Hi TIM, you are so kind, caring and compassionate. I love how you call each person you come in contact with by their first name, it really shows how you take the time to personalize your encounters with folks. You are a true gentleman, and your channel is a blessing.
Thank you again for your very kind comment 🙂. Really grateful to have met so many fantastic people in LA and California. Just overwhelmed with everyone reaching out and connecting during the trip and here on RUclips. Truly grateful for everything 😃
Two years ago I fell down the RUclips travel/food wormhole. I always pretend that I am the one traveling and eating this fantastic food (usually while eating a drab ham or tuna sandwich) . Hopefully if I make it to retirement in 8 years, I will be able to experience some of these adventures. I will say of all the videos I watch a week during my down time, your videos stand out. Your positivity and constant smiling is really refreshing in todays world.
Same food vids kept me alive the 8 months I was stuck in the hospital and rehabilitation with out my still young kids during COVID shutdowns so no vists allowed and not to mention how horrible hospital food is in general.
Be still my heart ❤. Matzoh ball soup, pastrami sandwich on rye and potato pancakes. Wow, Im drooling just watching you eat it. And then there was the seafood ...
As someone who lives locally I totally recommend going! Quick tip: Bring wet wipes for your table and hands, try the drinks, and definitely try as much food as you can! SO DELICIOUS!
I found Tim's interpretation of San Pedro's fish market to be very thorough and informative. Pretty good job & he's not even a local! Thanks, I feel I could handle this place much more efficiently.
Hi Tim! Happy to see you went to Langers! I live in LA and love their food! You are always so polite and kind to whoever you talk to and it's so nice to see~ Thank you for that! Respect! 💖
So glad to see you collaborate with other RUclipsr , I love all your videos and the ones you collaborate with. I am a big fan of all of you. Enjoy your stay in L.A.
Hey there Tim. Next time you are in the Redondo area, you should give the Perfect Storm a try. The do an AYCE live main lobster cooked to order. Truly appreciate your kindness to all the wonderful hospitality workers you come across.
Tim, I've lived in LA for over 30 years and I can tell you, that you made two excellent choices!! Pastrami & matzo ball soup for lunch and lobster tail and scallops for dinner? You picked the best of the best! Sorry for our freeways...LOL.
Thank you for the vote of confidence. The food was certainly great. It was interesting, on the way driving back, I instantly regretted the comments about the traffic being efficient 😉
Bill and Lisa are truly class acts🙂. They are exactly like you see on the videos! Fun, funny, and very kind. Two of the nicest people you'll ever meet! 🙂
The way my Dad always picked a restaurant, when we were traveling, was by how long the lines were, I was anticipating good things and it looked like a win 😀 Worth the wait!!!
Hi Tim...glad to see you again...Cheers and Bon Appetit!!! Glad you was able to hook up with Lisa, Bill and Dan 👍...Lisa and Bill are the bomb, they are a very lovely fun couple 🤗...Langers #19 is Lisa and Bills go to sandwich...they've also been to the San Pedros fish market...great choices of fresh seafood cooked on the spot...enjoy buddy and safe travels and God Bless 😘🤗💙
Hi Jade, number 19 was my choice going in thanks to Bill and Lisa. I had to follow Jess's suggestion, but to be honest I don't think I could have gone wrong with either choice. Really great folks all around 😃

