I’m a month pregnant at 16 and I’ve been really nervous! Seeing videos like this puts me at some peace knowing it’s not impossible! You are doing a wonderful job and thank you for putting the time and effort into making this video!❤️❤️
Hey! You’re awesome ❤ I don’t know you but I know you will be an amazing mom ❤ I’m 17 and 4 months pregnant myself, and being a mom is hard at any age ❤ you’re baby is lucky to have you!❤
Wishing you a safe and beautiful delivery if you haven't already had your precious little one ❤️ You are young, strong, and you've got this! You will be a wonderful mom.
My boy is 12 weeks and it is definitely not like this for me. It got easier. But other things came along. And it is very difficult at times. When my boy has blow outs it takes me alone over 1.5 hours to get him and everything cleaned and sorted. Also, we are figuring out our sleep situation, so I'm not getting much sleep currently.... and feel so low.... Situations can be very difficult. I love my baby boy so much and it is a whole journey for him to get used to this new world and changes. If your situation does not look this "easy" mine sure does not. I am hardly able to do anything else but look after our boy and get myself some food. This is just our situation. Everyone's journey is different. So please don't judge and compare yourself and your journey with other people and their journey.
She is so sweet! I am 6 months pregnant and am trying to keep baby things minimal, and am trying to figure out how many clothes a baby need! If you ever have the chance, a video about baby clothes/minimal baby things would be so helpful!
If you have close friends or family members with babies, definitely start with secondhand clothing. Try to go at least with a few newborns onesies and sleepers (sleepers are the best for changing diapers and covers their feet without worrying about socks) because within 2-3 weeks baby grows very quickly. I highly recommend joining a moms postpartum group. Being with a community of moms is helpful for postpartum recovery (support group can help support mental, emotional and physical healing). Plus you can gain some a lot of donations from the moms. Check your local yoga studios or the hospital where you’ll deliver (they should have postpartum support group). Don’t do motherhood alone. I was fortunate to get a lot of my babies clothing from a swap (donate and thrift). I found a lot of baby clothes (I washed them before baby wore them) and I found a stroller to attach the car seat. Totally convenient. I hope this helps!
It definitely depends on the baby. If they spit up a lot or have runny poops, you may have to change them 4-6 times a day, but otherwise sometimes it is just one to two outfits a day. I think I had wayyyy too many clothes for our first (all given to us). I'd say for the first few months, you don't need much fancy things - onesies and swaddling things and a couple "going out" outfits. Maybe 14-24 outfits for 0-3 months is good. Less at 6-12 months. I am a minimalist and wish I could say 7 a month but I also don't have a laundry machine and hand wash everything and am basing it on that.
it also depends on the size of your bub! we had a whole drawer of newborn clothes we could never use, because she was so big 😂 so just take into account how they are measuring too, at ultrasounds - you might be able to skip up a size.
@@imathumb eh ultrasounds aren't always accurate. They said my baby was bigger than normal because of ultrasound. She was the average size. But I do agree don't buy a lot of newborn. And don't worry about having excessive. Sizes 0-3 works best!
As the first reply stated, I’d keep it very simple at the beginning because your baby will probably grow like weed ! The ultrasound estimate is a good place to start even though it is not always right. For my little one (4m now) who was expected to be “medium sized” (3.3kg at birth) my doctor had advised to skip the 0m (50cm) size altogether and start with 1m (54cm) sized clothes. We started with 6/7 onesie pyjamas and 10 bodysuits plus 1 or 2 “fancy” outfits for pictures (optional ) in size 1m (54cm) and 1 of each in size 3m (60cm). If you can machine wash often (a short washing cycle of 30 minutes was enough since we removed the poop stains by hand), it is enough to begin with if you want to keep it simple. You can then buy as you go, depending on the growth of your little one and their (and your) preferences (buttons, zippers, footed pyjamas or with socks). I’m glad we did not buy too many clothes in advance because even though she was a very usual sized baby at birth she soon grew longs legs and big feet that could fit into nothing “onesie”. 3m pyjamas got too small when she was 1.5m and we had to switch to two-piece sets. Also note that some brands propose intermediate sizing which can be very handy (ex H&M) ! Best of luck to you and your family!!
