1 year into EQS AMG. The car is a dream. Simply outstanding. And about the looks, I can’t go anywhere without people stopping me to ask me about the car. Often they honk at me at a red light to ask me questions. Even kids sometimes scream to their parents to look at this car. It sure is a show stopper. Those who say that it is ugly, man I do not get it. It is gorgeous. I have had zero issues with it, even while driving in Canada weather all winter long. I did burst 2 tires. Our roads are just beyond horrible, especially in Montreal. 22 inch wheels are not made for these roads, but they are very sexy and so I am still on them. Mercedes replaced them free of charge, so that was nice and now I learned to slow down when the roads look more like off roading than actual asphalt. The launch mode at 750 hp is a real catapult. A 6000 pound scar going to 100kph in 3 seconds is a real feat of engineering. This car gets zero complaints from me.
I don't like the way these groups and the government are FORCING EVs on us whether we want them or not . If somebody wants a diesel let them have a diesel ,someone wants a hybrid let them have a hybrid . If you're happy I'm happy you enjoy your in good health and safe driving .
Completely agree, I have the amg eqe, cars been phenomenal and never experienced tech like it before. It’s a rocket and interior is 2nd to none. First EV and the transition has been a breeze. Home charging is so cheap.

You don’t need to install new electrics for a supercharger. Just get a charger installed. In fact new building regs in uk they are now standard on new homes (7kw). Embrace the change so many narrow mindedness. That’s the problem with most comments you get in EVERY Ev video. Limited range what 400 miles, 320 on eqe. Just need to plan, the charge network is great. Depreciation same with all new tech, the initial purchaser always pays more. Why would it differ. I have had my eqe amg now for 3 months and was ordered jan 24. The transition to EV was fantastic. THE MAJOR PROBLEM WITH HIGH END EV’S IS SIMPLY AFFORDABILITY. I've never understood what's people's issue with the looks of this car. It's streamlined, smooth, gentle - a welcome change in the world of cars that are either blocky or look as if they were trying to immitate someone puffing their cheeks.
Just 36m leased 2024 EQS450+ 2 months ago, after swearing 6 months ago that I would never own one. Okay ,technically I don't own it and felt leasing would be safer & less costly. Looking at the BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front), I LOVE IT! What I didn't realize before was 1) No waiting in line at the gas station, pumping gas in the rain/snow/heat or being out of the car exposed to any bad people ( I charge it at home only so far). 2) no engine noise or tranny shifting (it was weird at first). 3) Fun to drive, and there are sooo many really cool features! 3) The "S" Class seating/interior & MBUX dash are awesome! People who see it are drooling over it! 4) It has PLENTY of power to the wheels! No slouch in traffic either! 5) There are many more POSITIVES that I did not realize before experiencing it, it really blew away most of the common opinions most people have of EV's will evolve as gas cars have. I think most of us hated the mandate from our Federal Government FORCING US to buy them. Fortunately the EV mandate will no longer apply, and they will stand on their own as a choice in the USA .
Had a 2022 for a year. Liked it but traded. Just traded a 2023 I bought 10 months ago before the EV market crashed and lost 50% - Traded for the S class of SUVs and Love it. GLS450

I contacted 5 of them, made them fight each other for this deal. Dealership was so upset when I walked out with this. Crocodile tears.
I recently bought and EQB used 1 year old with 40% depreciation. Low miles as well and the wife loves it. That’s the biggest reason to buy these…wait it out for the price cuts cause they want to move these units.
A new one with no miles also sells for 40% off msrp after taking into account the incentives which you don't get with a used model. Evs are only worth leasing new for this reason
I like the look. The cost is out of my range but I am hoping the used market will provide me some options in a couple of years. I have an executive car service and would love to offer an EQS option (esp the executive package)
I leased a 2023 EQS SUV 450 4MATIC. I think that the truck is beautiful, I find myself admiring it inside my garage 😊. I love the shape and all the technology and interior materials that Mercedes used. The car has great pick up without scrambling your brain. I probably should have gone with the EQE SUV because of the size but, mine has all wheel steering and I wanted that feature. I have a GLC300 and sold my GLE350 to get the EQS SUV, nice to keep one gas car in the house. I’m very satisfied with the vehicle and miss it when my wife is driving it.
If I was going electric car the Kia ev6 gt is my choice it doesn’t look far off from a regular suv coupes which I love over regular box style SUVs. The Porsche taycan is nice as well.
Adding the emblem to the hood and changing the grill doesn’t change the car. Thinking that these changes will change sales numbers is unrealistic. They’re simply too expensive.

They're practically giving these things away but only those that know how to finesse the system and know about leasing will buy these vehicles. Masses have no idea how to hack these cars and they simply ignore them due to high MSRPs.

Mercedes has been around for a long time, and is a top flight car company. The interior is pretty much flawless. That said, the drivability of the car is so-so. It is masked by the air suspension, which gives a comfortable ride, but everything else about the driving of this car is mid-level. The car is slow, unresponsive, and lacks real range compared to upstart Lucid. For the price of this car, AND the reputation of the company behind it, this does not meet the standard. After driving both, I went with Lucid. Both because I preferred the Lucid and to promote the bold innovations Lucid made to their motors and their approach to vehicle design. The Lucid fits more comfortably in my garage, has less wear on the tires, charges faster, runs longer, drive's better and is very comfortable inside. There's risk going with an upstart, but so far the decision has been rewarded. I expect that Mercedes will adjust and catch up. Other car companies will have more difficulty.

I’m my opinion the problem is the proportions on the exterior shape, the bonnet is too short and round, the same with the back, the length of the glassed area is too long for the total length of the vehicle, it has the shape of a cockroach, and that gorgeous interior and finishes are outstanding, but when you buy a car in that price range you want a car that looks powerful and strong, not a water bubble in the wind, in my opinion, that is, I’m not trying to convince anyone, but, the sales are saying that there’s something wrong with the car, from my point of view, the only issue is the exterior shape, because quality is as expected, technology and interiors are outstanding as expected, the only problem is the exterior shape, it does not say, “here I am” and on the other hand is very hard to distinguish from his little brother the EQE
Sales are reflected on the price. The Eqs goes upto nearly £160,000 and start at £115,000 approx. It’s cutting edge tech but it’s not affordable to nearly everyone. I honestly cannot fault the eqe. I’ve had my amg eqe for a few months, simply outstanding car. Doesn’t quite corner like other Amg’s but understand the weight distribution is a little off which I am sure will sort eventually on future designs. Tech as I said and interior 2nd to none.
Environmentally friendly when only a fool would buy a used one. Maybe after a few years they can be crushed and turned into washing machines and fridges. Not sure what they do with the old battery, maybe dump it at the local council park after midnight 😎

is very ugly car, looks completely rubbish they should install this technology fully electric in S Class just like BMW did with 7 Series one shape with option full electric or with fuel,,, instead of making this ugly EQS!!!!!
