Enjoy Airventure, if I can ask, will you be flying into Oshkosh? If so what plane will you be in? I'm a local, and go out to Fisk Approach Control to watch planes fly by and ATC's at work. This year if I can gonna try to hang out at a boat ramp 1/2 mile in line with runway 27. I think I can catch some low flying aircraft using the Turbine/ Warbird arrival. Maybe I'll see you fly overhead.
@@markpiasecki8084 my brother was talking about us maybe flying his piper cub in if we can work out the logistics since he's located in Georgia and I'm in Pennsylvania. If we can swing the extra time off from work to make the slow flight out and back we'll do it. Otherwise we may have to just fly commercial.

I was just thinking you didn't say how many logbooks you had signed in 2023 when you mentioned you are getting your CFI rating. It'll be awesome to get a recognised signature from you in the logbook when that happens.

When you mentioned the Quickie, made me think of the LongEZ as well. If you could find one of those I bet you could do some good jokes. lol Take care !
It’s more time consuming and a lot more work but I highly recommend writing your own lesson plans and building your own syllabus vs buying commercial ones. You’ll know and understand the material a lot better when it comes to actually teach the material instead of just trying to read off a prompt.
I haven't followed this channel as much as I'd like lately, so it's nice to see a recap. It's also nice to see that, apart from the sad news about Ruth, it was a good year for Bryan. He's a likeable guy.
For me, 2023 was the first year since 2018 when things went pretty well, and 2024 is looking good so far. Yeah, one of my cats is mad at me about something, but some tuna and a few belly rubs should fix that.
Don't cats always seem like they might be mad at you 😂

Hey Bryan, it was awesome running into you just before Oshkosh. Sounds like we have similar 2024 plans. My biggest con from 2023 was just not flying as much as I should have or making the career progress I needed to, mostly just due to focusing on less important stuff. I’m planning to fix that this year, wrapping up my CFI in the next few months and flying a lot more than I did last year (or the previous year). Good luck!

I think of Bryan as more of a Bob Newhart kinda guy. Newhart even did an ATC bit that was pretty funny, so there's an aviation connection there.

You missed the biggest accomplishment… you bought a red hoodie and wore it for two years!
My biggest problem is NOT deleting video data and running out of storage……. (It isn’t really footage any more, it bit’s)
I have a massive NAS device that I usually keep stuff on but I comingled some files with some I no longer needed and deleted them all.
A couple things-- It sucks to loose footage. I can't tell you how many videos have been HOSED by file corruption. Start stocking up on SSD's!! Will you be camping with the Comanche group at SNF24? Does already having your CFiii make it easier to get the other 2? Are you going to run for president?? Dude i'm so sorry for all the questions.. well, wait a tic, no im not :)
Nah, I am flying southwest to SnF. I am there to work for Gold Seal this year. We have a lot of fun things planned at their booth this year. I am stocking up on schwag now to be able to give some away to people that can answer trivia questions.
RUclipsrs don't say "We," Pilots do. How many towers have I called on solo flights asking "We'd like a touch-and-go," like... mate x.x Think it's just practice/carryover from Dual Instruction lol.
