The fact that she can build that her self tells me she never got a bid for 20k cuz anyone that would possess such skills would not bother hiring anyone. Its like being a landscaper and hiring a landscaper.
One thing that’s so misleading is them never factoring in the labor time. It’s easy to pretend like you got a deal by doing it yourself when you don’t account for the sweat equity. I’m sure with labor they spent well more than 20k in material labor and tools
Next time on cheap skates on TLC. Tho why not cheaper wood? And most tools to build a closet would count towards other projects too soo... I wouldn't buy em specifically for a closet. And never use em again hahaha
My goodness this goes so fast I know it's on Tik-Tok but do you have a normal video that you can show how you do it step-by-step I would love to do this in my laundry room
It's kind of hard to take DIY advice from someone who has a room in their house just for a closet that is as big as most people's living room. kind of out of touch

Good job but to think that the average homeowner can do that you are crazy and why did you even get estimates if you could’ve done it yourself I just don’t understand especially if you are as skilled as it looks like you are
Even if it was 20k sometimes there's a reason why stuff averages out high like that... Yeah you can do it yourself but most of the time it won't be done as professional.. Regardless you're getting the reaction you wanted so I guess it's a win win 😂
Sure you can do it, you can do anything…..however you got a novice install which has no warranty, it will take up everything in your life and take 2 weeks longer than pros. The real difference is materials, you’re using big box crap, the hardware, the finishes…..if you were actually debating using a pro and not just wasting his time, you would of gotten 3 bids and you would of been able to relax, get a better deal, with a warranty and knowing the craftsmanship is superior, knowing you made up a contract and both signed it….you’re all set! You could have had a professional job with a warranty….instead you got the ever more BS’n interneters diy first time blah. And the worst part….because we’re all so stuck in our own narcissism, you’ll just say, “I didn’t need a professional install, I got exactly what I wanted by diy” here’s the kicker…..just good enough for what I need?! Well if you compare my 20yrs or carpentry and your diy….you’d start to understand why my tone, may sound a bit rude. I commend you did the work, I wish people were that passionate, however what this does to the craft….is lower expectations, lower quality, and give people unrealistic data and when you look at craftsmanship from the 19th century….a west coast craftsman “Greene and Greene house” you’ll understand why I’m so passionate and think what we’ve done with many industries, is an outright crime….we are not evolving we’re just feeding the cheap Chinese slave and child labor global market, all for cheaper bs! Two wrongs don’t make a right! All the best
I build same style closet for 300$ with recycling. Only hardware has been bought.
can you clarify what you mean by recycling?

Could you make a normal length video about how you guys made this wardrobe? I have to make two in my house.
There is a complete tutorial on my blog startathomedecor.com

$5000 on what? $4500 marble center piece?
waterfall counter top was how much? 20k sounds right considering thats what a kitchen cost
加两列抽屉就完美了,太多框架看着眼花

$5000 = ₹4,00,000/- +
For that amount we can have false ceiling for a 1500 sq. ft home and also modular kitchen done. Bdw loved your work 🫡
5k would include all the equipment needed.
And labour
Oh my goodness I love that island and those shelves are amazing
Very nice 👌
Nice job 👏🏼 👍🏻
How is that 5k?
Bravo❤
In India we can build it in $115/-
😅$5000/- closet is like money wasted.

except you are wrong... when you are building a whole house you get the whole house bid. Then you figure out what you can do yourself to save money.
How the hell did this cost 5k?? This is max $400 to $600!
20 k, 5k 🤣🤣🤣 ! Id fly to were ever you are from the uk stay in a hotel and build it for 5k
That's a wardrobe? Thought it was a kitchen. Do you live in a mansion?
No way it cost u 5k & no 1 is buying it for 20k stop spreading lies 😂
5000?? Material, tools, time , delivery,?
Haha.. that's not even close to 2,000

Stick to your day job. They should've been deeper to prevent the clothes from looking such a mess
That was $5000?? It's beautiful, but what cost so much? Oh, the tools! That makes more sense. 😅
Tools and plywood is very expensive....
@@gradeawork2242seriously though. That’s nowhere near 5000 in plywood and/or tools. Lmfao

Wow, sorry, but it's too expensive for a South African to build such a beautiful cupboard! Wish I could afford it!😢
In melamine material with my company you’d be looking at around 2500 and it would look 10x nicer
