I'm a Democrat from New York but more importantly I've been a chef for 25 years what you're doing is amazing and please keep it up!!! People don't realize that this is a horrible invasive species that is literally taking over so much land they destroy everything in their path from crops to homes to fences they attack children dogs What you're doing is amazing and unfortunately most people won't even eat that meat even if you got them out that day processed and put into a restaurant because Americans are so fussy about what they eat White tasteless fish nasty chicken we destroyed pigs where they have no fat left in them and the meat is pink instead of red
I'm impressed you made mention of how you let them calm down before they are killed Pigs are highly intelligent animals, they would know what is in-store for them and to let them calm down before they died is humanity at it's best - well done! That is not an easy thing to do especially considering how must of a pest these creatures have become and how people just want them gone at any cost and will often forget they are still animals with an awareness of their own mortality
I was thinking if these pigs were so intelligent, why would they let themselves be caught like this??? They should know by now any man-made structure means death.
Great to have you back David. Thank You for your new videos and for your continued mission of ridding us of these nuisance hogs and feeding families when you are not helping out researchers.
Feeding families? I see that mentioned a lot on these hog-trapping videos. But aren't wild hogs like this likely to harbour dangerous infections or parasites of various kinds? Is their meat really safe for human consumption?
@David Ellis: Yaat Yaat: Have you ever had one of those crazy, big hogs jump over the top rail of the trap? I've been watching y'all for a while; and, some of them look like they get awful close. My in-laws live on 600 acres of cattle/pine tree & crops in Georgia. They trap & hunt hogs too. The damage they're capable of is hard to understand unless you experience it. The taste of pork BBQ, cooked underground all night, is hard to appreciate unless you experience it as well! Yummy! 😋

David, I lived in the N.C mountains on my grandparents Homestead farm. This is partly how families in this area get through our winters there. The gardens and farm animals are the difference of going hungry or not. The hogs are a menace to everyone there.
I once got 7 boars. All about 45 lbs. The buzzards had their bones shinning in 2 days flat. My grandfather used to joke NOT to lie down for a nap. Keep moving...!
My uncle once gave us a shoulder piece from a huge old boar. It was meant for the dogs eaten raw. However one day I came home from school with a note to put a roast into oven for dinner. But I grabbed the old boar by mistake. Then went to work in the garden. The stench in house took MONTHS to clear out
