Home With Stefani help me too....😩😁
Done! New subbie here.
🙋♀️ new subscriber!!!! So glad I found your channel 😊!!
Omg My closet is exactly identical to yours! I am looking forward to seeing the progress from beginning to end for some inspiration for my own dream closet!
Can you please share the dimensions of your closet? Thanks
THIS is legit DIY. Working on the ground, minimal amount of tools. No fancy 100k workshop. This makes me happy to find as a DIY. I always run across the "DIY" where they have thousands in equipment and tools. Thank you.
TBF they're all DYI. The more you get into DYI, the more tools you end up getting. You really just need a circular saw and a drill to build whatever you want. The more tools you add, the easier, more refined, and better finish your build has. For example, she used pocket holes, which is another tool to add refinement to the product.
Well glueing stuff on walls is indeed legit crappy DIY
I feel you man they all seem to have their own work shops like WTF this isn't real DIY Y'ALL MF are just professional contractors
I'm with you. I hate seeing the DIY videos where it's like "All you need to do this is this $10,000 tool and 10 people!"
They are still DIY, just with better tools than you have.
Girl, you did that!!! You need to, if you’re not already, advertise your skills and make plenty of money. You did this just the way I want to do mine, with “ MY” ideas, not Home Depot or IKEA, and they are cheaper than the “Closet Professionals” that charge you for every little detail. This isn’t someone else’s pre-fab boards; These are “THE REAL DEAL”!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!
Thank you so much!! You're the sweetest!!
Girl I LOVE this. Have been wanting to do this to my closet in the house we bought a few months ago. Such an elevated and more organized look. Thanks for sharing!!
The “before” is exactly what my closet looks like now in the new home lol, thanks for sharing! I’ll be doing something similar.
Hi Stefani, thank you so much for sharing this video. On 2021 I was looking a video that shows exactly what you exposed on this. Immediately I began to construct mine with different material (pvc). And in a week I finished it. I’m so proud of my closet and of myself. It was my first attempt. I love it ❤️
I've been researching a new closet design for months. I've found the answer in your video. Thank you for taking the time to share.
So glad to hear that! Thank you for watching
This was THE best DIY closet makeover I have ever seen! SO helpful! Was debating the exact same thing! Ikea PAX wardrobe, closet organizing systems...all SO expensive and this video was AWESOME!! I will for sure be doing this for my walk-in closet!
I really admire you how you have been patient and get them all done.
Wow you're amazing!!! My husband and I started remodeling our home and we almost died when we found out how much built-in closets cost. Saved your video so I can reference this when it's time 👏👏👏
Simply put, you are amazing! I've done this before and I am getting ready to do this again for my daughter and I can't tell you how inspiring you were to watch doing this! No matter how you did what you did (and there are many ways to do everything; the way you did built this closet was excellent and well thought through. So impressive. Keep up the good work!
Thank you, Chris! I really appreciate it. I’m sure your daughter will love her new closet 😊
Thank you, Chris! I really appreciate it. I’m sure your daughter will love her new closet 😊

I agree, the result is AMAZING. You are so capable woman Stephanie!
what amazing is that, you actually did ALL of that by yourself! just wow! I feel like I could also do it 😊😊 -watching from Philippines 😍😍
I kept seeing this video pop up in my feed, I am so glad I watched it!! I am now binge watching all your videos now. Your work and talent is amazing! Keep up the awesome work, I can't wait for more videos! Could you possibly do ones about a kitchen renovation? I would love to see that!
love the idea of building the dressers into the closet! going to try to use this for my fiance's closet build
I watched your videos at least 5 times then tackled my closer makeover. I love it! Thank you
Beautiful job, I love the simplicity you work with. Amazing!
This is the first time a video of yours popped up in my recommendations and I'm so glad I clicked on it. You make me feel like I could build something, too. What? I have a drill and a level. *cracks herself up* I'm just crafty, not buildy. On to part two!
