When we see Nimona in her “scary” form, she tries to end her life. The way she does absolutely ruined me. She tried to end her life on Gloreths sword.
So many people think that trans people get worked up over random strangers opinions. It’s definitely a PART of the issue, but we are far more likely to end our life over rejection from those we care about. Our family- our friends. She tried to end her life on Gloreths sword. Her words. Her rejection.
And what saved Nimona? A friend. A queer friend. A father figure. No one understands how that scene literally broke me.
This scene absolutely broke me and my friend as well. We were watching it together and we're both trans. That scene absolutely broke me, and nothing has done that in such a long time.
i will never not tear up at that scene. genuinely such a heartbreaking visualization of trans suffering. GOD, Nimona is such a good movie.

theres something i’ve noticed about how some people express misogyny by hating anything they perceive as feminine. like yesterday my dad said he would never buy an iphone no matter how much money he had (which is fine) but what was the reason? because its a “girly phone”, so therefore it is bad. like how? but anyway, just because you think something is feminine doesn’t mean you have to hate it.
(also im not saying that men have to use “feminine” things, just saying that theres no reason to hate them, or hate that others do use them. sorry if this comment didn’t make much sense, just something i’ve observed.)

I remember one of my male cousins wanted a Barbie doll but grandma got him a Batman instead because he’s a boy. I was the opposite, a girl who liked Batman(but for some reason it’s fine to get a little girl Batman toys, but don’t you DARE give a Barbie doll to a boy) literally the stupidest thing ever ITS JUST A TOY GAHHH
No fr like my dad complains about stuff and most of the time it's because he thinks it's feminine. He complained about my brother taking a "long time" in the shower, not because he wanted to take a shower, but because he is showering "like a girl." He laughs when I go to K-pop concerts because in his head it's only something for teenage girls and that makes it funny(?). I've noticed that so much lately with him and it's so annoying because it's not based on anything that is personal to him, it's all a vague construct that he believes in.
And this applies to society as a whole, like how people are more quick and brutal when bullying fangirls (or people they assume are girls just because of their interests) but sports fans get to act wild and have intense relationships with teams, and no one says anything about it.
Sending love to the people who feel they aren’t queer enough to call themselves queer. It’s okay if you don’t know your label. It’s okay if you don’t want one. It’s okay if you’re in a cishet presenting relationship. It’s okay if you don’t want to medically transition. This community was built out of necessity to stay safe, it’s not some vip club you need to get into.
i’m defo not in that situation, but although a label is just a word, it also provides a community! and all of you are welcome to explore yourselves and put that label on you
i know im nonbinary or transmasc but i feel like because im afab and go by she and they pronouns that im just a cis white girl trying to be more oppressed especially because im dating a trans man and i just look like a woman,,, but i dont feel like a man even though i want to be perceived as more masculine :( can i be a trans masculine nonbinary person? i guess i may have some fear being perceived as a man because when i was 17 i was falsely accused of being a "almost 18 year old man who is grooming 12 year old girls" with the proof being that they reused my old instagram name that i changed because instagram used to not let other people have old names, and they sent themselves horrifically innapropriate messages, and then one message that confirmed it was a "friend" of mine that starting this because the screenshot was from our chat, where i confessed to having a crush on my friend who is *4 years older than me* but they scribbled out the name because everyone knew her, and said it was removed to "keep the victim safe" but no matter what i did people wouldnt believe me. even worse that i was also being manipulated by another "friend" who turned out to actually be the person who stole my old username and messaged themselves, and she was so popular no one would believe me, she lied constantly to me and confessed then lied and gaslighted me and it was just horrible. she lied about being r worded by one of our mutuals, said she got hacked said she went to a party and got assaulted etc to try to make me talk about my trauma too. once she knew she could weaponizeit against me thats when the pedo allegations came up. so i just left the account and stopped showing up to events because i was scared for my safety. ive never healed from it 6, 7 years later and still feel like im being stalked, and because i do have stalkers and people that absolutely despise me, that i just have to stay anonymous and as an artist it sucks because im not able to promote my art or take commissions. Meaning i have no job/income. And honestly it hurts pretty bad and all of it has really messed with my perception of being queer...
@@sexygirlmax2019 that sucks im so sorry that happened to you :(. and, to answer your question, you can totally be a transmasc non binary person!!! there are so many different ways to be trans and you shouldnt ever feel like you’re ‘not queer enough’ for not fitting a certain stereotype. + non binary isnt just they/them. you could use she/they and be non binary or he/it and be non binary, whatever. pronouns don’t equal gender! it can be hard to figure out and it’s totally fine if it takes you a while or even if you never find a label. maybe talking to some more trans people about their experiences with gender could help!! (and you don’t have to look a certain way to be trans! it can be hard when people don’t perceive you as what you want to be perceived as, but i recommend surrounding yourself with positive people who are super open to stuff like this and can help you on your journey!) good luck!! ^__^

