- One of the many benefits with having so many family members spread across Australia is to be able to visit them all and explore the different cities in the country. This time, I took a train to Melbourne to visit and eat! Meeting and eating with the uncles and aunties, cousins and their little ones. And this time, I got meet this pets as well...two chickens! Named Chirpy Fuego and Oreo Squishington. Check out their antics on their channel: @chocmarshmallow
/ @chocmarshmallow
And while in Melbourne I started to do some exploring and eating. And while I got to sample many great foods in Sydney, the eateries in Melbourne seem to be second to none. However, during this trip to Australia, I don't think I've visited any Chinese Buffets...yet. But this will be remedied soon.
A little distance from the Melbourne city centre is a Chinese buffet called House of Delight. And it gets better as it not only hosts the traditional hot food buffet items, but it's also a HotPot Buffet as well. Unlimited meats and seafood, an array of Asian dishes, and mountains of dessert, this is truely a buffet house of delight.
If you happen to be in the land down under, it is definitely worth the visit!

Heck ya!!!! A new Tim video! Woohoo!
You have a beautiful family, Tim. So glad you’re having a great trip!
Thank you so much and Australia is quite gorgeous.
Enjoy the wonderful food today . Have a great day today !
❤😊
Love your channel so much !
Thank you so much for your kind comment🙏❤️
Yes, a video from Tim! And on Mother's Day, thank you Tim for the wonderful gift 😊
A very happy Mother’s Day to all
Hello Tim! I'm a follower from Sydney - I was so excited to see you arrived here in Australia and can enjoy two great cities, especially with family! The fishball you mentioned at 22:20 is one of my favorites, I think you are right that it's fish roe, and I think the delicious yellow-orange sauce is egg yolk flavour! Please continue to enjoy the fresh produce and come back and visit again soon!
Seeing Glen Waverley featured in one of Tim's videos is a little surreal. 😄
It's really nice Tim was able to catch up with family while in Australia.
Are you from that area? It is a gorgeous place.
@@TimLeeLetsGo Aww. Thank you! I am from that side of Melbourne so am very familiar with the area.
I'm glad you enjoyed the food. We are spoilt for choice in Melbourne.
Safe travels, Tim!
Another great video as always Tim! My wife and I have been massive fans of all your videos since the very beginning. You have instilled within us our passion for buffets and to see you enjoying yourself at our local hotpot buffet was simply a treat! We have sat at almost every chair and table at House of Delight and only last month we sat at your exact seat at this buffet. We can now proudly say that we have sat in the exact seat as the all-time master of buffets Tim Lee!! An honour indeed!!!
Sunday, fun day with TIM❤ Happy Mother's day to all mothers🎉🎉
Happy Mother’s Day to all!
Thank you for another great post! I enjoy following you on your food adventures.
Thank you so much! It was a wonderful meal

TY so much Tim for another taste adventure...this looked wonderful and plentiful ❤. Happy you got to see family while in Melbourne...please say Happy Mother's day to your wonderful mom 🙏🤍🌷🌷🤙
Thank you so much and will pass that along. We did celebrate yesterday for a great meal. Very happy Mother’s Day to everyone as well.
Tim I don’t know how you do it! Each buffet is better than the previous! Bravo, tks for your time and efforts, much appreciated!
Hi Tim, Welcome to Melbourne. Been following your videos for a few years now. Always hoping you come down under and now your here lol. How long you in Melbourne for? You should do a meet and great with your followers if you have the chance. :) have a great time cheers
There’s so many great places to eat and believe me, it’s not all about buffets. The food in Australia is really high in quality. Really enjoyed it.
Thank you so much! Melbourne feels just like home…especially the weather. There’s a little bit of lag between when I visit and when the videos are posted. Really enjoyable there, and I think I need to do a better job at communicating where I’m visiting in real time. Any ideas?
@@TimLeeLetsGo “Any ideas” hmm, I would end my previous video with my updated schedule. This way we can plan on your time table, whether it be a meet and greet or video follow! GL and much appreciated. Tks
Hi from Scotland hope you're all safe and well my friends 🏴👍😉✌️🏴...looks delicious my friend Mmmm
Warmest, greetings to you as well!