I`ve had my son some time ago, and I still remember how intense those newborn times were! For me it was important to take advantage of sleeping while the baby slept (when possible), and also receive others´ help, because the baby demand is really big. I used to sleep with my baby in my bed because I felt like it was easier this way, and also felt like the baby felt more secure this way. Whatever, each mom makes her own experience and I think this is an intuitive journey... the important thing is patience and love! A big hug for you Meg, you are doing great🥰
Aww Sadie is so sweet! I feel you on the creaky hardwood floors. The tip toe dance is real! I like how you showed the moments for you in here. It's so important to nurture ourselves even in small ways postpartum (and beyond). Thanks for sharing!
I’m 3 1/2 months pregnant with my first child. I feel like no matter what I’ll never be truly ready, but these videos help give an idea of what a day might look like.
Sadie is beyond adorable! And those baby sounds are just heaven 🥰You're doing so well Meghan! I was still feeling so overwhelmed when my second son was 8 weeks old. My boys are now 9 and 3 years old 😄
Love this! I have a 4 week old and we have just been surviving and figuring things out so now I'm trying to figure out an actual routine for us so this was helpful. Thank you!
SAME! Baby girl is now 10 weeks old and we're still figuring out a routine that works for her and us. I'd love to be able to do other things while she sleeps, not just me lying next to her while she sleeps 😅
I love seeing your routine! You have come into motherhood so wonderfully and with such confidence. It's clear you did your research and are trusting your instincts! There are tough moments no doubt but I can tell you really have a good thing going! I would love to see a video about what you are loving for her and yourself postpartum (toys/self care/clothing/sleep related items/baby products) and anything really about your experience with motherhood! My boys are 2 years and 6 weeks! 🤗👦👶
Just entered my third trimester TODAY. The apprehension and anxiety is starting to set in- will I know what to do? Can I do this? Will I be bad at this? What if I can’t do it? Those kinds of thoughts. So I’m absorbing every bit of newborn advice I can and your videos always help ease my mind. I’m trying to accept that everyone’s routines will be different and what works for some may not work for others. But as a planner, I like to KNOW what I’m doing and I’m working to adjust my mindset and accept the fact that… there is no plan. There are only learning experiences and tailored adjustments. Thanks for opening up your lives to create this bit of content. I know that’s a sacrifice and you certainly don’t owe us that, so thank you. Sadie is beautiful. Well wishes to your growing family! ❤️
So sweet! That ice bear suit made me alsmost cry. My twins looked so adorable last year in their little ice bear suits. I have 1 year old twin daughters. This video looks so calm even tough I know how hard it can be and surely not calm at all. But how cliché it sounds, it's all so worth it! Can't live without them anymore. Sending much love❤ you and your husband are doing great and so is your pretty little daughter!
This was just super sweet to watch. My kids are now 15 and 11 and this just brought back so many sweet memories and also the memories of how challenging and tiring those early days are. You’re doing amazing ❤
Hi Meghan. Thank you for this lovely video 🥰 my daughter is 5 years old and and I am now 7 week pregnant 🤰🏻 I remember first weeks of my daughter were so physically and emotionally hard. But it all then gets better and better 🙂 for us it got tremendously better after setting a sleeping routine for her when she was 7 months old. Wish you all the best🥰
This was so lovely 😍 I'm 14 weeks pregnant and so overwhelmed already with all the information. I know every baby is different but you have put my mind at ease. I can't wait! I hope everything is going well.
I'm 2 months pregnant with my second child, we already have a 15yr old daughter...lol i know it's a huge gap. I kind of forgot what it was like to mother a newborn as they grow up super fast. You're video helped bring back those precious memories and now i don't feel so scared and nervous anymore, i'm excited. I'm sure baby's big sis will be a big help too! Thank you for sharing 💗
My little lady just turned 7 weeks! I'm so glad I came across this video when I did. I've been trying to figure out what to do with her when she's awake. Also, thanks for the inspiration and push to refocus (breastfeeding took all my focus) on her sleep because she's been super fussy. I noticed her wake windows were way too long making her overstimulated.
You are doing so well. We are having terrible nights with our 11 month old, he’s waking up every few hours 😢 my 6 year old sleeps all night now so I know it will pass but oh man it’s so hard x
Despite your figuring out motherhood (which you're doing such an amazing job at! 😍 ) and your lack of sleep, you still manage to put out videos for us! 🥰💗 Thank you so much, Meghan! You have such a beautiful little family. And your videos are always so inspirational to me. 🥰💞🤗
Aw, it's great to see you and Sean with your little girl😊. She's precious and you are a natural! Congratulations!! Would you be able/interested in making a video about how your recovery post birth and C-section has been? It is wonderful to see you doing so well after that challenging experience. Thank you!