I’m so glad you found my videos!! You can be buildy too 🤗
@@HomeWithStefani hi
Yes !! Handy women unite !! I’m building cabinets for laundry room makeover and husband doesn’t even know what a stud of😂😂😂😂
LOVE IT!!! You go girl😅🤗💪
🤣🤣
Lol
@Tony McSteven
🙄 handy woman works
Sounds like you need a new husband ha. Obviously he’s no stud.
We are getting ready to DIY our closet and watched your video. We looked at Closet Maid, IKEA, and a few others, but decided we would do our own. Nothing seemed to be exactly what we wanted for our closet. Thanks for all your great ideas. We’ll learn from your ideas! Watching your videos reminded us of our daughter who does a lot of home remodeling and repairs ♥️
Great video to watch. It's definitely serving as inspiration for when the Mrs. And I can customize our space!
You're so clever! I wish I was that handy with tools! Looks amazing!
Thank you!!
Like most things Tamara... It's practice.
Don't necessarily start with your closet... But start somewhere... You'll get it
Heavily edited video, willing to bet she is not handy as it appears
@@Mike-ij8uq I get the feeling that's wishful thinking on your part. :)
@@tamaragallagher9545 Show the out takes, list some mistakes, prove me wrong.
Omg yes you gave me the best idea ever I’ve been trying to find a way to add drawers to my closet never even thought about buying one from ikea ❤️ malm for me that’s what the rest of our furniture is
Glad to see your better half helping , nice job and like what you did.
Thank you!!! I’m about to try and tackle my closet. This RUclips video came right on time.
So impressive! Wife and I are gonna start on her’s and this is my favorite so far.
the dressers were a great idea and they match the wood around it perfectly! (in the future, you should change the drawer slides for the dressers so that it holds more and is more stable!
I’m doing mine too!, all the tips you gave are golden! I learned a lot watching this ❤️☺️
This woman! Such talent!
The tarva hack is genius!!! I have being trying to figure out our long narrow walk in closet and considered so many options as well, this gave me the courage to do it on my own! Love a woman who does her own building and DIYs. New Subbie! This is fantastic, gonna go watch part 2 now!
Love to hear that!! Thank you so much for watching! Good luck, you can dooo it!😊💪
Did the tarva not come with legs or did you just not use them?
@@Dhh77 she didn't use them... she built a new base
Nicely done. FYI: For future closet remodels, you can save yourself a step by screwing your base frame into the bottom plate of the wall, rather than having to locate studs.
I couldn’t sleep the other night and was watching this video, I got up and took everything out of my closet and I’m stealing your design idea!!!
Wow... great job... very impressed and many great idea's. Love the base you put on, I had not thought about doing that but will almost for sure add one now. The Tarva drawer system is another great idea that I will probably also use. Can't wait to watch part 2 now. Thanks for taking all the time to put the video together which I'm sure was no easy task either.
Donating out of rotation clothes and shoes feels awesome too. Amazing work.
Thank you!
Wow, great job! You look like pro, very high skills, really liked the attitude and self confidence to face the plunge!
Thank you so much!!
My hero!! So inspirational that a woman just gets it done!! 🙌🏻
This is exactly what I needed! We downsized (empty nesters now) and could not find a closet system that fit our space and our budget. Great video! Thanks!
Go video:
Tip from longtime experience with doors, pop the pins, that way for reinstall you just have to put the pins back in. Also use a flat bar driven in under the carpet strip nails perpendicular to tack strips and you can take the whole strip up with only a few bangs on each nail.
Same thing I was thinking. This is the second video recently I have seen where they have done this. Door removal takes seconds if you pop the pins.
Dang, someone got busy during lockdown. Great job!
Thank you!!
OMG! You are doing an amazing job! Thank you for all the awesome tips and creativity…
That is an awesome DIY..! So talented and thank you for your service
Holy crap!! I’m so impressed, I wish I could do this!! Good for you!
Thanks girl!! And thanks for watching 😊
Cassandra Jedlinski .Profanity makes you sound ignorant.
Daniel Holt XXL 😂😂😂😂 okay bud 👌🏽👌🏽
Love your closet makeover. Sure wish I could do it as easy as you did.
Thanks Cathy!!
I love that safe bundle!