Amazing Tim! For some reason, I don't think of Australia when I think good East Asian food...so this was great to see. Thank you for another great video!!
Welcome to Melbourne and Glen Waverley, have a great time.
Hope you enjoyed your time with your family. That buffet had a great selection of both hot and dessert options. Plus hot pot for that price point... great deal.
Thank you so much! I was actually tempted to visit the x buffet in Vegas, but that was too rich for my blood🙂
That buffet looks amazing.Enjoy.☺️
I was quite impressed
Delicious Combo Buffet & Hot Pot !!! S0 nice you got to spend time with family in Melbourne !!! Thank you for sharing Tim ! Safe Travels !
It was quite an amazing time getting to spend the time with the family and the little ones
Yqw, mp...glad you enjoyed the day with your mom ❤...miss her in your videos 🤗...the clams did look delicious 🤣🤣🤣
Being to that hotpot buffet many times. Good memories, delicious food & heavenly bliss. You really feel like royalty.
Love watching your videos, you and Mark .W have inspired me to start my own channel here in Australia. Thank you ❤️🙏
So good to see you eating hotpot Tim and wow did it look delicious, gorgeous variety! ❤
It’s nice that they have hot pot and some buffet items as well. Really enjoyable and a lot of seafood and meats.
Sending well wishes from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada!!
Wow! All the way on the other side of the country… Almost😉. I gotta ask, do they have a Mc lobster at the McDonald’s?
@@TimLeeLetsGo Atlantic Canada actually does!! It’s usually a limited time offer a few times a year, Atlantic lobster only:) it’s not bad either!
You really do a great job taking your viewers to the restaurant.
Thank you so much… It was a rather long video and a lot of eating. Much much appreciated.
Hi Tim welcome to Melbourne, I’m in Melbourne but I’ve never been to that buffet and it looks awesome. Beautiful food 😋☺️
Oreo Squishington??
Honey, That is a Mother’s Day gift by itself😂 😂
I love to watch your videos. I’m glad your showing more eating
Thank you so much… May be a little too much eating😬😉
I gained weight just watching your videos :)
That buffet looks amazing for the price! The AYCE hot pot in Vancouver doesn’t even come close to that! You always find the most incredible buffets to showcase. Word of advice to you, Tim, if I may: The broth needs to boil for food safety. Meats and seafoods don’t cook for long like you suggest but they need to go into a boiling broth. As a matter of fact, hot pot broth is quite often in a constant boil. Please keep up the good work. Your videos are a joy to watch.
They frequently add new soup to your pot to prevent burning out. Also be careful of food cross contamination with raw chicken in the dish. I would use a separate chopstick to handle raw food and the eating chopsticks.
I have never seen so many great and different choices for a Hot Pot. Had to find enough deliciousness to fill your belly.. Fantastic!!😊
Really impressed with all the great food and Australia! Even their hot pot offering is second to none😂
The kiddos are so cute! Love the chicken names. Hotpot buffet, that is a wonderful idea. So many choices. Like your special sauce recipe but I would have gone for several just to have fun dipping in each one. Just made lamb with my favorite cilantro riata dipping sauce. Hello from hot and sunny Oregon.
The little ones are very cute indeed. And they picked really great names for their chickens. What I did not show in the video because I didn’t want to give their home away, was that literally they are next-door to McDonald’s serving up their special deals on chicken nuggets.😬😆
Based on your review, we travelled just over 2.5 hours to go to The House of Delights. We went during lunch, which understandably didn't have the same variety as a dinner setting, but it was fantastic nonetheless. The manager (and all the staff) were so friendly and welcoming. He even made a dessert (jelly and condiments) for us as we had no clue how it was to be eaten. Wonderful experiance for children to explore hotpot. Thank you for a wonderful review.
Thank you .looks wonderful.
