Underrated song, one of their best for imo, The Resistance is a great album but this and Unnatural Selection sold it to me

And my weekend has started with a bang! Glad u loved it. Its a hidden gem of a song. Your right it's great songwriting,knowing exactly what we want from this style of muse song. UK tour is announced next Friday,so I would imagine American tour announcement won't be faraway also. I highly recommend it for u and Mrs Heretic! 🤘That's the truth! C'mon now!

Probs the most underrated muse tune. And the subject matter tops it all off. Full blown mk ultra mind control psy ops
they've sadly only played this one on 1 world tour and havent had it back. It was voted (on Muse Reddit) to be the best song on the album (The Resistance) and I have to agree. The song didnt stick around, cause there were other songs that took the spotlight on that album
I like Exogenesis Symphony better as a whole but Mk Ultra is my favorite single song from The Resistance, I even have my flair as "All of history deleted with one stroke" on the Muse subreddit. Which reminds me I need to vote on the Absolution Survivor and hope Sing for Absolution makes it to 4th place at least.

You cannot possibly understand how it makes me feel to re discover a song through your video. This is a banger and it’s a pity they don’t play a lot of these incredible songs. THANK YOU!

Most importantly: can we get a cut of your greatest hits where you decide NOT to rate a song objectively? What happens when you just review and rate off the cuff? That'd be a cool changeup for your channel. Not that you need it because you're awesome.
I'm really surprised how much I enjoyed this. I've watched every single one of your Muse reactions, and when I saw this song come up, I wasn't that excited. It's not one of my favorite Muse songs. But the way you reacted to it and the way to dissected it, you got me into it and honestly I'm going to have to go back into it. Maybe I underrated it. You have me reconsidering my entire Muse fandom.
MUSE LIVE. I saw Muse live in Seoul at Olympic Park and Nuremburg at Rock im Park. This song was not released yet but I can categorically confirm they are unequivocally, 100% worth the time. They are amazing live, whatever songs are on the setlist. They put on one HELL of a show and I STRONGLY recommend seeing them if you get the chance!!

Man this song blew me away back when the album came out. I tried learning it on guitar soon after and it was a mindfuck of chord manipulation. The ending run is particularly complicated and brilliant.
There's a lot of really creative arranging on The Resistance and MK Ultra was no exception!
It's sad that is not frequent on the current setlist, however, I can assure you that they will not disappoint you. They always go crazy with outro riffs from RATM / Deftones / Slipknot and the thrive is at is finest.
They do play songs amazingly good live and you've scored the common setlist songs.
They'll be touring in the US this fall. I really recommend you to attend it if you've got the chance!!
Love this song so much it's such an underrated Muse song!!!! Also the history behind the lyrics is so interesting and a huge part of history that not many people know about and it actually happened not that long ago, which is crazy!!
Been to 10 Muse gigs and I can honestly say, they've played this maybe twice which is very disappointing. They tend to play only their album release songs and when there's intimate gigs this song doesn't get played. I do love this live though!

Funny enough, Kill or Be Killed was slated to be my August request, but Muse didn't release it in time for DH's taping, so I replaced it with this version of MK Ultra.
Wasn't expecting it to possibly become his new favorite Muse track! Now "Kill or Be Killed" will have more competition for DH's "top Muse song" whenever he gets to it.

This is a unicorn at Muse gigs. I wish they would play the lesser known songs. I still haven't heard Cave live in 20 years.
Yeah, this song is extremely underrated. One of my favorites from Muse. Like you said, it just has an unrelentig drive, and that explosion after the bridge just forces you to move.
Yeah, they're amazing live. One of the best shows I've ever seen was the 2nd Law World Tour back in 2013. Highly recommend! They're in Cali in early October, so.....

Always surprised by which muse songs your going to enjoy, makes it more interesting, I almost skipped this video because I assumed you'd hate it, especially live, since they rarely play this song. Glad you liked it.
I'm glad the requests are showing you the Muse we know and love. Such a great song. Unfortunately this hasn't been I the live rotation for a while and I don't believe it's a frequent one at that. So it's unlikely if you see them, you'll hear it. But never say never. Regardless, you won't regret seeing them live one bit.

I love this song, it's one of my favorite Muse album and my second favorite from the album The Resistance. However, it's one of the rare cases where I prefere the studio version to the live version, but the live is still awesome.
Unfortunately Muse don't consider it one of the main songs of the album and it hardly got played live after the album's live era. It's not a big fan favorite either.

One of their most overlooked songs
I think I was there (if this is the show in Turin in December 2010 - maybe), you made my day with these sweet memories 😍 mk ultra is perhaps my favourite song from the album (well, not so sure, there are so many jewels, like Exogenesis).
P.s. I agree, this song is all for the drummer. Amazing Dom, he’s so talented (they are all so talented)

I was really excited to see your review for this song when I saw it in the queue. I thought you might like it since you loved Unnatural Selection, which is on the same album (The Resistance), and called it your favorite muse song at the time, but I was surprised that this ended up with such a high score and the possibility of a new favorite. to my mind it's the greatest muse song along with stockholm syndrome
I saw them play this live for the very first time in Birmingham NIA of all places, always felt it was one of the stronger tracks on the album sadly not played live nearly enough, mind you there’s a lot of their songs like that, they could play an entire show out of songs that are rarely if ever played live and they would still be great gigs. “City of delusion” and “exo-politics” from BH&R are other examples of songs I feel like could have had a bit more show time.

The other day I looked and Muse had a few dates in California, Chicago, and New York in October posted - don't know if any of those cities are reasonable for you to get to.
You nailed it with Assassin (live at Mayan) and Won't Stand Down. Also add Unnatural Selection (live).
