- Join us as we embark on a heartwarming journey to rescue Piper, a dog on the brink of being euthanized. Teaming up with Derek and Kim from the Boots Brigade 73R RUclips channel, we took to the skies in a Beechcraft Baron to give Piper a second chance at life.
Our mission began in Lufkin, Texas, where we connected with the dedicated team at Kurth Memorial Animal Services. This organization tirelessly works to find loving homes for countless animals, and it's always worth checking out their Facebook page to see who's looking for a forever home.
Our destination? Austin, Texas. We flew Piper to the wonderful folks at Central Texas Ruffugees. This rescue organization is another beacon of hope for animals in the Austin area, ensuring they receive the care, love, and attention they deserve.
A special shoutout to Pilots N Paws, the amazing organization that coordinates these life-saving flights. Their dedication to animal welfare knows no bounds.

Normally I'd unsubscribe over someone named Piper flying in a Beechcraft, but this doggo gets a pass
I love this! I am over at Shreveport, and have made about 5-6 flights for Pilots n Paws. I absolutely love helping these pups out! I have made a couple flights out of LFK. The organizations are such a dream to work with! Thank you for helping out!!
Bryan...this hit me right in the feels..about a year go i had to let my senior dog go..he was suffering with auto immune disease ...he was a fawn Staffy named Ziggy and i have a 6 year old beagle male (Chase) i adopted 5 yrs ago from a elder lady who had no idea how to train a dog.
I've been dragging my feet finding Chase a buddy ..perhaps selfishly...dogs are pack animals ...this lit a fire under me and monday / tuesday i'm taking off work to hit tyhe local rescues and shelters hard..
Bryan thanks for the awesome video and Derek and Kim thank YOU for all your efforts and time making connections for the pups
The more I learn about people, the more I like my dog. - Mark Twain
I did Pilots N Paws for several years with my Cherokee 6 while living in SoCal. I flew all over the west coast and as far east as Kansas City doing rescue flights. I even flew out to that same FBO in Austin for one flight. I recognize the SR-71 engine in the background.
Pilots N Paws is a great way to find new places to fly while making a huge difference for the pups.
I know nobody will read this, but sometimes when I’m bored, I go to my garden, dig myself into the ground, and pretend I'm a radish
I did a Pilots and Paws flight last year, it was the highlight of my flying life… can’t wait to do it again.
Love this video. I have 2 Barons and 2 dogs. Also, allergic to cats. Hit me up, let's save some dogs. Thanks for doing this.
I'm not a dog person, not a dog person at all, but I'd adopt Piper!
Such a great way to use aviation!
Well done Bryan! Plus some multi time is a bonus.
Nice work BrYan!
You may have just saved a Piper!
😃
Wow what a cutie ❤
I couldn't watch this right away. I knew this would be a feel-good video, but I also knew it would bring up a lot of old grief for the dogs I've lost and the ones I couldn't save.
But I it was worth watching. It's good seeing good people doing good things, and it was good to see Piper happy and safe. Thanks...
And Piper got adopted!
@@JustPlaneSilly That's great news! She looks like a real sweetheart.
Best video ever
We named our dog Piper because I fly an Archer.
Do as many flights for PnP as I can even though the bigger dogs don't fit well in the Comanche. Biggest problem I have is it seems here lately every time I get a request I'm working. Great reason to fly and such a worthwhile mission.
Bryan, I *love* this video! In a complete pilot deviation from satire to serious, I just love it. As you were talking about your pup, I was expecting you put pull out a pair of booties for his back paws. My mind is blown that the claw covers do anything at all. The moment I saw you getting into the Barron, I thought to myself, oh wow!, now he is a @Barron Pilot !
Just subscribed to Boots Brigade 73R, great video, thanks!
my position for the last 10 years has been that I will never get another dog because I won't survive it passing away, but I don't know anymore
Get one, bring joy to your life, and theirs.
it's funny when Bryan is accidentally outted as a competent pilot between his shenanigans.
I miss my dog, she was my best friend.
What a great video! Loved this!
Thank you for doing what you do
I'd love to get involved in this sort of flying, once I finish my PPL (and a winning lotto ticket)
👍✅👏👏👏👏👏❤❤❤
I use a similar product for my ancient Beagle, and it does work!
This is awesome!
This is really awesome! I can't wait to sign up for Pilots & Pies, it's what I've been dreaming of! (jokes aside hopefully I can volunteer for Pilots & Paws in the future, still a student pilot for now)
Pilots and Pies? So like Uber eats but with more airplanes and desserts?
2:31 "Do not open in flight". What the heck prompted the need for that? Think on it for a moment...
Thanks for the tip about the nail things - I had seen those and wondered if they really worked. No need for them yet, (Cassie is only 2) but it's good to know.
Great job and a very cool T Shirt at the end
Every time this pops up in my feed it has a different title. Finally have the time to watch!
Great video Bryan
Sunday Mornings: Watching CBS Sunday Morning while I sip my first coffee in bed, then watch Brian’s latest JPS video with a second cup. (Really must try it with champagne sometime). Get out of bed and go fly (no champagne). Keep up the awesome content Brian.
Oh, and I love what you did and how you completed the t-shirt. I’ll be loading up my cart soon!
Great video Bryan! And thanks for the tip on those dog nail covers. I wish I had known about them with our last dog; a German Shepherd who had hip issues and had a difficult time walking on our hard floors. I'll keep those in mind should our current dog head that way...
Great vid! So inspirational! So, tell the truth man, you know that Pilots & Pies picture makes it look like they enjoy eating people... I'm sure they dont.. but thats a creepy painting lol
25 squared. So 625 foot of elevation🤔
Signed up with pilotnpaws!
Hey Brian, you might look into therapeutic ultrasound. Worked wonders on my broken elbow and my old dogs hip dysplasia. Then I was taking him to swim regularly to build the strength back up.
Bryan should've put what he readouts he was checking while the other guy was talking about the dog across the screen. A lot going on with two motors.
😎
Piper should be adopted by a Cessna pilot.
No way that cute dog would not be adopted.....Its also about 3 years old or less which helps. Dog needs a family who is active and owns land for the dog to run in....Not some single bro living apartment to apartment....IMO
Pipe down Piper....
Where did you get the blue shirt you wore at the end of the video?
I made it. Click the link below the video
Lonely water 07
Dog gone it / dog on it /
I have a dog named Dipsh#t and my other dog is named Crackhead
So why are you hauling Piper in a Beechcraft when you own a perfectly good Piper?
Doggone it. You've gone to the dogs now. Do dogs fart in flight?
I swear it was the dog.
👍✅@@JustPlaneSilly I see a whole new cottage (hanger) industry in your future, "farting" dogs for flight rental ..........
This was one of your best videos BrYan mostly for the Cause for Paws!😀🛫