Really nice to find this hidden gem in Melbourne
$52 Dinner.....$30 Lunch
Makes me wanna goto Shabu Shabu next week, had plans to do Sushi AYCE but maybe both in 1 week
💯Thanks for the Video, Tim💯
✌✌
There’s always room for shabu shabu! It’s just kind of soup isn’t it?😉
@@TimLeeLetsGo
Yes! Different Soup bases to choose from, Meat, and Seafood..... For some weird reasons i Love to put/eat a lot of Tofu whenever i go Shabu Shabu... They've Seafood also, Shrimp, Crab, Clams, Mussels, Escargot, Crawfish, Fish Filet, etc... There are Some Shabu Shabu that has both Hotpot and Grill at the same time.. Those are the Best, Grill Meat/Seafood and Hot Pot at the Same time.
Shabu Shabu before Weather hits 100 Degrees 🤠
Happy Mother's Day to your mom❤❤❤ ...looks delicious as always...enjoy and have a great day ❤🤗
Thank you so much, Jade. Passing that along to Mom and she really appreciates it. We celebrated it yesterday and really enjoyable. You would have loved those black bean clams, but I think they called it pipies there.
Tim, you continue to amaze us with your knowledge of what you are eating. The buffet looks delicious, especially the hot pot choices. Hold the duck blood squares. ❤❤❤
That was my first time as well! Never had duck blood in cube form
I really liked that hot pot. Looks so good. Cheers, Tim and God Bless! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️🇨🇦
I'm loving what you do. Going around the world eating food mostly in buffet restaurants.
Really grateful to get to share these experience. Just don’t tell my boss that I am taking the work remote remote policy to its limits.
@@TimLeeLetsGo lol 😂
I love making sauces at the table they have some good ingredients to work with....oooo! that dessert spread WAS pretty impressive looking
It’s always fun to make your own concoction. And if it doesn’t taste good, you can do it all over again.😉
Hi, WOW. Finally you got visited to Australia, Melbourne. A big fan 🎉
Such a pleasant visit indeed, and really grateful to connect with the family
Happy Mother’s Day 💜💜
❤️
@@TimLeeLetsGothanks a whole bunch
What an Awesome and Informative video. Man...can you pack the food away! Thanks so much! Australia. 🇦🇺
This was so educational. Loved it. Thanks.
Thank you so much! It was quite a nice experience as well🙂
Ènjoyed you made me hungry. Look forward to see more 😊
Thank you so much and hope you get a chance to give the try if you’re in the area
i always eat the roe when i get scallops so good
That’s interesting, I noticed they don’t do that in North America but they should 😋
Australia and New Zealand always offer the whole scallop. Which includes the coral ( orange part ). Which is very tasty.
Thank you. Could not remember it is called coral. Think it's getting more popular world-wide to serve with it.
Thank you so much! I did not know what that was called. I wish they would serve that here in North America.
Also, thank you for trying the duck blood esp...I love trying new foods, so will give it a go if I see it on a menu!! :)
God bless you too! I enjoy your videos.
Thank you, and all the best to you and yours🙏
Thank you for showing this. I am planning to go there now 🎉
I hope you go hungry! It’s a lot of food
@TimLeeLetsGo my kids watched this with me and they are excited!!
House of delight is an absolute delight, we went for Sunday lunch a slightly smaller dessert bar. However the variety of food was vast and so fresh.
The hotpot experience is so much fun and the stock choices is amazing.
Hi tim great video I am not a fan of the hot pot because I'm not very good at cooking my own food at the table 😅 but you seem to enjoy it which is great!! Thank you so much for your experience
Excellent Video Tim. I really enjoyed it
Thank you so much and it was quite enjoyable, especially with servers and hosts like Beng
Excellent buffet. Glad you are enjoying Melbourne.
I must say, the weather in Melbourne is similar to that of Vancouver’s
Happy Mother's Day Melbourne Australia!👍👍👍👍👍😊
Wishing you a very happy Mother’s Day as well!❤️
Tim, A very fine meal. Mouthwatering at every bite. Razor clams looked interesting. Scrumptious desserts. Tapioca is a favorite of mine. I think, Tim, that you eat only once a week 😅. Have a Great Day. Best
Thank you so much. The tapioca dessert was so refreshing.
Thanks Tim. I didn’t know about this restaurant. I live in Ballarat and don’t get to Melbourne often, but this is definitely worth a try.
Really impressed with the diversity of food and the coffee in Melbourne.
That meal looks absolutely amazing!!!!!!
It was quite an Australian feast!
