Let's spend the next 24 hours together as I share what our daily routine looks like as first time parents with a newborn. 🤍 Do you currently have a newborn or you've already been through this stage? I want to hear what your routine looks like or any lessons you've learned along the way! 🫶
Nice video brings back memories of my son (33) and how happy and contented we were, basically you’re taking care of your baby, I did nap when he napped in the beginning, do you try that.? You must take good care of all of you, I love that Christopher has his bottle with him first thing. Congratulations you are doing great.
Congratulations! I've been through newborn stage twice and watched a lot of baby content. Never have I ever seen a co-sleeper/crib on dad's side before. Curious how you came to this choice and what the pro's are!
Congratulations 🎉 m happy for u…. I have been on your journey and had similar heartbreaking experience 2 years back… but now blessed with baby boy who is 6 months old and have such a busy and lovely time with my boy…. Babies grow old soo fast… enjoy your journey ❤ lots of love to both of u 😊
I hope new moms don’t feel discouraged by this video. To me, it’s so unrealistic and unrelatable. I’m on leave with my 3rd baby and I’m so tired in the mornings I don’t even have a chance to shower or get myself ready, my husband works and can’t take the baby all morning let alone go for walks, I can barely get 5 oz in 30 mins pumping, and baby wakes up 3 times a night. Know everyone’s different but if anyone feels like me, please know you’re not alone.
Plus her baby doesn’t cry at all! Like, what does she want to do? Help other moms or show her day, because it’s perfect? I don’t think I can believe that her baby spends the whole day without crying. That’s the most difficult part, in my opinion: to tolerate the yelling and to understand the baby is just willing to communicate. It’s super stressful.
I am 53 and my kids are 23, 32, and 34. My middle child had his first baby after several rounds of IVF with his wife. I am blessed enough to be trusted to care for my granddaughter while her parents work. She is now 11 months own and the absolute light of my life. I never thought it was possible to have love like this. I cant even describe how incredibly special it is. The time goes so very, very fast. The saying is so true that the days are long, but the years are short. Embrace each moment and each stage. Oliver is precious. I love his emotional support hand. 💚
I love physical books, but since having a baby I’ve found that having a kindle makes reading so much easier! I can read while nursing and my hand doesn’t get tired at all!
I know physical books are soooo appealing, but I bet you’d LOVE a kindle! One-handed reading will be so useful during the early days of round the clock breastfeeding and contact naps. You’re doing great! ❤
Perfect video showing a day-in-the-life with Oliver. THIS is amazing content, perhaps one of your best videos ever! So nice to see how you & Christopher work together and also create your own individual customs with your son. Well done!
It makes me so happy to see yall. I’ve been watching you guys for years. And it’s so fun seeing you guys go through all the ups and downs and changes. Yall look so happy. And I’m so happy for you guys!
I'm loving these slow morning videos with baby! I have two boys and it can be so hard to have a slow morning. But I love seeing how you are as a mother and just cherishing each moment without rushing. Cant wait to see more videos with you showing your routines in motherhood❤️
Awww, 31 weeks along with my second baby, and this is simultaneously giving me nostalgia for when my toddler was this age and excitement for getting to meet our next little guy. Thank you for sharing your experience; it's so lovely to watch!
I love watching baby videos. I can’t wait until the day I’m blessed with a baby. I know God is working on things and in the perfect timing everything will fall into place.
I never got out with my babies much, and it took a huge toll on my mental health. I also never took a moment for myself. It was a struggle but my babies and I made it. I have 9, 6, and 2 year olds. You're off to a great start and baby Oliver is just so so precious ❤ take care!!
Congratulations girl! I watched the video of you with your first trimester and i’m happy to know you had a healthy delivery. May God continue to guide and bless you and your family.
I love this video but I’m super obsessed with the way you organized the nursery drawers with clothes and diapers and using labels. Do you have a video on how you did all that?
You guys are doing awesome! Glad you got over that nursing "hump". I remember it, around 6 weeks I was ready to give up, but then it got much better. The pumps are improved now too.
