@@ramdas363 Next time it'll be a giant breakdancing competition, man vs. hog, where both man and beast alike will dance for turf. But to your point, I represented two of the 4 aggressive hogs' families in a lawsuit seeking damages for the dispatch of the alpha hogs & expert veterinarian psychiatrists (one a sow herself) concluded that both aggressive hogs did in fact suffer from mental illness brought on by Trichinosis & were subject to bouts of rage. The second hog deleted in that cage actually had 4 warrants & wasn't allowed near piglets unsupervised.
There's a trust set up by the feed company who provide the bait, which offers grief counselling to those who need it. We have a similar non-profit in Italy, located in Tuskany. We tried opening one near Hogwarts in London, but can't find it. Like the dearly departed hogs, we kept bouncing off of the wall every time we rushed into it.

@@tony98discovery I live at surf beach in Sydney, Australia. Couple hours out of Sydney, sure, feral pigs are a problem. Also feral goats, feral sheep, feral donkeys, feral camels, introduced deer. Everything is fair game with no season. The wild rabbits are all infected with 3 different viruses that have been released to try control wild rabbit populations.

I like David and his mission to fatten the citizens on free hog meat but: he will always overload every piece of equipment and break it; he will almost always forget to bring a useful or important tool; and he will usually have extra problems from forgetfulness, disorganization and lack of timely maintenance. I'm not religious. Does prayer fix all that or does it act as introspection to adjust the behavior of the individual asking so that they begin to help themself? That's a rhetorical question.
David, lest you think I'm merely criticizing, let me offer a suggestion. Since servicing a hog trap almost always requires certain things and since you use multiple vehicles to do so, why not create a permanent, weatherproof storage box on each vehicle that houses the always needed items that can reasonably be duplicated such as rubber boots, work gloves, rubber gloves, spare drinking water, sunscreen, sunglasses, etc. For items that could not be reasonably or economically duplicated, make a checklist that's in each vehicle, maybe on the inside of the storage box lid for the other tools and equipment that are essential such as guns and ammo, pocket drags, corn, trap and monitor tools and spares, etc. I know this sounds like a service truck for a utility and it is. A similar approach to periodic maintenance schedules for vehicles and equipment will save time, money and aggravation over time but for some personalities it's too confining, lacking that spur of the moment, carefree spirit of adventure that they crave or require. Of course, that adventure usually manifests as a breakdown or surprise failure of some kind. 🥴 Hopefully, this is at least food for thought.

@@heehaw8401 Yeah me too. In 30 years I have yet to have any wild hog that was actually worth eating if they are more than 4-5 months old. Unfortunately they are extremely tough and grisly, and they take on the flavor of the brush, roots or tree bark that’s most available to them(they will literally eat everything no matter how nasty it tastes or how hard it is to chew) the young ones aren’t bad, but even they will get real gamey flavor and have to be buried in herbs and rubs to mask it. I have even seen some farmers grind them up for dog food and the dogs won’t eat it!

We keep it under an equipment shed and it is so easy to load buckets in the Mule and go. I thoroughly enjoy watching what you do.