What a sweet little video! I have a 2 yr old and 6.5 year old (both girls) and even 2 years later can't remember the newborn days that much :D Take care!!
This has been very helpful ao thank youuuu :) I have a newborn, she is 12 days today. First days were very rough, now I am quite anxious and emotional and your video helped a lot! I am also breastfeeding and hoping to get around 2 hours sleep slot for my baby, in general. Also a girl :) And I relate to your birthing story a lot, I also wanted natural one, but after an 11 hour labour we had to go to c section. So recovery is s bit hard and not expected but it is what it is. I am grateful for her and hope to have a routine in the next weeks :)
Awwww she's gorgeous..well done mumma! I found those first few weeks really hard too..my lil guy is now 6months and things are alot easier and so much fun too!!
Love the sweet sounds she makes as she finds her voice! This brings back so many special memories of my now 28 year old first born❤️ He and his wife are expecting their first. I am so excited to be a grandma!I had a rough time transitioning to motherhood, but I found my groove at about 6 weeks. Looking back, I think I was dealing with some postpartum depression and anxiety but at the time I didn't know that was a thing. Enjoy each and every moment. It goes by so quickly! It's true what they say, the days are long but the years are fast!
My first one- now 46, was a good sleeper-but the second one, 2 1/2/years later was not. I had little help, but I had to make it work. I miss those quiet times of nursing in the dark. My third one was a sleeper. My two older kids were in school when we had her. Precious times…
Oh Meghan congratulations, she is so sweet. I enjoyed watching this video which brought me right back 😀 My "baby" is now 24 and 6ft 3ins, where did that time go. Enjoy this glorious time, you're over the exhausting time to, as you said, 6 weeks. If you weren't so sleep deprived it might not be as hard 🤔 We only have one but people with more say each baby is different from the start, which I always thought as they are little individuals afterall. Enjoy 👶👼
Lovely video thank you for sharing!! I love how you take the time to continue to practice self care! So important 😊 I have a 3 year old, 18 month old, and currently pregnant again!
Love this. When I had my first, he was a very large baby (9 lbs, 14 oz) and so he would nurse for 90 minutes at a time. . .but he also spit up a LOT, so it felt like a waste to me and was tiring (and I bled from my nipples because of it). My 2nd was a 15 minute nurser which was a shock since I was used to longer. I am going to have another fourteen years later (a reverse vasectomy baby we have been trying for for four years since the surgery) so I really enjoyed this as a reminder of what it is like to have a newborn. You are doing a great job!!!! I think the hardest time is when they start teething since they are in such pain and just want to be held alllll the time (so I did so for the second while I had no idea what I was doing the first time), but the first few months are so nice to get used to. We are all awesome!! I love how you swaddle her like a pro!!!! I also love how you talk to her and teach her things while you do so. That is brilliant. Oh you asked ages. I have a 14 and 15 year old (he'll be 16 in a few weeks) and the one in the womb (17 weeks pregnant so far).
Thank you for this video ! My baby boy is almost 4 weeks. Unfortunately We’ve never been able to make him sleep in a swaddle or in his bedside bassinet yet (only way he fall asleep is with a booby in his mouth in mamas arm)…you give me hopes lol ! The first month was quite challenging as well and it is comforting to hear I am not alone to find it hard. Looking forward to how we will be more confident with some little thing at 2 months.