Ashlynne, thank you so much for sharing this video. It was so special to see you and Christopher working together as partners and parents. What you two have is truly an inspiration. I’ve been here many years now and today was the first time I’ve ever read a rude comment. I wanted to be defensive because I was offended for your little family. I don’t like conflict so I just kept my thoughts to myself and prayed. I want to send encouragement y’all’s way and say you’re doing such a great job! Also your purple flowers on your patio were so nice to admire. 🙏🏻💜
I can't watch the full video but it's not because of you. It's definitely just a sore spot for me since I didn't get much physical support and I felt like postpartum was the most dehumanizing experience because I rarely got to shower, eat, feel human, have 5 seconds alone, etc. I'm happy you guys were able to find something that works for you. We're expecting baby 2 and I am definitely not ready for the newborn phase again. I LOVED the newborn phase without the dehumanizing aspect where I could not do anything for myself 😅
Yes the nursing can be so difficult! I shed many tears as well! I will say I do think some babies naturally nurse easily and others don’t. One of my sons and I really struggled. But my other son from moments after birth nursed like a champ.
Omg this is so adorable! Makes me miss the newborn days with baby, all that bonding and getting used to being a family. I love watching you guys together as a family. So excited for all the new content ❤
I’m pregnant with baby #2 due in September. You’re doing so amazing! Breastfeeding is hard. I took it one week at a time and ended up breastfeeding for 13 months. When my daughter was about 10 weeks old, I started taking her to story time at the library. It was a nice free activity. They have baby times with songs. Lots of fun! She loved watching all the other kids. We still go to different story times at least once a week and she’s almost 2.
Love this times a thousand! So glad you are taking time to enjoy this stage. I took lots of time, but looking back, I could have taken more and wish I would've. It goes so fast! Love seeing God's blessing on you and your husband and the sweetness of it all. Thanks for sharing!
This video was so beautiful and relaxing to watch. Fellow new mama here- my baby girl is 6 weeks old today! Thanks for your encouraging words about breastfeeding- we’re still figuring it out but hoping we can reach this level of calm and routine soon!
I just became a mom 10 days ago and my routine is far from this. Don’t want to compare or complain though but even with help of my MIL I have just enough time for shower and chores like laundry, sterilizing bottles and pumping. I watch RUclips while breastfeeding sometimes as it calms me. All moms are heroes 🎉
What you said about underestimating breastfeeding is so common! I was the same way. It was such a huge learning curve but with my second baby I had that super easy/natural experience right off the bat since I knew so much more (and she was just better at it than my son). Between the two of them I’ve breastfed for 2 years now and it’s been such a beautiful experience!
This was really nice to watch! I’m expecting my first baby (week 26) but I have no clue how the first time will or could be. So nice to see how your days look like. Hope to see more of this! Thanks!
I found breastfeeding difficult too. I decided to pump everything. Until my son was about 12 weeks old. It's a whole story. I wish you all the best and much love. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for making this and making it so detailed- I took notes. It really takes seeing it to understand what a day in the life looks like- I had no idea it was this many feedings/ changing/ naps....I was exhausted by the time you had breakfast lol- but really good to see how it can look and some ideas on how a dad can help even if he has to work during the day. 💕 I have 3 more months until I'm in your shoes- thank you!!
What a beautiful video!! I know these are the good parts that you share and have some difficult times as well. But seriously you make it look so easy! Thank you for sharing with us!
Awww thanks for sharing. How beautiful ... I have just been blessed with a new granddaughter...three weeks early. And both Mummy and Baby are doing well. ..you look so happy and content with Oliver....so happy for you all..Make those memories xx
Awww, so sweet! I so remember those days! And reading while nursing was such a wonderful time for me. My daughter would sleep after nursing, so I got extra time with her sleeping on me while I read. I told the gals at the local bookstore that I read while nursing and they got really into it--suggested books for me, etc. It was really fun to kind of share the experience with my community!
