- If you fly into the president's restricted airspace, expect to be visited by all sorts of military aircraft. So don't do it. 6:10 That C-130 is doing a maneuver called "parasite drag resiliency", where the pilot intentionally leaves the landing gear deployed while flying and banking so that the plane can get used to higher amounts of parasite drag. I wish I would've known this when I was doing my flight training.

I've heard on a few videos about these Presidential TFRs. I've also seen on a few videos that new pilots like to fly their parents over theirs homes. How far out of town does the President of the HOA have to be for the Presidential TFR to be lifted so these new pilots don't get in trouble? I assume you also have to worry about the presidents of the PTA, the Garden Club, the Lion's Club, the Rotary Club, etc. Is here a notice that comes out when these groups change officers? Flying is starting to sound a lot like my job where the "job" part is ok, but the paperwork is a pain.

I actually ordered this little Bluetooth device ~ Thanks for the $4 discount, Bryan. It works as advertised. The only little issue I had was with the charging cord. The cord was very loose and would stop charging if you touched it. I was actually about to return this device, but I just happened to have a few extra charging cords around the house and was able to use one of those in its place. Problem solved.

Dude, can't tell you how much I've learned from your channel. I'm right front seat for a certain volunteer branch of a certain military branch. Once I watched your com w/ ATC video, I got all the confidence to say "cleared for the option" and all the other pattern stuff. Now, when my friends say crazy stuff, I say, "Your last communication came in totally garbled." I've twice smacked pilots on the arm and hissed "fly the plane". Down near Bragg - all kinds of birds in the air. They don't squawk either. Getting in the air is sublime. Get it right or splat.

Here in Australia we bust presidential TFRs all the time. Prime ministerial ones not so sure about.

He must have one of those third party conversions that modifies your flaps so that they can extend to 90 degrees or more. More flaps = more lift = less required airspeed.

Neat products, I personally went the other route as I had some money that my IO540 didn't know about and bought a Bose bluetooth headset. This probably means I have an expensive engine repair coming up that its not telling me about.

I actually bought a set of rugged air headphones recently as a passenger headset. Your review helped that decision. And compared to the slightly more expensive Kore aviation cheapo headsets, I liked the rugged's better. Not as much as my David Clark's though. But I'm over 50. Pretty sure this is a requirement for membership in the AARP.

I dunno about this, seems dubious. I was told if you fly into a presidential TFR you’re automatically elected to Congress for whatever district you’re flying over. Seems they figure if you’re smart enough to do that you’re good to go to DC.

If you're ever interested, there is an ANR kit from "Active Headsets" that works great for converting "Passive" headsets to "Active" (ANR).
I already had a good headset made by ASA but they weren't ANR, it was far cheaper at the time for me to buy an ANR kit with the gel filled earcups and the David Clark low impedance microphone.
I also added the Bluetooth unit from CrazedPilot and that works great as well!!

I think I saved myself at least a couple hundred bucks by installing the kit instead of buying a new ANR headset, of course it helps if you can dob a little solder without getting it everywhere but where the instructions say to put it. Lol :-)
It may be an option for you to use the ANR kits I mentioned above when or if you ever decide to upgrade those backseat passenger headsets.

Juan didn't do a specific video on Trevor but he did mention it briefly in one of his YT videos, that's when he said to have a look at a great video you did on the totally legit Trevor Jacob plane crash with a pro parachute, leg mounted rockets and his best friend who apparently was a big fan of zip-lock baggies.

11:15 It's a head protector for people that have the misfortune to fly something like a Comanche that gets thrown around in turbulence and worry about being knocked out when you hit the roof. Not needed if you fly a Grumman or Cirrus.