Another delicious/amazing video, Tim! Also enjoyed the Thai Marketplace video you did with Dan. I was watching Bill and Lisa's video before watching yours and thought it would be so nice if you collaborated with Bill and Lisa...and to my surprised...you actually met up with them! Hope to see your Disney video soon!
Haha, a loan office over there! Great sense of humor Tim! And, you are so right about LA traffic, worst ever! Food looks great! You're just so much fun to watch!
LoL, driving back to LA, I encountered the traffic issues and was really regretting what I said earlier 😆. The prices there were expensive.. but I think it's a tourist premium 😉
Great video, Tim. Glad you had a great time and good food here in Los Angeles. Awesome to see you went to Langer's and promise me next time you'll get the No. 19. It's just too good not to get the whole sandwich. Look forward to your future adventures.
"I think you can drink three or four of these." When Macy's in Aventura, FL first opened, they had an upscale NY-style eatery. One of their offerings was an "unlimited" egg cream. A bottle of U-bett's and a seltzer siphon was brought to the table and the server taught one how to make their own. It was an awesome experience!
@@TimLeeLetsGo I'll warn you that I'm *very* particular about my egg creams. The one you received from Langer's looked perfect, with a nice white head. The white head is what gives it the name egg cream; an egg cream is not a chocolate soda with brown foam on top. It frustrates me to no end that even U-bett's will post incorrect directions for making one, as long as their syrup is mentioned by name in the directions...
@@TimLeeLetsGo it's easy. I've been making them this way for 37 years. Only use U-bett's syrup. Their chocolate syrup is traditional, but any of their syrups can be used for different flavors. If you can get a seltzer siphon, use it, but otherwise use a fresh can of seltzer each time you make one. Even unopened bottles of seltzer seem to be too flat to get a good head of foam. Do not use Club Soda or Tonic Water! I start by chilling a glass pint beer glass in the freezer. When it's frosty cold, pour some dairy into the bottom of the glass, about a quarter to a third of the way up. Pretty much any dairy milk, or even cream, will do. Tilting the glass like one does when pouring a draught, slowly pour in the seltzer, righting the glass to get the head of foam desired. This will combine the dairy and the seltzer. Gently pour the U-bett's syrup down the side of the glass. You want to color as little of the head of foam as possible. The amount will be to taste; some like a light flavor while others like it really heavy. Once the syrup is pooled in the bottom, gently insert a long handled spoon along the side of the glass where you poured in the syrup. Again, you're trying to avoid discoloring the head of foam. Once the spoon touches the bottom, gently agitate to combine the syrup with the seltzer and dairy. Slide the spoon out carefully, insert the straw, and enjoy! I only recently saw a video of a man who claimed to have been a soda jerk and showed the way he used to make them on the job. His method is made in a clean sink, as it involves a lot of pressure and the egg cream overflows the glass. But, while I have never seen them made that way in person, I believe him. His egg cream was picture perfect! But, as picky as I am about them, for me, my method works. A chocolate soda is the same, only the care to not color the foam is disregarded. The head of foam is the same color as the drink itself, so usually the dairy and syrup is combined before adding the seltzer. This is the most common incorrect method for making an egg cream out on the web. A phosphate is the same as a soda, minus the dairy. The syrup is put into the glass, the seltzer added, and the two are agitated together. A New York Plain is strictly seltzer water.
So cool you got to meet Bill and Lisa 😃 And you're making us miss the LA area. There's So many fantastic restaurants of every kind there. Your lobster seafood plate looked great with that sauce:) Like you said, too bad it wasn't fresh but still looked yummy. Sending Best Wishes and Blessings, James and Kim ❤️
Welcome to LA. Home of the worst traffic and hot weather. Glad you got to experience SoCal food places. Going on the week days is shorter for San Pedro FM. Prices are not for the feint of heart though... lol. Yup almost $100/lb for the crab legs.
I can't believe I said how pleasant the LA traffic was.. I quickly found out that was not the case on the return trip to LA 😆. I did get sticker shock when looking at the cost of the seafood, but kind of anticipated that as it's a bit of a tourist area

Do yourself a favor and go on a weekday for a more enjoyable seafood dining experience. The weekend lines are absolutely brutal and you're standing in them a lot. 🙄
Hi tim I love this place you out did yourself this time my friend. I hope you're food wasn't too cold while waiting in the beer line. Enjoy yourself and see you in the next video. Thanks for the content
It's interesting because I was just chatting with Bill and Lisa about this. We are all so grateful and blessed with that RUclips community. Thank you so much for yours and everyone's support, and humbled to get to visit and share these experiences.
To be honest, I don't think I've ever been so happy to have a beer... Mainly because of all the failed lineups and the fact that someone was kind enough to offer one 😃
A few of my colleagues from work recently moved to Nova Scotia and work remotely there and some others traveled there for vacation. They all loved it/loving it 🙂
Food looks delicious, however, the best time to go to avoid the lineups, is probably during the weekdays. I never went to such a confusing restaurant in my life, food and drinks should all be at one place. Nice video Tim, once again.
Glad you had fun! FYI, it is Canter's Deli, not Carter's, that I believe you are referring to in your post and video that was the other great deli option...
Been watching for a little bit but first time commenting. Another awesome video, so many great looking food options and looks like you had an awesome time. We really love your videos!!
If you're still in LA, there are tens of thousands of restaurants and food trucks. Smorgasbord LA is an interesting place to try all kinds of unique foods. Some days they BBQ a whole alligator. LA draws people from all around the world so we have restaurants that represent cuisine from everywhere. The San Gabriel Valley has amazing Chinese and Taiwanese food. We have a Little India and Little Saigon in Orange Country. Regional Mexican cuisine is everywhere and usually quite cheap. When my daughter moved away, the thing these missed the most is all the food choices.