He Ashlynne, it's so nice to see you with your baby, loved watching it! And also a not so related question, you quickly mentioned your hair. May I ask what your hair routine is, products etc. I just discovered I have wavy hair and am on a whole journey to figure out how to treat it and since I have fine hair like you, I thought you might have some tips :) Have a lovely rest of your day!
You’re doing great! I always talked to my children and that really helps with growth. I always liked taking them in the carriage fora walk ,fresh air was great for both of us! God bless you! Your husband also! You are the best parents! Oliver so cute!
Wow! Oliver is such a good baby! My first daughter (she is now 25, a doctor and married) never slept a whole night until the age of 3 and she used to wake up 3 to 5 times a night. At first I used to breastfeed her exclusively but I got so exhausted that I finally gave it up when she was three months old. I used to blame myself, thinking I did not have enough milk and so she was hungry all the time. But it turns out she was an incredibly active and intelligent child. My second was better and started sleeping the night at around 6 months old. She is now 20.
Every baby is so different!! I really just think we got lucky with a baby that loves sleep 🙈 But probably means we’re in for it whenever we have our next 😅
I tracked everything with our two children as well. I had worked in childcare and was a nanny before having our children, so it was natural for me to write down diaper changes nap times feeding times et cetera Of course, This was in '97 and 2000, before cell phones/apps. I had made a zyrox copy for a baby binder and had made hundreds of copies, one for every day... I had included a little bit of art on each page... And filled out A. fresh page for each day to log down all of those details. The binders are a sweet memory to look back on! It is kind of surreal to think I could tell you rn, feeding times and amounts, diaper changes and naps....and then special things about the day when say our son was 3 months and 4 days old ha ha. I kept these binders up for each of our children until even-well much after- their first year.. Both of our children were big sleepers as well and I used to tell people they liked their sleep like me ha ha Our daughter slept through the night when she was born and I used to worry I should be waking her to feed her but she just would sleep and sleep. Our son would take three hour naps when he was a toddler! To this day, they still love their sleep❤❤ That is SOO wonderful you are able to succeed at breastfeeding, that you had such greatsupport. Our son never did successfully latch on well and our daughter was not an eager eater in the beginning so it was very hard for me. I dealt with a lot of guilt not breastfeeding them. It is so wonderful to see the support tht people have now and also, tht there is no judgment either way!! You are a wonderful mom and so much Of what you do reminds me of how I felt and what I used to do😊❤ God bless your your sweet family❤❤ P.S. Aren’t those bouncy seats wonderful? ( A staple that has stuck around for forever) I also love the new-to-me trend of baby wearing/carrier napping/contact napping. I think that was just beginning to become popular after our daughter was born in two thousand so I missed out on that!
Thank you so much for sharing. And breastfeeding/bottle is never something to feel guilty about. Sounds like you did what was best for your family. 🤍🤍 And yes!! Love our bouncer 🥰🥰
Wow I caught this early 🤣. I’ve been wanting to give some (unsolicited, sorry, ik 😅) parenting advice coming from a teenager, for when little Oliver grows up a bit, about any future school work. He’s gonna receive a lot of pressure to do well in school. Especially if he already pressures HIMSELF to do well, the last thing he needs is pressure from his parents. My dad always put pressure on me, while my mom was actually the one who would tell me to go outside and play 😅. It took a lot of habit-unlearning to unwind myself from that mindset of giving it my all in my schoolwork. I’d say a really good general rule is: give 90% of your total effort. You need energy for things that are important, and his life doesn’t need to be school. He needs energy to spend with his family and friends too :) just wanted to say that, because I know a lot of parents put a ton of pressure on their kids to do well in school, but i know you’ll do great :)))
Ashlynne, so sweet to see how the three of you operate as a family on a typical day. I have a 12 week old boy, and was wondering at what point you got Oliver to sleep through the night without feeds? We have to wake up our son every 4-5 hours to eat otherwise he wakes up super cranky out of hunger. I also need to feed/pump that often to keep up my supply, and I don’t even have to output that you seem to (kind jelly, not gonna lie😅). Did you ever wake to pump/feed in the night, and if so, how did you transition Oliver to sleeping a straight 8 hrs (or was it just natural on his part?). Thanks in advance, and keep up the great work as a parent!
