall.

In my wood, Draved, in South West Jutland, you can also smell autumn . It is somewhat spicy and peaty. I love that so much.

Was it really two years since your altercation with those wild boars? Time flies. That was a lovely, gentle ramble in the woods boys. And how my heart sang to hear Peter pouring out the word ‘autumn’ over and over again, he even managed a rendition of ‘autumny’. 😉🇬🇧 I bet that water was cold. It looked it. Peter, I too have my own ‘Tommy’ and his hugs are the best. You should pick some Sloe berries and add them to Gin .1/3 Gin ,1/3 Sugger ,1/3 Sloe berries prick the berries put in the dark for three months this will make a good winter drink .Turn st bottle every week for best results .

Hello Tommy and Peter . No , not really you can buy Sloe Gin in a good supermarket .Some of my cousins grew up on farms and did make wonderful home made drinks . Now grow a Marrow on the compost heap once its quite big put a jar of suggar water next to it and use a heavy wool and thread through the stem to make it grow very big. Pick ,cut off he top scoop out all the seeds(use a old spoon bend it ) Fill with Demerara suggar and Brandy put back the top use cocktail sticks to hold it on. Use a string bag to hold it . Put it in the barn.3 months later drill a hole in the bottom to drain you should have a powerful drink . good luck .@@tommyandpeter

Oooooh. Buckthorn is an invasive plant in the US. Nasty stuff gets in forests and covers the undergrowth. The birds spread the seeds everywhere. I spend a lot of time pulling it out of my yard. Do you guys have to spend much time figuring out the English name for plants like buckthorn?
Hi, luckily it's not that hard figuring out the names with the internet 😊 This one with the blue fruits that we showed is blackthorn though, not buckthorn. Buckthorn is a completely different plant family 😉 The invasive buckthorn you refer to is Rhamnus cathartica in Latin. Our blackthorn is Prunus spinosa, not invasive at all 😁 To make it more confusing, there is also 'sea buckthorn' which is also again something completely different - we have some of them in our garden, shrubs with sour orange fruits, containing a lot of vitamin C, we showed them in one of our summer garden videos 🙂
