Taiyo Astroneering (Nova):
Z-Machine 4000
Taiyo 2x2 Battlestation (you can actually see he added this to his ship at 6:41 but forgot to mention it in the video)
Cabot C4 Bridge
Nova Galactic (New Homestead):
Nova Mess Hall 2x3 (you must attach to your ship in the same way as the other unique hab, it it gives you an error about docking port height then throw it on top)
Slayton (Akila City)
SAE-5550.....but if you are level 50 (which you should be before attempting to bulld this) you can actually grab the SAE-5560 which is a bit better!
Other notes:
I would swap to the Aurora 13G if you have the level for it to give you a little boost in thrust.
I would also use the Vanguard Bulwark Shield Generator. You can buy it from New Atlantis after completing the Vanguard quest line.
Last but not least are the weapons. You should use the PBO-175 Auto Helion Beams. They are EXPENSIVE but do more damage, fire faster, and cost less to fully power!

How are you able to get the vendors to sell these parts
@JasonPearce1441 what do you mean exactly? Does it say mobility is too low? If you use the maximum amount of engines (Aurora 13G) then you should be totally fine. You may have to play around with landing gear. You can swap out one of the side mounted pieces that he adds for the beefier version.
@@mrunknown138 are you the correct level? Make sure you have starship engineering 4 and that you are also at least level 49. For the Vanguard weapons/shield, you must finish their quest line to be officially "inducted" into the Vanguard.

is it true if you get your ship landing pad on your outpost you can use the ship builder and have access to every ship building item in the game without having to travel to every system

5200 Cargo and Auto weapons melt anything that gets near me.
Does he actually do math on the weapons? I know math and spreadsheets are the Kryptonite of lazy RUclipsrs. The weapons with the best DPS are as follows:
PBO-175 Auto Helion Beam
Vanguard Obliterator Autoprojector
Exterminator 95MeV Auto Helion Beam
In that order. None of those is class C because Class C weapons are mostly inferior. You cannot do more damage then with those three weapons right now
What level do you need to be for the Z-Machine 4k? I only see the 1k,2k, and 2020. I'm level 34 with rank 4 in Ship Design and rank 3 in Piloting

Is that right? I’ve got level 4 starship and level 3 pilot but only in mid 20s on level and can’t find the reactor
If you press down on the d pas while hovering over something you can equip and keep holding it you can scroll through and could from the bottom up which part is the class you are and equip it

I would note that you need to be a certain level to even see the reactors. I went through the trouble of leveling my Design skill, just to not be able to buy the first item listed for another 15 levels :(
*EDIT* Came back to this guide after reaching level 50, and all i can say is awful!!!!. Damn near every piece this guy recommends isn't found at your own ship building station. Every other part i was having to fly to Titan, Deimos, Akila, or New Atlantis to acquire. How do you make a guide and do zero research on when/where you can get the necessary items? Last video of his i ever watch, hurts my soul knowing he got clicks out of me for this trash.

That's what I'm waiting for. Some say narwhal but it has weak cargo, some say renegade 3 but it's MIA, some say stronghold and add good weapons, I just want everything the star eagle delivers but more cargo in a C class. The only thing I lack currently is more cargo space because I'm using all of the captains box, storage crates, weapon storage and tons of things on floor in every room.
I did it with Shieldbreaker. It took maxxing out Piloting and Starship Design, but it was doable. 8 Turrets, 4 Suppressors, 4500kg (more if you want), 30LY jump distance, and decent speed for how big it is. It has a Workshop, Science Lab, Mess Hall, Armory, Living Quarters, Battle Bridge, All-in-Ones, and an Infirmary. The ship still looks decent as well. The only thing I had to sacrifice was mobility, I think my ship is down to 60 atm.

I made a UNSC Infinite that's all Purpose and dishes out Damage, I placed cargo containers inside the gaps in the ship on the inside so it has 10k cargo space
It really should be mentioned that some of the bigger habs are not available at your shipyard, you need to go to their respective manufacturer.

I'm currently Lv.49. I started following the video but got stuck on the second step of building "2x3 mess hall". Is that one of the modules that's level locked?