That’s totally normal! Every baby is different. But I do think Oliver is on the early side when it comes to sleeping as much as he does. He loves sleep just like mom 🤍🤍
Just be prepared that this may change... But DEFINITELY enjoy it esp in the beginning as some moms don't have the same luck.. lol 2 under 2 here, my NB sleeps much better than my older she sleeps 5-6 hrs sometimes longer if I can dream feed. My 1st was 3-4 hrs religiously. I weaned her from overnight feeds & into regular milk @ 11 mths but currently her year regression & growth spurt is kicking my butt. It's hard when they're both awake/fussing but so thankful even for now that at least #2 sleeps a bit longer 🙌🏽 I hope she always will be a good sleeper but I'm prepared for her 4 mths regression 🫣
So many judgy comments 😅 my first slept great like that too, and my next 3 were pretty good sleepers too! Also had sooo much milk, a blessing but not comfortable and can make nursing difficult, especially in the beginning! You’re doing so great! Oliver is so precious and I’m so happy for you guys! ❤❤
Some really weird comments here! Lovely video Ashlynne, really nice to see what a typical day looks like for you now. I have two beautiful kids well past baby stage but what a wonderful time, i loved it. Enjoy ☺️ xx
All the other commenters are impressed with the sleeping/breastfeeding and all I want to know is, what's your recipe for the burger bowls?? The one thing mentioned with no link! They look tasty!
Eggs and soldiers! Is that what you call them? We had them for the first time in New Zealand in 2018 and make them all the time now! Also, how sweet is Oliver?? Especially all bundled up. Omg brings back the new born memories 🥹❤
Great video! And welcome to. Motherhood ❤️ I must admit I am a bit jealous my 12 week old boy only sleeps on me even at night 😅 enjoy all the free hands time you have! However I love having this little munchkin. Can't wait to watch your journey whilst I am experiencing the same ❤
Hello Ashley I am very happy to see your video you are the best mom I just knew it from the start because of your personality and your husband is excellent also you both made the best parents for your special baby that has been blessed by God for you both God and you exactly where he was taking this beautiful baby of yours to a beautiful home a loving home a clean home and you took everything in full control everything was just so perfect it looked like you were made to be a mother and a wife and a person to clean your house and keep everything cozy and clean because you did everything perfectly you are so perfect in everything you do God bless you and your husband and your beautiful blessing baby God bless you and thank you for sharing your beautiful baby with us I know it makes us very happy to see what a beautiful baby that God has blessed you with thank you for sharing him God bless you and may God continue watching over you your husband and your baby at all times may God's eyes be on you all taken care of you and his arms around you keeping you all safe love you
During the day, yes (and still do). But once Oliver regained his birthweight our doctor said we were able to let him sleep a longer stretch at night. So after the one-week mark (when he hit it), we were able to let him sleep for as long as he was able to one time and that’s gradually gotten longer so that now he sleeps 7-8 hours straight at night. 🤍
You're doing great!! I don't think I brushed my teeth or made the bed for quite a while after our daughter was born. 😆 it looks like you're settling into motherhood so well!!!
...to think that in the 80s and before then, we had no apps, so phones like that, no owlets, no wraps- we used receiving blankets, no special nursing pillows, no vitamins for new borns, disposable diapers were just coming in and many of us used clothe diapers except for when going out. there were no special chairs for the babies. there was a swing that u had to wind up about every 5 minutes.
Some things were easier though. In the 80’s people also had outside for older kids. Now HOA’s throw a fit if you have a basketball hoop up and people call CPS if kids are out alone.
Such a nice calming routine. Especially the morning. You are a perfect team when it comes to caring for oliver.❤ I have three little ones right now (5 y, 3 y and 4 month) so our mornings are quite different (we started at 4.45 am today) and i can never get my baby (or even the older two) to go to sleep on their own.😅 Also we are out numberd with 3 kids and 2 adults. What i was missing is any advice on spending time with god. I love your inspiration on that topic, as i loved your bible study time before baby.