Hi tim...welcome to San pedro ( San Peeedro) 🤗🤣 yes...VERY busy on the weekends...hope you had a chance to look around while here...great views of the harbor and angels gate..❤
You should do an LA Taco Trip Tim. Forget about those wannabes in the buffets. You need the real deal Tacos & other Mexican foods Tim. Check out Mexi Papa's channel Hun. He'll show you the best foods, Taco Trucks & family owned Mexican Restaurant's you've ever tried lol. As he & his stickers say, Mexi Papa Approved lol!
Hello 😊, I'm a new subbie! I recently found your channel and I have been binge-watching ever since! Thank you for showcasing all of the desserts...sometimes foodie videos skip over the sweets, so I really appreciate all of the extra air time that they get on your channel 🙂
Hi Tim. Like your videos. Went to AYCE buffet at the Palms in Las Vegas and they didn't have nearly as much food as in your video. Also the one day per week all you can eat lobster was limited to only one per person due to shortage after waiting on line for 4 hours to get into the buffet. Truly, AYCE doesn't deserve the pedestal which you placed them on!
I did not get a chance to visit the Palms ayce Buffet after the lockdown.. and I heard they had a lobster buffet as well. Been really looking forward to trying it but thanks for the heads up about the 4-Hour wait! I remember they had something similar to the Silverton casino which I did manage to visit. It can get pretty hectic for sure
BTW Tim if you were ever to visit Norway , I would happily take you under my wing ... we have amazing seafood plus a lot of unique dishes .-) let me know
Congrats on the sponsorship and great video Tim 😄we have something like this in Houston but I don't think we'll need a loan officer though 🤣$72.99/lb for lobster😵💫the boston lobster feast is definitely a steal 😄will check out this place the next time I'm in LA but not on the weekend for sure 😁 Thanks Tim !

Thank you so much Pat! I did not get a chance to check out Angel's Gate but hopefully we'll do so next time.. on a weekday 😉
Not sure when you'll be in LA next but you should check out All Day Baby, Lasita, Dollar Hits, and Lodge Bread.
Come try Phillipe’s French dip where the sandwich originated
Thank you for the recommendation! There's just so many places to try😋

Great review
Next time visit Busy bee market, best sandwich ever.
Gosh Tim, the food looked delicious at the San Pedro Market, but I could not handle the lines and wait. You have more patience than me.
It was pushing my patience 😉. Really grateful for Ali to share her beverage with me after being unsuccessful in the lines 🙂
I could never have finished all that seafood, as much as I love shrimp haha. But it looked tasty. Thanks for sharing Tim, God bless
Especially after eating that large bf. I hope he brought some of that seafood home.
U shoulda just got the #19. U need the lettuce on the sandwich it makes it so much better
Pastrami looks so good. from Karachi, Pakistan.
Thanks for the shoutout, Tim! You hit up a couple great LA foodie spots! Sorry we couldn't help you tackle that shrimp tray, next time! lol
This was all a big thanks to you! You both are the de facto guides of LA and other places
Can’t wait to travel again
That’s a lot of food for one person!
Wow! Maybe it's me but I can't phantom standing in a line for over an hour!! The food looked delicious 😋
It was a tough wait.. it was hot and I certainly had to go for one of those $11 drinks at the stands outside
Woow seafood 🦀 looks awesome.💥
It was quite nice though it was a bit on the pricey side 😉
Great looking eats, Tim! What’s the difference between a hash brown and potato pancake?
Good question! I think potato pancakes are the ones that cost more...😉😆

Hello 😊, I'm a new subbie! I recently found your channel and I have been binge-watching ever since! Thank you for showcasing all of the desserts...sometimes foodie videos skip over the sweets, so I really appreciate all of the extra air time that they get on your channel 🙂
Thank you so much for reaching out and for your support 🙂
what a beautiful content to explore food in different country or tribes
New York Deli in Torrance, CA has humongous deli sandwiches. Get one and share with up to 4 people.
Thank you so much and definitely adding that to the list!
Any thoughts of the pastrami sandwiches comparing East coast vs west coast?
I didn't like the grilled sandwich here at Langer's.. but I'm not sure if that's a East coast West coast thing 😋
New subscriber.
Cheers and hello from London!
Thank you so much for reaching out! A jolly good day to you!
Jeez Tim, you gotta come to the Maritimes and try the Lobster and Mussels, the lineups are short and the food is fresh...😉
Would that be Nova scotia? Always wanted to go 😋
@@TimLeeLetsGo yessir Halifax , Lunenburg, Digby Scollops, PEI mussels clams oysters Lobsters, Shediac NB Lobsters. All good 😊
That’s My favorite place down in San Pedro. You got Cajun seasoning.
Cajun seasoning and butter was exceptionally good 😋
Love seafood! 😋
Yummy!!!
Tim, you are such a good guy. bless your soul. =D
Thank you so much for your kind comment. All the best to you and yours 🙂
Your the best Tim !!
Just grateful that everyone were so engaging here in LA