She's adorable! Congrats on baby sadie!:) also so for my son we got the loveevery box for the 1st year only. And it was very useful. U guys should check it out it comes w different toys and stuff to do with your baby. :)
I'm 41 weeks pregnant and can't wait to meet our little one! ❤ This video made me so calm and gave me hope about the first few weeks with the baby. Do you have some recommendations about sleeping sacks? I'm considering to buy one for us (haha, the baby of course). Good luck with everything ✨
My second baby had bad spit ups too I spoke to my doctor and he mentioned to put him upward position while feeding And 15-20 min held like a boat that way spit ups got in control Hope this works for you ❤
3 months pregnant now and honestly terrified for the newborn phase. Don’t have family in the area and neither daddy or mommy function well without sleep
Another great tip is you can put the vitamin D drop on your nipple right before breastfeeding (or bottle nipple)! My doctor recommended that and I did it with both my babies.😊
Haha with my first you’d find me with 3-4 blankets on my shoulder st all times. He would spit it what seemed like more than he ate. But he was a GREAt baby, my second wouldn’t spit up at all and was in so much pain for the first few weeks, I have heard spit up babies are much more content! Wonder if this is true!!! What a sweet babe and family!! I say 3 month is another mark that it gets easier again! Routines and naps and not being so tied down. How do you find leaving? It made us laugh so often when we’d want to leave it took us hour to finally lock that door and go!!!🤣
do you think Sadie was collicky at all? my god man, my girl Maevie didn't calm down til around...16 weeks?! but we think it was probably reflux, and i also had some low supply issues. now at 7 months she's super reasonable, and funny...still only juuuust sleeping through the night though! she's very excitable, i swear personality has a lot to do with it 😅 congrats, Sadie seems so lovely 🥰
Thankfully Sadie has not had any colic! She's a pretty chill baby. Just has some days where she spits up a bit more haha. I can only imagine how stressful it would be to have a colicky baby though!
My baby must sleep on my breast while breastfeeding, i don't know how to put her to sleep without her being on my breast How do you know when to stop while breastfeeding?
Aww.. It’s so heart warming to see you and your husband changing Sadie’s diaper. I miss those days, my son is now 3. Moments like that will make you really appreciate and love your husband more, I do and I am so very thankful to have mine. 🫶🏻
Don't worry about squeaky floors. It's good to get babies used to normal noises. I was actually able to vacuum without waking them!!

How are things going?
I have a 6 month old and I found this video incredibly relatable! Great job momma + dad! Enjoy every moment, it goes so quick!

Best of luck to you and your family!!
I’m a mom of 4 and you two as new parents is the cutest thing 😊 she’s adorable and you’re doing amazing ❤
Such a beautiful baby I’m currently 6 months pregnant and watching as many of these as I can to prepare myself
Hello one of the mommies 🙇♂️🙂🤍
I`ve had my son some time ago, and I still remember how intense those newborn times were! For me it was important to take advantage of sleeping while the baby slept (when possible), and also receive others´ help, because the baby demand is really big. I used to sleep with my baby in my bed because I felt like it was easier this way, and also felt like the baby felt more secure this way. Whatever, each mom makes her own experience and I think this is an intuitive journey... the important thing is patience and love! A big hug for you Meg, you are doing great🥰

It’s so good to see you take care of yourself. Because most times we neglect ourselves so this was great advice of your routine
I’m 3 1/2 months pregnant with my first child. I feel like no matter what I’ll never be truly ready, but these videos help give an idea of what a day might look like.
You and your husband are such good parents and your honesty is refreshing!
Thank you so much for positing! I’m 36 weeks and day in the life content is so helpful. ❤
Thank you for showing these things! It makes me feel confident and prepared for the future!

Hi Meghan, I'm 27 weeks pregnant and am enjoying these video's so much! You're a great mom. ❤️
Beautiful and tranquil, thank you for sharing.
Aww, she is adorable. Enjoy the newborn stage. It is the best 🥰
Sweet, this is soooo precious ❤
This was so lovely 😍 I'm 14 weeks pregnant and so overwhelmed already with all the information. I know every baby is different but you have put my mind at ease. I can't wait! I hope everything is going well.
I'm 2 months pregnant with my second child, we already have a 15yr old daughter...lol i know it's a huge gap. I kind of forgot what it was like to mother a newborn as they grow up super fast. My girls are 8 and 10 years old, so this feels like quite a long time ago for me. Your video brings me back to that precious time 🥰
Beautiful girl! You guys seem to be adjusting well.

You have such a beautiful little family. And your videos are always so inspirational to me. 🥰💞🤗
Aw thank you so much, and thanks for sticking around and watching!! ❤️
I needed this ❤Currently have a 2 week old and am a first time mum
Aw, it's great to see you and Sean with your little girl😊. She's precious and you are a natural! Congratulations!!
Would you be able/interested in making a video about how your recovery post birth and C-section has been? It is wonderful to see you doing so well after that challenging experience. Thank you!
