$25 Vietnamese Seafood Grill & Hotpot Buffet in Orange County's Little Saigon!

- Not too long ago, I visited what I consider to be America's best Vietnamese Buffet and it certainly lived up to expectations. That was the Kim Son Buffet in Houston recommended by @DavidSriracha .
I'm currently traveling and visiting in Los Angeles and decided to visit Little Saigon; given the great suggestions I had from David, I decided to reach out and as luck would have it, he had a great recommendation here in Orange County. This is a $24 Vietnamese Seafood Buffet with grill and hotpot. Somewhat unassuming, this is 98 Shabu & Grill Buffet in Little Saigon offering up an array of seafood from the familiar shellfish, shrimp, and crabs to the exotic and adventurous with sea snails, razor clams and more. Along wit the seafoods, there were plenty of meats for your hotpot and grill.
With all the flavours and spices, a perfect way to round this meal off is the house specialty drink! A cocktail of sugarcane juice with coconut water to cut the sweetness. A great find and great value in LA's Little Saigon!

It's pretty clear that Tim's experiences don't necessarily reflect those of an average customer (when it comes to special treatment). These videos are promoting the restaurants, so of course they're going to display as much food as possible. From the yelp reviews not everyone's experiences have been so great.
Recently discovered this lovely channel. Tim's very relaxed approach is refreshing. None of the exaggerated eye rolling, neck breaking, eye popping reactions of other RUclipsrs.

For someone like me, I cannot afford $100and beyond meals. You’ve shown we should take the time to find what we can afford and still treat ourselves. Nice place. Good job.
When going to a buffet! I only enjoy seafood, hot pot (should only eat a little boiled water), then add some vegetables and finally fresh fruit for dessert. I never touch rice or noodles. Because they make me feel full quickly and feel very heavy after a meal. But usually at Buffet places priced under $35, most of the seafood is not fresh, the meat is crumbly and smells of bleach.
That is legit. All restaurants should be fun like that one. Those sauces look amazing. Good show Tim.👍

I recently got a chance to visit the buffet again... They raise the price to $27, but now are serving short ribs and crabs etc.. incredible deal

The Coconut & Sugar Cane drink looked great, I've never tried anything like that before... all the clams looked great too.. I've never had snails before ..I like making Ramen with mushrooms at home so full of flavor 😋

That was a great buffet! For $25 there was a very interesting selection of foods! AYCE shabu shabu, hot pot, grill was a super choice! Yea, I guess the LA metro traffic is extra bad!!
I’ve been there with my sister and honestly wished they had more meat selections but overall they do have a good seafood selection and the price is definitely good.
This is the largest Litle Saigon in the World. With the largest population of Vietnamese people outside of Vietnam.
You really feel like you are in Vietnam in some parts of Litttle Saigon.
Absolutely worth visiting the restaurants shops and grocery stores here.
Technically San Jose, CA has the largest Viet population outside Vietnam, but OC/Westminster definitely has the Vietnam feel

Though we knew we'd need to be on the road to work oit the kinks. Now we're joining Clubs like Harvest Host and the National Parks and other groups. We've loved our Parks stays:) When we get up to the NW soon we'll hook up with you.

Wow, that's a big sugar cane drink, my fav!
We make sauce for the snails, or salt/lemon/pepper/chili/wasabi.
Mostly focus on the meat and not so much on fillers (rice/sweets/cakes/vegies...etc).
There's also a lot of Vietnamese people in San Jose, California (most vietnamese outside of VN within one city).
Check out the restaurants in San Jose: vietnamese, mexican, chinese, middle eastern, indian...super diverse population and quite safe.
I would also pig out on buffet and fast after/before to stay with in "weekly calory intake". Working out also helps use up a lot of calories.
The sugar cane drink was really refreshing.. really great restaurants there and can't wait to visit San Jose as well. That's a good strategy with respects to buffet and light eating afterwards.. I eat pretty light when I'm at home.

Enjoy your meals Tim. I came here with my sisters 1 or 2 months ago on Friday afternoon. It was not too busy as dinner time would be very busy. The bbq was delicious and I really enjoyed it all the Vietnamese vegetables...

There is something awkwardly weird and wrong about the way Tim swallows a food that I know that is so delicious but his facial reaction and description undermines the deliciousness of the food. I dont know why 😂😂😂 but i still watch his videos. Great food choices Tim.

I did notice some comments lately where people were not too happy. they mentioned service wasn't too good and they had problems keeping up with food. Just be aware... sometimes when I go with the camera, there's slightly different treatment.
the snails in the uk are called welks . i used to collect them near a beach in buckie scotland eat then with vinegar mmmm

The small plate is a system for quite a few buffets use to control the amount of food a customer can take per serving.
A lot more walking back and forth with small plates also 😉

Hi tim great video I wish you would have got there when the buffet opened then you would have caught the food just being brought out. Normally you catch buffets early traffic where you are is very slow. 2 questions: do you think you will ever do a question and answer live video? You are asking a very good question whether or not he will ever do a question and answer live video??!!!! I believe he has already try other different types of food such as the tasting menu of tapas and Spanish gourmet food for $400.00 in a video he recently uploaded.