First time I see that, how to move your clothes on hangers.
Cool idea!!😊
Best quarantine project I've seen! OMG.
Wow, looks great and very good work. The only suggestion I'd have for anyone that replicates this. Try not to glue large pieces of wood to sheet rock. When the wood contracts just a tiny bit, it can put stress on the drywall and even cause small cracks. And if you ever decide to change the space, you'll have a wall that needs a lot of repair. A few pocket hole screws should work.
Who said she can’t do it?
Is now shoooocked!
Congrats
Thank you, Carla!
Wow, your beauty and creativity is sooo amazing!!
This is so helpful. I'm literally on the same closer quest you described in the beginning.
you are amazing and you have inspired me to try my hand at this. you make it look easy,,,we'll see how it goes for me..lol
That's my goal! Thanks so much for watching and good luck!! 😊💪
Came out great. Exactly what I’ve been looking for to do my closet. Don’t know if I missed it. Did you use 3/4 plywood ?
Thank you! Yes I used 3/4" plywood
I'm in the process of building out our master closet. There are so few videos on RUclips of people building walk in closets, so this video has been very helpful.
I might even record it and past it in RUclips to help others down the road.
I loved your "wtf" moment when the drawer didn't fit. I can sooo relate to that IKEA built it yourself experience.
This has inspired me to do this with my walk in closet, I too have carpeting in my closet but it's subflooring that's underneath, do u recommend pulling the carpeting out? Or is it ok to leave it in?
:( I already failed Dream Closet Makeover step 1: Buy a house with closet bigger than a shoebox.
I love your energy and wisdom.
This is so inspirational, can't wait to get started on mine! :)
Thank you Karina!! Good luck 🤗
@@HomeWithStefani Try being honest in your videos, mistakes were made and you know it
This is amazing! I have a super basic walk-in closet and would love to do something like this
I saw the Packers jersey and solidified my resolve to watch this through. Glad I did! Good job!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for showing us every single step!!!! You’re the best!
The "WTF" moment is so funny! Your look is priceless!
Ah, but was it the IKEA or the wine... or both?
I laughed out loud! 😅💙
@@Struthio_Camelus You should put together IKEA furniture with a glass of wine. The glass is obligatory, it is drawn on the box, sometimes even two or three.
One thing to consider, even purchasing before an impact/driver (referring to the spirited debate in the comments lol), some knee pads. They'll help under a range of conditions/home improvement projects and they're like a patella vacation. Hope that's helpful.
What a difference and much better. Awesome job!
Great job, very well explained. Love the layout! Only thing missing is a toe kick. Thanks for sharing your time and talent!
Good job. One small improvement would to replace the cheap drawer slides with soft close ones.
That would be a nice feature👍
Me: wow this seems pretty easy...I could totally do this and save tons
Also me: only owns a screwdriver
Its not easy! Nobody gets every cut, every angle or every screw in perfect zero mistakes, even the pros. This is a scripted performance.
😂
That's me 😂
@@lihlemokgalaka4548just finished my closet project last month. Cut the closet rods too short due to a measurement error...had to make a trip back to hardware store to buy new...that is reality.
Hot chick doing a closet install is fake
LOL!
Thank you so much for your detailed information on your steps. I want to customize my walk-in closet but felt very intimidated. But, now I'm confident I can complete it. Thanks again from your new follower. Stay healthy.
Amazing job. 🙌👏
I love Girl Kick Ass movies! watching you build this while your husband stood on the baseboard made me think "she's kickass with that drill". LOL. looks great!
Great video! TFS 😃
another hack- when taking the door off; take the pins out of the hinges. Then put the pin in the hinge part on the wall. It’s faster & you don’t run the risk of having to re-drill holes in the door. 😬
Edit- that’s for IF you’re putting the door back 😬
Thank you for the tip!!😊
I had to pause the video to come make sure someone told her this in the comments. Wonderful renovation though!
Yes indeed, I carefully taped off and painted the architraves around my mother-in-law's seven doors and was trying to remove the eighth door to replace carpet when I spotted the hinge pins..... AARĢHHH!
