  • Emergency on Landowners property with 19 wild hogs. The landowner has so many wild feral hogs just in this one location tearing up the front yard. We hope to catch many more wild pigs and wild boars before hunting season.

I upvote every hog trapping/hunting video I watch. These land roaches need lots of determined work to try and keep their crazy numbers capped. It's almost like they can eat dirt and sticks or anything in a junkyard and get bigger.

Their numbers are exploding. We need more trappers that will do it correctly. But we will never be able to get rid of them in my lifetime.

In summation of the other 2 responses; these beasts are the descendants of domestic pigs that either escaped or were just let loose...in some cases 2 or more centuries ago. They quickly evolved into these long-snouted, big-tusk, razorback aggressive beasts you see today! Yes, they are dangerous and destructive. I believe that there are a few instances of people getting killed by these things!

It's something we here have been dealing with a long time. So far this is the only way to catch them effectively. You can't catch just a few at a time. They are very smart and won't come in. We pratice the "Whole Sounder Catch", not "Catch What You Can". Takes a lot of patience.

Was that your daughter in the video helping lift the pigs at the end? If so, you should remind her to wear gloves when handling the pigs. If you have a cut on your skin, they can transmit diseases, so it's a good idea to protect against that. Also, I'd be interested to see a time lapse of coyotes or other animals eating the pigs that are dispatched and put into the woods. That would make a really interesting video.

We have quite a few pig farms though that’s bad enough sometimes can’t even go out doors because of the smell closest one from my house is 3 miles but if the wend is just right you would think it’s right a in your backyard.