The ship must be awesome, but i try to build and is missing a lot of parts, and i unlock ship desing lvl 4
@Garthavan I think you do need higher ship design level for this, I'm at the neon ship shop and I can't buy the first part for it yet.
I believe some items are level restricted, not just locked behind ship design skills

You have to be level 50+ in order to build this ship because I didn't see the z-machine 4000 until I hit level 50

Shieldbreaker and Spacer Coyote III are exactly the same only Spacer Coyote III can be steal and they comes with reactor B 35, Crew 5, Jump 30 LY, Shield 1656, LAS 16, BAL 32, MSL 183. Value 59756, and Mass 1286.
This is exactly the kind of in depth ship buildery that my inner nerd needed.
Check out Morphologis. He's a real life architect and his ship build is very similar to Tags. I like Morph's better though

This guide is pretty significant number of parts that need to be purchased prior to the setup stage of the video. For example, the Nova Galactic Mess Hall and Taiyo Battle Stations were never mentioned until he does the final assembly of the ship.

Any idea what level that Z-Machine 4000 Reactor shows up? I am level 35 with the right skills and it isn't there yet.
I have the same problem. I have maxed piloting and maxed starship design at level 41, but I don't see the Z Machine 4000 reactor either.

According to the wiki you won't be able to see certain modules unless you are high enough player level...

Just be aware that there is a level restriction. The Helion auto beam for example is min lvl 36. the ship is great , just finished it with some minor changes
Love your tutorials, however on this one, you appear to have edited out where you picked up the large habs prior to getting to outpost.

its from the same vendor as the reacotor and its called a taiyo battle station 2x2 located in the habs tab i think you need level 4 as well not sure on player level

I'm lvl 30, lvl4 pilot and lvl 4starship design, but I do not see that reactor there.
Is it lvl capped?
If you swap out the 'armory' hab, all your weapons you put into the cases actually goes back into your ship inventory... you don't lose them.
thats how its suppose to go but some/most people have reported they lost the weapons as it doesnt go to your inventory due it bugging out.
The Armory that has the two full height glass display cases either side will lose the stuff in those cases. Be careful!
I've personally had it glitch and lost all the guns I had stored luckily must of them we're random unused guns I picked up while out scavenging so no big deal but now I no for the future not to.take that chance lol also I've lost weapons when switching home ships
For all the responses saying they've lost stuff. Yes, I completely understand that there are also gltiches and that definitely sucks for sure. You guys aren't wrong in that detail.
I keep all my guns in my armories, I’ve lost armor from the displays but that’s it

Man am I tired of seeing these "Most Powerful'" "Best Ship" and be met by videos that are by all means cool ships, but not what is advertised at all.
Also, you have access to the cockpit with stairs, no ship needs more than 2 levels, make use of it. Put the docker on the top level just behind that door, and put the landing bay ladder on the bottom level behind that door. Now you never ever have to climb a ladder again, you're welcome. Also FYI you can never have more than 7 crew, so even if you go full RP on the number of beds you're kinda killing it with all the pointless habs. Workstation and Science Lab is all you ever need on the ship, the rest is fluff.
But just using those two levels that the cockpit stairs give you, you can add in the workstation and science lab on the bottom floor alongside an all-in one hab for some chill space. On top floor you can literally do whatever the fuck.
That cockpit is the best one for layouts, enitrely wasted when you run a 3 layer ship like this.
I'm actually extremely impressed with this game's graphics and overall appearance, especially the ships. I mean, the quality reminds of something you would find in star citizen, very impressive.
Probably need to give a disclaimer that you must be a minimum of lvl 49 to build this.