All the choices there and in a building FULL of buffets? My fear of missing out would have a field day! Where to go? what to eat? I'd never make a decision! 😅 Did you try any of the other shops? Thankyou for sharing this place Tim! 🙌💕
Luckily, I had the destination set. Just found out about the building of buffets when I got there.😉
Tim - Melbourne's Chinatown has a place called Dainty Chinese. The specialty is Szechuan. The owner/chef was trained in China and has brought in chefs from the mainland. The food was so good I went back three times in a week. People in the food business, Chinese locals, and food nerds rave about the place.
Thank you so much for the wonderful suggestion! Will need to go back for sure!
Hi Tim
This is the first time I watch your channel. How a coincidence I’ll go to Melb (where I haven’t been back 40 years) and wonder how it has changed and where to find good places for meals? Here, you’ve given me the answers. Thank you
Thank you so much for reaching out and hope you have an amazing visit! Really enjoy Melbourne and it has the similar climate as where I’m from which is Vancouver Canada. Hope you enjoy the food as well as the friends and family there.
Glen Waverley is like living in Hong Kong these days.
super congested can't get parking there last time I visited melbourne
excellent vid as per usual but Beng stitched you up with the Durian pastry 😆😅🤣😂
Beng was quite the character😆
What is the time limit for the eat all you can buffet? did you go there for lunch or dinner? I wonder if they only serve those nice seafood at night time.
Hey Tim looks so good sending love from Houston Texas
Hi Tim, love your videos and I was at House of Delights last week. I hope you didn’t get the runs, the soup/broth was boiling enough.😅
Well, I figured that if any bacteria can survive the boiling hot broth, then they deserve to live ;-)
Welcome to my home town brother. Enjoy.
oh wow what a style of eating i want to do this. incredible 🇦🇺
Great vid Tim and feels like we're there with you
I wish you were there with me… I could’ve use the help. It was a lot of food.😁
I think i finally understood, for myself, why the majority of my audience is from America.
For me, Tim's review here is as amazing as ever but as it's in Melbourne (Glen Waverley), I did not watch the entire video. Why? Although i have not eaten there before, because it features within the state I live in, somehow it lessens the wonderment that I experience when I eat vicariously through Tim when he is anywhere outside of Australia. Just makes it feel more exotic and other worldly. So a thumbs up for Tim travelling all the way Down Under (hope he did not have to recover from jet lag too much) but i will wait to watch his videos in their entirety when he reviews buffets of the rest of the world again. 😊
PS: Of course I appreciate my audience wherever they live (Aussies included) but i cannot help ponder if a percentage of my Aussie viewers lose interest of my Melbourne based content (which the majority would be as i live and work in Melbourne) and maybe Aussies feel like I do with Tim's Melbourne based videos.
Does my Aussie audience have a preference to watch my content much more when I am holidaying overseas? As the saying goes, the grass is (or seems) greener on the other side! 😮
Thanks introduce❤
well Tim, I think I've watched you from the very start, I'm the one that suggested for you to stop saying WOW all the time and you have. Your videos are extremely professional now and you should get a job on TV in Canada. Your Australia travels and meals are just stunning. Your videos help me to travel as I haven't been able to travel myself for a number of years now.
How dare you
The nerve of you asking Tim to stop saying ”Wow" 😂
Who do you think you are to embarrass people and make them feel self conscious about their choice of words?
Woah
Narcissistic energy
Watching your videos makes me hungry
We’ll blow me down TIM. What are you doing in my territory…..? I always watched you roaming around the US and now you are in my country and State. I don’t know if you are still here in Melbourne. I live some 250 kms east of Melbourne in GIPPSLAND. I used to live closer when still working in Melbourne which was then 160km away. Good to see you again mate. Safe travels!
Thank you so much and got to visit family in the Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast area. Really love it there and I am completely impressed with the high-quality of ingredients there. Thank you again.
Ok this place looks like food heaven for me lol.
Thank you. Next time in Melbourne lets do a meet and greet with food, please . Safe travels
I would love to. Really enjoy the food in Melbourne, but more than that, it’s the people that are very friendly and welcoming.