You learn something every day.
I never viewed your videos until today you did a great job. I didn't know that Ryobi made a brad nailer like this. Thank you for sharing your video with us.
I"m adding a closet to a room that doesn't have a closet, and I wanted to DIY closet organizer. I like your system and approach. Thanks for the inspiration!
Closet is much more functional than before. Good idea on the shoe space.
Great job , just thought i would mention that when you put wood on concrete it will suck up moisture so use a vapor barrier or pressure treated wood next time... keep up the good work and videos....
Very good tip. I'll remember that for next time. Thank you!!
WOW!! You are a badass. I'm looking for a closet organizer and not having any luck. You have inspired me to possibly give it a go. You are a talented lady. Thank you
This is awesome and I'm so inspired..thank you for sharing this journey!
Thank you for watching 😊
Finally someone with a normal idea, and a normal size closet. Some of these other videos... jesus h crist!
Haha thank you!!
Devens got himself a keeper! Great job.
I love this. Thanks for sharing. I may look into this plan for my closet
Well done! Sadly, I just did something like this for my daughter's closet. I wish I had seen this before, It would've helped with idea. I am on the hook for more closet renovations in the house, so I'll put your ideas to work on those. Cheers!
Oh bummer! Use it for the next one, good luck!! 💪😊
Wow your amazing!! I just watched all three videos and I wish I could do a fraction of what you did. I have an awkward closet that I don’t know how to reconfigure but this is giving me hope
Thank you so much!! I hope it helped, you can do it!! 😊💪
I like the closet bro, biggest of them all.
Wow! I've been doing this stuff for years and you are really talented.
11:41 had a very similar moment when I was building two open PAX closets that hold jewelry drawers, glass plates and regular drawers. I thought I was losing my mind haha. Nice build by the way!
Oh my I remember when wire shelves were the best thing going. Not now.
I hate them! They get so grimey after a few years and is not pleasing to my eyes as of today! They don’t geive full support like eid shelving
@@ShayBelladonna
Agree but I do like the look of silver metal shelving and drawers. You can buy or make solid toppers for shelves for best of both. 😉
This is so perfect Stefani!!! my closet is almost idental to yours, thank you for sharing this. I'll be doing this after I cook this baby. Whats the program you used for designing the closet?
Thanks girl!! I used SketchUp! Good luck, you can dooo it!😊💪
@@HomeWithStefani I knew I’d find it in the comments!!!! Thank you and good job on that closet
I love Stephanyi Terry's wood projects.
Great video! Thanks for using the oscillating saw. It is such an underused tool.
Subscribed after seeing your page on the trending page as the creator on the rise. I love what you're doing!!!
Thanks so much for following along, Kevin!!
I love this! How much did the whole project cost?
One ruppee!
@@Kevin-sm8pn shut up chav Kev !
I cant believe that You do all by yourself. You also took the doors by yourself. Nice work.
I love this DIY! You are very inspiring!
i hit like button because I saw you had a Packers jersey! Go Pack Go..Great job btw..
Go Pack! 💛💚
Yea right, you clicked because of a blonde in shorts🤣
@@besomenabde
Prob but one who can also design and build a great custom walk-in closet.
This is a very interesting project. Video nicely done. The only item I had doubts about was the 2x4 base. Were those 2x4s regular, non-treated wood? I don't know how well they would hold up on bare concrete flooring without a barrier in-between. Concrete and bare, untreated wood do not interface well.
Would it be ok to build this directly on top of floors instead?
GIRLLLLLL....YOU ARE THR REAL MVP!! 👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you for the Johnny Cash moment, and congrats for the good job!
Awesome job! Have to admit, that the words "wine", "chugging", and "Ikea" don't sound like a good mix, but it works! And THANK YOU for your service!
Haha thank you so much! I appreciate it😊
Amazing job! One tip though ! Bend with your knees not your waist or you gonna suffer from chronical pain in the future! Just try to sit like you do squats rather than getting your head towards your knees. Keep up!
Great build! Showed this to my wife n she loves it
Love this. You're a little pocket Rocket! fantastic creative skills and patience.