Congrats, I’m glad you both good
the time with our baby is the best
What a sweet little video! I have a 2 yr old and 6.5 year old (both girls) and even 2 years later can't remember the newborn days that much :D Take care!!
I imagine I'll forget a lot of it! I already have some level of amnesia from the very early, rough days 😅
I’m having a scheduled c-section on Monday for my 4th and hearing all the baby noises is making my hormones go crazy. It goes by way too fast.
Sadie is sooooadorable and you look great!! Taking care of her like a pro.😏😁💞

You and your family is soo adorable.. so natural!! Loved the caption of ‘remembering the date for 15 seconds straight’😂😂
Thank you for posting this. I have a 6 week old and trying to figure out what our new routine is! 😅
Just found your channel. Currently 22 weeks pregnant and naming our baby girl Sadie!!!!! Loved the video💕
Heartwarming times hoping all is well these days!
This was such interesting insight to what it’s actually like, I loved the bit where you couldn’t remember what day it was.
Your daughter is just so cute. She has took my heart❤
Oh Meghan congratulations, she is so sweet. I enjoyed watching this video which brought me right back 😀 My "baby" is now 24 and 6ft 3ins, where did that time go.
Omg, she is too precious 🥹 You both are doing a great job!! Thanks for sharing this 💕
Thank you for this video !
☺️so precious!!!
Each kid is so different 💗
So beautiful!!! I really miss having a newborn at home
I'm 18 and I found myself here 😂😂😂😂❤
I hooe you and your family all the good things, be fine
Wow!! I think it's just wow to become a mother 🙃❤️👀
Loved watching this! ❤ such a beautiful family
My baby is 6 weeks old, thanx for the video and tips .. glad to see that I’m not alone in this 😊👍🏻👍🏻
Due next month what baby soap do you use
My second baby had bad spit ups too
I spoke to my doctor and he mentioned to put him upward position while feeding
And 15-20 min held like a boat that way spit ups got in control
Hope this works for you
❤
3 months pregnant now and honestly terrified for the newborn phase. Don’t have family in the area and neither daddy or mommy function well without sleep
Thank you...those words mean a lot! 3 weeks old and I feel like we are doing everything wrong!
Wishing you the best ❤
So sweet Baby
This is so beautiful ❤❤❤
This was very heartwarming 😍
Babies should cosleep (also napping where the parents are) until 6 months. This is to prevent SIDS.
I have a 5 week old, he’s been sleeping only an hour… why? Is that normal?
My kid is 29 but she was pregnant recently, had a my grandson Nov 3 😁
Another great tip is you can put the vitamin D drop on your nipple right before breastfeeding (or bottle nipple)! My doctor recommended that and I did it with both my babies.😊
I'm just like, well I could go into labor anytime from now😂😂..
It made us laugh so often when we’d want to leave it took us hour to finally lock that door and go!!!🤣
Aww she’s precious. I thought I was the only one who gives her baby vitamin d drops like that. Lol.
Soo cute ❤
Avoiding the “squeaky spots” 😅definitely something kids master while getting a snack in the middle of the night!
Hahah yes!!
do you think Sadie was collicky at all? my god man, my girl Maevie didn't calm down til around...16 weeks?! but we think it was probably reflux, and i also had some low supply issues. now at 7 months she's super reasonable, and funny...still only juuuust sleeping through the night though! she's very excitable, i swear personality has a lot to do with it 😅 congrats, Sadie seems so lovely 🥰
Thankfully Sadie has not had any colic! She's a pretty chill baby. Just has some days where she spits up a bit more haha. I can only imagine how stressful it would be to have a colicky baby though!
Wie viel Kilo gram ist dein Baby.
I love these videos also due to have C section in 10 days
Wishing you the best!! 💖💖💖
You are too cute!

My baby must sleep on my breast while breastfeeding, i don't know how to put her to sleep without her being on my breast
How do you know when to stop while breastfeeding?
💞😘🇮🇹😍🤗
yes but 8 weeks is not new newborn.
Maybe the mirror makes her nauseous, something like vertigo. Whoa... 🤢
Aww.. It’s so heart warming to see you and your husband changing Sadie’s diaper. I miss those days, my son is now 3. Moments like that will make you really appreciate and love your husband more, I do and I am so very thankful to have mine. 🫶🏻
We make a great team, that's for sure! ❤️
Stop breastfeeding that baby is so unhappy. Give that child a damn bottle and let the dad feed it
