      If you think that’s amazing, consider there are people who make them, every part and piece, at their home machine shop. There’s a guy who made a running model of a Rolls Royce v12 Merlin engine. He machined every last screw.

    • @MrJdebest
      @MrJdebest 6 месяцев назад +5

      It would be the same technology as used to make full sized motors. CNC lathes and machining centers. The parts are smaller. I find watch parts really amazing because of how tiny they are. IMHO. 😊

      I’ve said the same thing for years, maybe a smaller complete engine but you get to build the whole car
      Closest thing I did to this was a 1/12 RC car where I had to assemble whole transmission etc and respray the shell etx

    Super cool ! That's the most realistic V8 I've seen built so far. The biggest difference is the engine not coming with a weed eater carburetor like most of the other scale engines I've seen on you tube so far. The intake manifold and a little carb that looks like a mini 4 barrel Holly. The pistons have compression and oil rings Instead of 1 ring like a 2 stroke. A lot of detail went into the design of that little engine. The distributor looked like the real thing. Oh and I love the little fuel tank :)

This a $3000 toy!! A toy!! And you’re bragging on it! No wonder our country is so fucked with slush heads like yourself just throwing money away because you can! Im beyond certain you didn’t work for that money and if your parents are still alive the shame they must feel for leaving you money so you could waste your life and build $3000 toy engines. 😢

    I have watched several of these builds, I am most impressed with this model with three piston rings, and push rods and adjustable valve clearances etc. The valve timing arrangement is less impressive, there are usually markings on the gears that are accurate to one tooth, I don't see this here. It appears to be real easy to get the valve timing out of whack, and probably a design where the pistons can hit the valves.

    I worked on Detroit Diesel assembly line and we would lube the rubber cylinder sleeve 0-rings with a brush and Crisco. The rings were perfect for shooting at each other. We would have intense rubber O-ring battles. Sometimes we would ambush the Hi-lo drivers. Cool vid,brings back memories of all the assembly jobs I had there with components a little larger.

    Bowtie gearheads rejoice! 🥰 You can still get a smallblock chevy, even if it is tiny! What a cool piece of engineering…..even if it won’t run through the quarter mile!

      I thought that was mimicking a Chrysler engine with the distributor slanted like that, did Chevy do that too?

    Sure there was the technology to make this back in the day, but it would required a Swiss watchmaker to fabricate it and about $25K. To be able to buy one of these kits at a somewhat affordable price just blows my mind. 🤯

    The codemasters games were always good value for money. I think i had most of the simulator series when I was a kid. We had a diy shop close to us and they had a rack of budget games at the back . Mainly code masters with a few mastertronic chucked in. ......... Great memories. I was probably the shops biggest customer 😂 great video as always mate 👍

    If the interest is there, someone was bound to build these. Given that enthusiasts will pay $300,000 for a professionally rebuilt Ford Bronco, this is just a drop in the bucket for those guys. $2000 for this kit, which isn't too bad when one considers the castings, CNC programming and machining, and whatnot.

    Nearby Salzburg(Austria) is a train-museum. There you can see original old steam-, diesel- and electric-engines.
    But there is also a model of an old steam-engine totally made of paper in around 1952...! Very impressive and so many details...!