Dude, the mess hall AND the weapons. This is a pretty poor tutorial. He leaves out a ton of info you need to know before building.
Whish the moders could setup ship build templates, so once you built it you can sell it on the moders market. obliviously the user needs to be at right level and right bank balance
I have ship design 4 and piloting 3 but I can't see those parts at the same Taiyo retailer NPC in Neon, the only thing I can think of is that I need piloting 4 just to see all parts??
I have Piloting lvl 3 & Starship lvl 3 but can't even *see* the z-machine 4000, only the 2020, which us lower than what it comes with ...
Just so everyone's aware, he doesn't mention it but those engines and reactors have level caps on them!! So not only do you need Starship piloting / engineering rank 4 I think you need to be level 40+ to unlock them all maybe even 45+
The reactor need whoopin level 49 to unlock along with those perk so good luck crafting captain.
@@griseek I'm not sure if people actually know that but I don't think it's common knowledge that lots of these Reactors need 40+. I'm a measely 35 haha got 10 more to go YAY 🤣

You have the internal space flow down. I wish we could choose witch hatches are open/closed on these modules. Trying to get the flow I want has been...problematic. I like continuous passageways, but the only one I've been able to get that way is on the starboard side. Sometimes partially on the port side, and never midship.
You need to be level 60 though for all of the mentioned items to appear. I am currently 52 and some don't show up for me yet (Piloting and Starship Engineering maxed).

I just made a maxed out class C and accidently wiped out the whole UC fleet outside new Atlantis. They hailed me as I was pressing the button to get out of my chair, by the time I got back in they were hostile. I popped one repair and killed a good 20 ships. The crew were NOT happy XD

i hate to be the one to say this and ruin starfield, but in space there is no resistance and everything is weightless - so i dont get how come there are speed differences
If you run the Vanguard questline, you get access to a MUCH stronger B-class shield. It has like 1400 cap.
Can you drop the name of said shield and when it becomes available?
it's literally Vanguard "something" you get access to it after you complete your intro mission into Vanguard.@@werewolfhunter1347
@@werewolfhunter1347 it's the only shield in the game with "Vanguard" in the name, and it's pretty early in the UC questlines but I don't remember exactly when

Ive spent a couple of hours to figure it out... The truth is, you CAN'T rotate the "Nova Galactic Mess Hall 3x2". Instead you need to buy "Nova Galactic Mess Hall 2x3".... Pay attention to the size "3x2" & "2x3".
So here is what you need to do: Go to the Ship Services Technician (for me it was on Sol -> Titan -> New Homestead). Open the ship builder and go to "HABS". Now, find the "Nova Galactic Cargo Hall 2x3" and use "NEXT VARIANT" (on keyboard its the right & left arrows). Voila, there you go, congrats on "Nova Galactic Mess Hall 2x3" (The variant you see in the video)...

@SparkleBurst I don't blame him for that, unless he edits his own videos. He's doing multiple takes, and someone forgot to cut out the bad takes. It definitely happens a lot.
At 13:31 dude puts the last pieces on and it says there's still two errors (one is probably unassigned weapons or something) but then just cuts to no more errors like THERE YOU HAVE IT 🙃

You need to be level 60 to have everything unlocked
If you didn’t know, if you power the grab drive up completely you jump almost instantly regardless of grab drive class.

None of these pieces are at our personal landing pads dude. It’s easy for you to disassemble and reassemble your prebuilt ship but this video isn’t really helpful to everyone else
Not at all. He should have started the video with a disclaimer saying exactly what particular points you have to have unlocked. I’m at the class b pilot but so far I’m 0 for 2. I couldn’t get the recactor or dunn 61.

A lot of these items weren’t in the outpost modifier. I had to go find several pieces and as I’m writing this I’m still looking for those helion beam weapons.
Better weapons in the game are locked behind levels. Its likely your level isnt high enough to see the helion beams shown at all yet
I ended up finding them at the New Atlantis ship tech. You do need ship design level 3 for them
Nice. Try Starfield - GoldStar, from A to B to C Class. The Ship is unmachet from the start by deleting the Frontier and making it 😅 at new game

Wtf. I can't find that 2x3 mess hall hab anywhere. I've checked at least 5 vendors so far. Also, are you using mods cause i barely got over half way through and it told me I can add anymore modules, I have starship designed maxed out
Apparently, I didn't know this either, & he didn't mention, you havr to be lvl 55+ to even see some of these parts in the shop. I just went to a few different shops to compare the best stuff i could find & built something extremely comparable at only lvl 33