Happy M
um, octopus balls kinda threw me off for a minute 😂
Nice variety
A very happy Mother’s Day to you! Yes, octopus balls has that effect sometimes😆
Just found you Tim, really look forward to watching your other content.
Thank you so much! Really enjoying the time in Australia. Beautiful places, lots of good food, and great people as well.
Cheers.
I don't know how you packed that all in but it looked amazing! xx
Love you Tim!!
Love you too!
I live in Melbourne and did not ever know this place existed!
Hey Tim, another great vid as always! Did you try the long clam? Didn’t see you eat it.
Yeah, they were delicious. But I think they just tasted like razor clams, but I couldn’t really tell the difference.
That is an amazing buffet. Wish I had something like that near me.
Me too! I didn’t like the fact that I have to travel across the world for this buffet 😂
Thank you, Tim! It's fun eating with you. Why are you not 400 pounds? Lol.
I did notice. I was a fair bit rounder after the Buffet.😂
What fun you must have had hanging out with those kiddos, Chirpy Fuego and Oreo Squishington. I need help from your tribe to name creatures and things in my world here in the San Jacinto Mountains (CA)!
Thank you so much an I am truly impressed with how the little ones came up with the names! Warmest greetings to you from Vancouver! (Actually being quite hot now... coolest greetings to you!)
Great video Tim....but this is a pass for me. To each his or her own. I still enjoyed seeing all the various items though. 😂👍💯
hi Tim, so, at 9:00 mins, i have seen those crab claw things before but never tried them, but it looked amazing. so, my question is, i noticed that there was NO cartilage in the center, like a normal claw has, is that right?
I think those were really tiny crab claws. There was cartilage but very small in the middle.
Hey Tim,
Do you ever try 100 Seafood buffet in San Diego, CA?
Thank you so much for the recommendation! I’ve never tried it and just looking it up. Thank you so much.
Enjoy your videos From Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
Really enjoy the food choices in Melbourne! Such diversity and high-quality.
@@TimLeeLetsGo wish you tried Okami Japanese Restaurant all you can eat $39 it’s fantastic. Thanks for your videos 😃
Going there now
Hope you had a great dinner!
Looks delicious and fresh
Happy Mother's Day, everybody! 💐
❤️
30USD?!?! That is too good of a deal.
Oh, the US dollar goes a long way in Australia
I literally work around the corner from this restaurant, it’s strange looking at the video and recognising where you are
❤❤❤
Is this in Glenwaverley? In Melbourne
Kiaora again Tim! Lovely to see some members of your whanau in Melbourne, the children are delightful playing with the chooks....new sub here for their channel🐔🐓That blasted durian got ya again you poor thing....but I did lol at your facials when you realised what it was! Regarding the scallops, I've never understood why people remove the scallop roe. Here in Aotearoa NZ, those vibrant orange morsels are prized, the best part us maoris reckon! Pipi, or flatties, is a maori word but the little neck clams you were eating are called tuangi or cockles over here. They look a bit different to the tuangi here though, with their stripes. Really enjoyed this video Tim because it feels like you're just down the road from us! Take care my friend and I look forward to more reviews during your stay with our Australian brothers....Ozzy, Ozzy, Ozzy, Oi, Oi, Oi!!!🧡💚🧡💚P.S Did you get to see any of the aurora borealis? The colours were very intense down here and could be seen for hours throughout the country, especially on Saturday night.
❤nice video
🙏 thank you so much
I swear I’d be piling my plate if it’s all you can eat gotta get my $50 worth
What is the address in Melbourne? Can we find similar shop in Sydney?
I left the details of the restaurant in the video description. Would love to find something like this in Sydney as well.😁
Amazing buffet at a great price. No tax or tip (unless you choose) to add to the bill.
I really enjoy the system in Australia. They tell you the final price so there are no surprises. Many places do include a service charge, but that’s already included on the quoted price.
Tipping is optional in Australia. The waiting staff are paid an decent hourly rate and not depending on the tip for their income.
Come back to Singapore, visit Shabu Sai, get sukiyaki and tonkotsu soup. spam all the beef shortplate
Thank you so much for the recommendation! Noting it down and really enjoy Singapore… Everything is amazing, except for the humidity😆😉