Hey comrades! To go with the title i’ve been analyzing how my writing has changed with me, my current largest project started as a generic fantasy story but as I figured out that I’m queer and discovered leftism the story has changed to the main theme being that you’re not immune to propaganda. My OCs have also became more queer and stuff.
This is so random but more Percy Jackson characters should have disabilities like there are 2 entire camps with kids often sent on dangerous quest and have fought multiple wars and there are barely any disabled characters .
Most characters do have adhd and dyslexia but I just think it would make sense if at least a couple of them had physical disabilities

I'm scared that my intrusive thoughts will soon win, I have been a victim of bullying and torment for as long as I can remember since. I'm 13 now, and I feel like it's not going to be long till I reach my breaking point, and I snap. I have been trying to fight them off for a long time now, but I feel myself getting weaker and weaker, I can't bear to imagine myself in the back of a police car, getting a mugshot, In a court room, In jail. I can't do it anymore. Nobody is either bothering to let me get help, let alone offer any, I'm lost.
If you are making an actionable plan of violent action against yourself or others, call 911 or go to the hospital.
Please know that intrusive thoughts aren't gonna win. They are the opposite of what you want. That's why they are so strong. As someone with intrusive thoughts themself, it can be quite scary. You should call a mental health hotline. They can help you. If you are lgbtq you might want to look at one for queer youth. And if they put you on hold, just keep holding on.
Also, know that you will survive this. Maybe not soon but one day you will have contentment
I am so sorry that you feel like this, that you’re in this situation.
No matter what anyone says, any bully or unkind stranger, you do deserve love. You do deserve care. You do deserve to live a happy and fulfilling life. You do deserve to do things you enjoy, to feel good about yourself, to love yourself in all your beautiful glory.
I appreciate you, even if they don’t, and I hope you can find hope. Something to fight for. Coping mechanisms to be your sword and shield in this battle. I hope you find support, a safe place, a sanctum.

Hey, I’ve been in a similar boat as you, so I get it. If you don’t feel like reading this ramble that’s okay, I understand :)
First of all, I wanna say that you don’t deserve to be treated like that. Being bullied is a rotten feeling, isn’t it? Well you know what’s even more rotten than that feeling? The bullies themselves. They’re so insecure have such low self esteem that they feel like they have to take it out on other people. You’re still young, and I’m not saying that to patronize or invalidate you in any way. I’ve since graduated school and I have experienced my fare share of bullying in school, but It gets better with time, I promise you it does. I know it sounds corny and cliche, I didn’t actually believe it when people said things would get better with time but trust me, they do. In the meantime try reaching out to trustworthy adults such as parents, teachers, school counselors, etc. and I understand there are situations where those people can’t be trusted, so if you need to you can call a mental health hotline. I’ve dealt with intrusive thoughts as well. The reason why intrusive thoughts become so bad is because you don’t actually want to do whatever bad thing keeps popping up in your mind, but your subconscious hyperfixates on the bad thoughts in an attempt to keep them at bay, but it backfires, so the thoughts keep reappearing. The reason the intrusive thoughts keep coming back isn’t because you want to act on them, it’s because you DON’T want to act on them. I know that sounds very confusing and contradictory, but the human psyche as a whole is just that: confusing and contradictory. Modern medicine hasn’t even put a dent in figuring out how the human mind operates, and we most likely will never know the full extent of it. Just remember that you are not your thoughts, you don’t deserve to be treated like garbage by those idiots at school, and you are also stronger than you realize. Once you graduate you don’t ever have to see those dummies ever again. You are worth it, you are important, and most of all, you are loved🖤

I just finished watching Nimona with my sis, and IT’S AMAZING, LIKE, MY NEW FAVORITE MOVIE!! Here’s some things I have to say about it:
(spoilers if you haven’t seen the movie yet btw!!)
1. I play DnD and Nimona is definitely chaotic neutral/evil
2. Such a great allegory for being trans in the world we’re in today
3. That scene with Gloreth at the end… I was crying (basically the whole ending made me cry)
4. I KNEW SOMETHING WAS OFF WITH THE DIRECTOR FROM THE START
5. I really love the music! Definitely going in my playlist

It is such a beautiful book and you’ll both love it so much! It was absolutely the right choice for Rick Riordan to co author with Mark Oshiro because they bring such a confidence and authentic experience to the queer rep that Rick Riordan has never had on his own, even with characters that I love like Alex Fierro and Apollo.

Just finished my first day of school and oh boy..! We have to read a book called “The Capitalist Manifesto” in economics, my moral and political philosophy class is taught by the same guy teaching the economics class. Even better, my new Latin teacher told the single kid in the grade that uses AAVE that it is “uncivilized and makes you less intelligent” (a direct quote from her). The fact me and that kid were the only ones to realize her blatant racism was insane to me especially since she declared it to the entire classroom of 30+ kids. I also am making a prediction that I will have to debate my (trans+autistic) rights in philosophy. That’s Florida schools! :D
