- I built a working LEGO theme park pirate swing ride using LEGO and LEGO Technic!
Nestled among rollercoasters and other amusement attractions, the traditional 'pirate' swing ride is a classic!
This LEGO ride utilises 2 powerful Buwizz motors to power the LEGO pirate swing and 2 Large LEGO Powered UP motors to engage and disengage the ride.
This huge LEGO swing ride measures over 140cm long and over 75cm tall!
Ride capacity is 18 LEGO Minifigures!

Always wondered why more people dont make fairground rides with lego…. Would be neat if it all packed into a trailer!
Go see @letsgorides
A lot of fun fair fanatics build them, good ones too!
Its fun until the sun start to melt them 😅
As a former ride operator, I appreciate the safety bars for the passengers 😂
Nice model, I like it!
One note: I would consider using slip-clutch gear instead of the regular 24-tooth in the acceleration wheel lifting mechanism. This would protect the engines from instant stop which can kill them at some point.
Nice!! Being able to build something like this, no matter the amount of planning that went into it, is very impressive!
Thanks for the comment! Glad you enjoyed it!
I genuinely think you are the first one to do that. Great job on everything!
This brought me back to childhood trips to the Europa Park. Well done project! 😊
Ah! I’m glad it bought back fond memories! Europa park is fab!
Wow! Amazing video!
OMG! I remember going on one of these rides, I think it was the first time it had been to our town's local fair.... My mum, sister and me went on it, we sat as close to the centre as we could. And OMG did we feel awful when it stoped and we got off the thung, my sister was green in the face and shaking mike mad. Needless to say, we have never been on it again!
I remember this. It’s fun
Awesome video! Love your videos👍
Thanks for the support! I appreciate it!
Awesome! ☺
Thanks! 😄
More of Rides please
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Wow, amazing work!
I wonder if a (Suspended) Top Spin would be feasible...
pretty cool
I like this 😊
Really super
Thanks! I appreciate the support!
search up the legoland Jolly Rocker that is what this made me think of😀
Impressive ! Too bad the start of the boat is not gradual, on the real ride the rocking starts slowly before accelerating little by little. But that may not be possible with a Lego construction...
Another type of ride that would be really interesting to see is a free fall, especially with some kind of braking system at the bottom.
The ‘drop tower’ is an interesting idea! Thanks for commenting!
Please Build Kärnan from Hansapark! :D
That acceleration is incredible! Are they BuWizz or official LEGO motors?
BuWizz motors!
Классная работа!!!?
Dommage que la nacelle ne fasse pas le tour complet. Peut-être un prochain projet ?
It's great that you created it, if you're hungry you can come eat my lego dishes
Can you build a working drill rig?
❤
Could you not have achieved the same mechanics with just one static wheel in centre which would simply change direction back and fourth?
Yes - more modern versions of this ride do exactly that! I wanted to try out a slightly older method some of the original pirate ship rides employed! Thanks for commenting!
@@BuilditwithBricks that’s interesting, thanks for reply
I ride once and my soul is left behind HAHAHA
tôi nghĩ nó vừa quay, vừa lên xuống nữa thì hay hơn nhỉ?
At normal pirate ship is only one wheel🤔
Hi, thanks for the comment! Not necessarily true - the older models started out as I've built in this video - with 2 wheels. Different designs included a ride with just one wheel.
