Andre is a big MUSE fan and has done a lot of other videos similar to this, covering other songs in the style of MUSE and other artists. He also makes so much other good stuff, he's an amazing player and guy!
what I love about his covers is that he references specific songs in his choices for the bass, the guitars, and the drums. you can hear hysteria, citizen erased, the handler, their cover of feeling good etc. he also has a couple of Beatles covers in the style of muse, they're great too. he did a Knights of cydonia in the style of system of a down, and I read somewhere both bands heard it and liked it🤷♀
9.5!! And nodding cat! Holy Smokes!!! I love the cover and I knew you would too. What more is there to say? He played homage to both bands equally. Now! Thankfully I no another few covers by him,in the style of Muse. Will be difficult to top that though.
While I don't know if Muse or Metallica have heard this, Andre Antunes recently did another upload of a reimagining... Muse's Knights of Cydonia if performed by System of a Down. Matt Bellamy posted "Gold" and Serj Tankian reposted "I concur". I may have to request that one. Really cool to have this come up on my page today, and happy you enjoyed it for what it was! I also speculate that Andre is a bass player at heart. I also think [speculation; not fact] the drums are likely programmed, which is actually really impressive either way, the fact that I can't really tell.
I had no idea that on top of all his other talent, he can also sing like that. I never even heard his voice, he was a silent protagonist until now. Scary talented.
A fantastic analysis of yours, he is really good at what he does, just watch his channel. Classical music... I am happily grateful for the reaction of a Portuguese musician on your channel. Fantastic!! Thank you!!
The thing is with Muse is they have such an iconic sound that you always know it is Muse… and Andre absolutely nailed it, I mean even down to the way he was standing in front of the mic in the video was like Matt Bellamy… he even got little details like how Matt pulls back from the mic to get a certain sound… it’s pretty impressive!
I haven't seen the reaction yet, nor read the comments if I'm being replicated, but you have no idea how spot on this cover is. Every single detail, the arpeggios, the slides, the harmonics, the positioning of the falsettos, the heaviness coming from the bass, the megaphone from feeling food cover, the galloping when needed.. Andre is truly a Muse nerd to capture all these
This was a fun video! I've seen a lot of Andre's work and it is quite good but it does make me laugh a bit on how accurate his interpretation of Muse's style is.
André is brilliant. I had a beer once about 2 meters away from him just before a Rammstein concert here in Lisbon, I swear that made me a little bit smarter.
A very creative and interesting version. The original track is definitely long. But... Being long the Original doesnt "feel" long. And this cover feels kind of long.

I really like his cover of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"

Loved this video. Already knew Andre's work (his channel deserves a look), but was good to hear your opinion

Legendary cover/ reimagination

Good solid tune