Let's spend the next 24 hours together as I share what our daily routine looks like as first time parents with a newborn. 🤍 Do you currently have a newborn or you've already been through this stage? I want to hear what your routine looks like or any lessons you've learned along the way! 🫶

This comment is gold. ❤❤❤

@@jadenunes20 you’re right. She didn’t really show us 24 hours with a new born 😂😂😂 she showed us about an hour with perfect lighting and angles

Hi Ashlynne! Love the camera! You look even more amazing! Can you tell us how do you do it?
The eye contact and bonding during nursing is priceless, it makes you slow down with your baby.
I love physical books, but since having a baby I’ve found that having a kindle makes reading so much easier! I can read while nursing and my hand doesn’t get tired at all!
Same!! And I love that it's backlit so it's not too bright for my husband in the middle of the night
What a dream, and what a cooperative baby!! He looks incredibly alert already, how lovely!
He really is such a sweet and easy baby 🤍
I know physical books are soooo appealing, but I bet you’d LOVE a kindle! One-handed reading will be so useful during the early days of round the clock breastfeeding and contact naps. You’re doing great! ❤
I have a candle and it's been so convenient!! Use it whenever I don't already have the physical book 🤍🤍
Gosh this is so lovely and peaceful ❤. My little boy screamed for pretty much every minute he was awake for the first two months 😅 x
Super grateful Oliver has been a really easy baby. But every baby is just to different 🤍🤍
Oh my Heart. You 3 had me in tears, such a sweet family. What a Blessing to see such a Loving family.

Motherhood suits you so well Ashlynne! You’re doing a fantastic job ❤️
Your newborn almost sleeps eight hours a night?! You guys have it so easy you have no idea!😊
I love this video but I’m super obsessed with the way you organized the nursery drawers with clothes and diapers and using labels. Do you have a video on how you did all that?
I do!! Organized the dresser (and did some other baby prep) in this video: ruclips.net/video/Iaxr3SviGpA/видео.htmlsi=F_M5qBa4XmdcUwme

When cooking remember to turn the pot handle in so when your child is older not as easily reached
Great tip!!

Yes!! 🙌 It takes a while to get the hang of! Good to know it comes more easily the second time around 🥰
This was really nice to watch! I’m expecting my first baby (week 26) but I have no clue how the first time will or could be. So nice to see how your days look like. Hope to see more of this! Thanks!
I found out recently I’m pregnant! I’m 5 weeks pregnant so still very early but love videos like this!
I could watch this over and over again. Fantastic work! 🔄❤
I found breastfeeding difficult too. I decided to pump everything. Until my son was about 12 weeks old. It's a whole story. I wish you all the best and much love. ❤❤❤
Curly tip: try a denman brush! Changed everything for me

Love that!! We're a big fan of walks too!
What a beautiful season. Nothing like the newborn phase.
Does the cold brew give u energy and does it wake u up?
Ahhhh you took my video suggestion! ❤❤❤❤loved the video btw
Hehe yes!! So glad you enjoyed it 🥰
his little cry 🥹🥹🥹 i still don’t know how your baby sleeps for so long already!! i am trying to get mine but he is such a mover
Every baby is so different!! I really just think we got lucky with a baby that loves sleep 🙈 But probably means we’re in for it whenever we have our next 😅
Is he typically swaddled?
@@1027vvergara yeah
I let my kids nap anywhere and everywhere as well. (Supervised). Sometimes it’s the only thing that works. Congrats on your new life changes!
You have a very strong bonding ❤i love to see how you interact with your son ,Its all about that 🥰
I tracked everything with our two children as well.
To this day, they still love their sleep❤❤
That is SOO wonderful you are able to succeed at breastfeeding, that you had such greatsupport. Our son never did successfully latch on well and our daughter was not an eager eater in the beginning so it was very hard for me. I dealt with a lot of guilt not breastfeeding them. It is so wonderful to see the support tht people have now and also, tht there is no judgment either way!!
