    Merci beaucoup.

      Thank you for watching and your question. When it comes to eating them, there are things to watch for and time of year here where I’m from is when we decide to eat them. But basically, most of what we trap is eaten when possible.

    Very nice catch! Well done! That is a tremendous amount of pressure taken off the native wildlife and the land, big relief for the habitat. If the animals around there could talk they would be thanking y'all for saving the neighborhood, lol! When I have to leave pigs out for the buzzards, coyotes, and other clean-up critters, I take a knife and make a couple end to end deep cuts in the pigs. The difference in the time it takes for the animals to be gone is huge. Most scavengers can't get through that tough pig hide so the carcasses rot and insects go crazy. Making big cuts let's the scavengers dig right in and eat them up before millions of flies are hatched. Most of the time, every carcass will be gone before the insects can even get started. Of course, it's worse in warm weather.
    Congrats on that big haul! Nice job!

    It's called "Pest Control"!! No different from controlling insects or rodents. In the UK they have a problem with American Grey Squirrels because a couple of centuries ago, some dumbbell thought it would be a good idea to take some over to England! When I moved into my current home, I discovered that I had a mouse problem. The Cat I had at the time went right to work taking care of it!

    Ive seen some other hog trapping videos where a hog successfully jumped the fence part of the trap. It makes me wonder, why don't the companies that make these traps take that into consideration in the basic design? Seems so fundamental to me.

    Have you guys ever tried using a ladder so you can shoot over the fence? Watching these videos and I always see everyone shooting through fence panels. I think it might be easier if one was on some kind of a stepping ladder. Wouldn't have to be a very big one. Also, I was wondering, does shooting at the pigs do damage to the trap? I always think if a bullet hits it that it will do quite a bit of damage, especially after the course of time. Enjoy your videos, keep them coming! You're making me want to get in on the fun!

    Imagine this batch of hogs multiplying. Stopping hogs from multiplying is most important for the US farmers. There should be no limits to hog catching and hunting. It will become an epidemic. Imagine 100,000,000 (one hundred million) of them chewing up your lawn and all the farmers fields. An infestation of diseases that must be stopped. Canada has monster size boars that have entered the US without a Passport. They are mating with the US female boars. The Gaul.

      @hollyridgehomestead  Год назад +4

      Yes it was 43 wild feral pigs. No it’s not genocide. These are animals, not people. To maintain the current population of wild feral pigs, it is estimated that 70% have to be removed each year. This is done so our farm lands, ranch lands and agricultural can continue to grow our food, produce products like toilet paper, etc. I hope this helps the understanding of removing an over populated nuisance animal.