I cannot say whether or not this ship is nice, since I couldn't build it. I don't have the parts unlocked yet, would have been nice if you had added the a starting citeria list. Also, and much worse, the instructions were completely unstructured. It was so hard for me to follow you since the cuts were terrible. Trying to follow you through the video just wasn't possible. Maybe I will come back to this but from this video your channel my impression of your channel is rather bad.
This video is so confusing and assumes way too much. If you're youtubing a ship build, it's clearly because you either don't know how to build a good one or don't have enough spare time to tinker around with it for hours.
This ship requires a tonne of parts you never mention and also requires ship builder level 4 which, if you managed to get to, you wouldn't need a tutorial on how to build a good ship.
Buddy missed out on where he got like 6 different items, cost break down, and bunch more like huh

Would have been sound if the levels required were stated at the start. Bought the ship and sound I needed starship design to do this. Big shame and waste of time for myself unfortunately
I would recommend upgrading the grav drive to something better if you have starship design 4 and removing one of the cargo containers for better mobility. I also swapped the autoturrets for suppressors and added missiles.
Love your video; but man, I got to say, you need to work on your editing. I think this happens in every one of your videos I've seen where you start a sentence, stop like you had messed up with what you were about to say and then start the sentence over and finish whatever it was different you were going to say. It's just a little annoying. Beyond that, great video.
You should really try being more descriptive in your videos. You failed to mention ship parts that you need have in order to do this. You did not mention the 3x2 mess hall or the 2x2 battle station. dislike!
So I am getting a ship exceeds max length/width/height error when I build this out
So.. I built this, exactly the same way you have and It's telling me I have too few landing gears. What am I missing?
My problem is that even with me having all these parts I gotta fucking travel to each area to get these parts even tho I have them already this shit is stupid… keep in mind I’m on console there probably a huge differences
Why class B tho, the main difference between B and C is the C class engine can handle the cargo you want to carry, and I am pretty sure you can sneak in a C class reactor somewhere there lol Nice ship.
In the first shipyard you delete stuff but you also add something without even mentioning it. Some kind of hab or something. Hard to follow the build that way.
This video is missing so many details. A lot of the stuff you mentioned isn't even there unless you're a specific level regardless of starship design rank.

why would the entrance bay be inaccessible to me no matter what I try? i change the bays, change the habs nothing works.

Not very helpful. For someone trying to follow this to build it, it's impossible. I got as far as deleting weapons etc and then all of a sudden there is a new big module on the ship with the docker on top.
This was not there originally, and I don;t know what it is. So how do you expect anybody to follow this and buid this ship..? Again I say, NOT very helpful... :(

Man, what I wouldn't give to have a set of plans I could print out . . .
Tried doing this and none of the parts are available from the places shown in the video.
To stop losing your weapons if you change your component, take everything out of anything that’s not part of the main ships cargo and just throw it on the floor. When you change the part out the game will dump it all back into your main cargo even if you have more than it will hold. For instance, it’ll say 650/500.
I really hate how the ladders generate randomly I have built this four different times and the ladders keep showing up in different variations it is an awesome setup and everything very nice if the ladders would get lined up
I keep getting the 1x1 companionway isolated on its own without the hab attached, sucks man :(

Can't Change the alignment of the Messhall it's 3 deep instead of three wide.
I managed to make this monstrosity at level 30, although a lot of the parts weren’t unlocked due to level requirements (for example the reactor/shield/etc). Also don’t make the mistake I did and MAKE SURE to buy the vendor exclusive parts before attempting to build this as I had to go back and forth between vendors because I was too impatient to make a list of vendor exclusive parts before attempting to build this. It cost about 300k with max commerce skill to retrofit the ship to his configuration (keep in mind the ship itself he used is another 240k I just happened to already have that ship). If you’re ok with not having the BEST parts for this build until you’re the appropriate level it is possible to do at level 30, it’s just not the best with mobility until you upgrade the engines/reactor/etc. it decimates other ships even with one primary weapon. (SPOILER)
It’s a headache but after I do the NG+ until I max out the starborn ship/suit it’ll definitely be my main for B-Class ships😮💨

It would have been good to mention in the video, that a lot of these parts are level locked. You need to be higher level, otherwise many of these parts, such as the Z Machine 4000 (level 49), SAE-5550 (level 57) etc. won't show at all, until you level up. People are going to waste time and skill points trying to make this earlier on. Nice design though.