You are a wonderful mom and so much Of what you do reminds me of how I felt and what I used to do😊❤ God bless your your sweet family❤❤
You are doing great! Wonderful you take a bit of time for you even though it is probably only a few minutes! Congratulations again!
Thank you for sharing a little bit about your beautiful family with us, Oliver is absolutely precious and you are doing great mama! ❤
Awww thank you!! 🥰
12 ounces it 10 minutes is crazy!! good job mama 😍
Thanks, guys, for sharing this with us. Really enjoyed seeing this. He is a gorgeous baby and has loving, great parents ❤
Thank you for sharing 🤍🤍
OMG! 'm 28 and considering to have one of my own. Thanks for this video, is so beatiful I almost cry!
Did you mention how many weeks he is? I have a 3 week newborn and curious what week your son is 🙏
Lovely video, Ashlynne! Oliver seems like such a sweetheart! Makes me excited about my baby girl coming in September :)
Aww congratulations!! That is so sweet 🥰
That’s insane he’s sleeping that much so young. My six month old doesn’t even sleep 8 hours straight.
His little hand out of the swaddle :') ❤❤
I know 😭😭
So many judgy comments 😅 my first slept great like that too, and my next 3 were pretty good sleepers too!
Enjoy ☺️ xx
Thank you!!
This was such a lovely watch… Im so glad for you and yr little family. Much love and blessings. Xx
All the other commenters are impressed with the sleeping/breastfeeding and all I want to know is, what's your recipe for the burger bowls?? The one thing mentioned with no link! They look tasty!
Ashlynne, my Philippine vacation is finally comes to an end!🇵🇭🇵🇭
Hope you enjoyed it!
Doing a great job mom and dad. Isn't GOD amazing! Oliver is so sweet and handsome. What a beautiful family. Congratulations. ❤❤❤
Love how u explain through out the videos❤
You guys are doing great! I think I'm seeing Christopher's face on little Olivers?
You are definitely right. Daddy’s mini me 🤍
Eggs and soldiers! Is that what you call them? We had them for the first time in New Zealand in 2018 and make them all the time now! Also, how sweet is Oliver?? Especially all bundled up. Omg brings back the new born memories 🥹❤
What a fun name! I grew up calling them “dippy toast” because that’s what you do with the bread. But I think that was a family name 😂
Would you be willing to expand on how the liquid gold works - have you used it for long? I’m a new mom & pumping/breastfeeding is really rough :)

What kind of plants do you have outside? 😍
Ashlynne Eaton, amazing video it was really entertaining
Lovely vlog, congratulations on baby Oliver💖💖
For the first 6 weeks did you feed baby every 2-3 hours? I’m dreading this :(
During the day, yes (and still do). 🤍
@@AshlynneEatonsounds like a dream! That’s awesome.
You're doing great!! I don't think I brushed my teeth or made the bed for quite a while after our daughter was born. 😆 it looks like you're settling into motherhood so well!!!
how do you breastfeed when you are out & about? i struggle with that part
What a lovely day. Blessings to you and your fami!y.
...to think that in the 80s and before then, we had no apps, so phones like that, no owlets, no wraps- we used receiving blankets, no special nursing pillows, no vitamins for new borns, disposable diapers were just coming in and many of us used clothe diapers except for when going out. there were no special chairs for the babies. there was a swing that u had to wind up about every 5 minutes.
Honestly hats off to all you who did that!! 🙌
Some things were easier though. In the 80’s people also had outside for older kids. Now HOA’s throw a fit if you have a basketball hoop up and people call CPS if kids are out alone.
One of your best videos ❤ loved it
Yay glad to be watching this video ❤
Such a nice calming routine. Especially the morning. You are a perfect team when it comes to caring for oliver.❤ I have three little ones right now (5 y, 3 y and 4 month) so our mornings are quite different (we started at 4.45 am today) and i can never get my baby (or even the older two) to go to sleep on their own.😅 Also we are out numberd with 3 kids and 2 adults.
What i was missing is any advice on spending time with god. I love your inspiration on that topic, as i loved your bible study time before baby.
My newborns name is Oliver, too! Love your video.
